  • Having spent another year working on our practical lighting technique for scenes shot at night, APSL ventured out on two weekends during December 2023 along the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad to capture some unique night scenes of their annual Polar Express Train Ride.
APSL is pleased to bring you this short program showcasing some of what we captured in both the daytime and of course, at night.

Very well done, I was shooting the Frostburg Polar Express trains, Dec 8-10th. I also tried some night video at both signal bridges but realized I needed more light. I will definitely be back next year to do it again.

Thank you! And absolutely, as it is a great shot. We have a rule of thumb of carrying 4 lights minimum on shooting video.
