Man, team "Our Resident Cinnamon roll and the man who patiently explains things to him" killed it.
"Who's who?"
"Well..."
@@project.mirari yes
You mean Thicc Funnel?
The water I was drinking came out of my nose when Adam played Oko and said “that’s a plus one?!”
Certified Oko moment
If you guys do this again, it would be fun to have a montage of coaching at the beginning. Kind of like opening prerelease kits at the PPR.
Adam is low-key a great magic player. Man could have a nice career in canlander if he wanted to.
I would like to contest "low-key"
But otherwise agree with your entire statement.
@@StephenJones-il9ok i think they preference the compliment with "lowkey" bc adam is largely regarded as a "big dumb idiot" (deck) player, and he generally doesnt play the more think tank decks, but i agree, i think adam deserves the respect of a blue player he played so well
I loved seeing people who haven't played much highlander piece together the interactions of the format. The turn with Jitte on the white creature swinging into a tourach that didn't block was a roller coaster to watch!
Whoa, Nelson and Wheeler are terrific coaches! Hope to see this concept again, thanks for the video.
Serge and the other guy are also present!
@@overtonwindowshopper Absolutely, Serge and Alex are great too, they didn't get as much time to coach this time around though, hope to see them do it again!
Thank you for having me it’s great to ben here
LRR can never have enough bens
Thank you for benning here it’s great to have you
Always here for Canlander, but this especially sounds amazing. Looking forward to sitting down in an hour and properly starting this over dinner!
Bon appetit mate!
Adam genuinely impressed me with how well he played that control deck, good job!
Adam is good at magic
@@zacharyellis6363 Yeah Adam has a really goofy demeanor, and sometimes has a fondness for "dumb" decks when they're making content, so it's really easy to get the impression that he's not a great player, but he's an extremely solid player, he's just humble and nice.
I'd love too see more of coach Wheeler and Serge, always like your tabletalk which there is a lot to learn from so seeing it turned into straight up advice to assist in the following games was very cool!
Excellence, as always. Thank you.
I would watch so much more of this! Again, please.
always love any canlander content! especially with as much of the team as possible!
Not even three minutes in and things are completely going off the rails. Never change, please.
Shout out to Adam! Crushing it. Love his spirit
Adam discovering broken cards in real time was great!
My first thought when Wheeler mentioned trying to find English versions of cards was "I sure want Adam to draw ever foreign card" and game one did not disappoint lol
The post game discussion is actually super cool. Getting everyone's breakdown on their thought process and assessment of each play was very insightful and I'd love to see more of it.
The knowledge that Alex owns a Ravenloft Adventurer alone warms my heart but the fact that afaik he wasn't the first one play it on camera is even warmer.
This is amazing content. I think it would be very cool if y'all did this again maybe a couple months from now; keep the decks the same for familiarty, but changing opponents so they can see how their decks work in different matchups. Trying to see if eventually the "B" team can get used to their deck enough to rely on the coaches less. Either way, would love to see more of this for sure.
Edited: for grammer
"ehh, whatever powermove
your fragile ego feels like it
needs to make" - Coach Nelly 🔥
Spooky, only a day or two ago me and a friend of mine just talked about how you should do a canlander battle by proxy again. Good job!
The other one of these y'all did years ago
was amazing and this one is just as stellar. This is by far my favorite magic content y'all make and i hope we get to see more of them in the future
I would love to see more of this, it was wonderful and insightful
This is sick! Love the coach// player dynamic
This was a lot of fun, and I would indeed like to see more of it! :D
this was so incredible, please i hope there is more of these in the future
Very fun highlander game thanks.
LOVE this content. Everyone was fantastic, and it was very entertaining and the coaching and play and everything I feel has given me legit pointers to improve my own play.
Come for the Benjamin stay for the Wheeler
I was just re-watching the highlander by proxy vod a couple of weeks ago and thinking they should do this again but with these exact changes. This was fantastic.
I'd love to see this be able to grow into some sort of return to the LRR League... Maybe some sort of Team play league with mentor/newbie pairs? I just miss the old "the stakes COULD be lower (but not much)" feeling of continuity and progression from month to month.
Lets go foreign cheat sheet! Love canlander and more Adam please
This was great and I look forward to more of it in the future.
I'm so happy to see everyone canlanding!!!
I am so overjoyed to see the other free spells from alliances get love. Beautiful.
Sweet idea. Definitely tune in for more of this
Oh PLEASE give us a Beej vs Ian showmatch next time!
I loved this! would enjoy seeing more!
This is such a great idea. Loved it
This was amazing. it also helped me see things usually quickly explained.
I love the Highlander content and this was really awesome. I would love to see more of these types of videos.
Awesome idea for a series. Great to get the insider info from the pros.
This was a great idea, would love to see more. Especially the table talk about the plays after each round was very interesting.
Wheeler read James LIKE A BOOK
huge fan of this concept, and the games were great! Would love more in the future!
omg that intro killed me. all of it. xD "Alright I will!" *Flicks top of black deck*
For the 3 judges? Feels like there are more that love this format : D
this is just the gosh darn cutest thing i've ever seen
Good stuff, would watch more!
Love this concept! Hearing Nelson and Wheeler coach the players was really nice
Can't wait to see this style often
That was extremely enjoyable. As a Commander player I mostly listen to the Highlander games for general tips of play / high rated cards / and the pure entertainment value that is LRR banter.
I would LOVE to see more of this format, it's a bit slower and more detailed on the parts that I like, though I know some might be here for the technical plays that the A Team bring, I am much more in favor of the watching the B Team + Coaches personally.
this was a fantastic format, would absolutely love to see more!
Man Nelly and James looking at their opener at 56:10 was just GOLD. Love you guys as always, nice to see more faces att different kinds of FNPF! Thanks as always for the great content you guys make
Genuinely one of my favorite episodes of Canadian Highlander. Not to say I don't enjoy the others, but the input from judges between matches was insightful and quite fun.
Also, Adam is scary wicked with control decks.
Great video. Love me some Boros Equipment decks.
Great vid love this style a lot!
Gotta say, this is a really fun format for a video.
41:00 still being surprised when ready Oko sounds about right
As one of apparently a lot of people who've never played canadian highlander but are fascinated by the format, this was really cool! It's like a neat little package of showing off cool decks, how to play them, concrete examples of things to improve from the game, and just making the format more accessible in general. Great video!
Whooo!
I've been looking forward to this VOD since the format was announced. Hoping there are more games of Canadian Bystander in future streams - it's good, clean fun
Watched this live and really loved it, was surprised how much I enjoyed the coaching aspect and breakdown of play, please do it again if you’re all up for it, or something similar at least!
Great plays, great coaching! Never enough Canlander content for me.
This was awesome! More of this is always a good idea! Loved Kathleen’s double kill turn! As a big fan of mono black myself
Can lander has been a recent addition to my interest and this was a super fun video!
I like how, even proxied, Wheeler still isn't playing with a black border ancestrall recall
This was amazing and I would love to see more of this
This was a super fun stream, would be more than happy to watch more of this format if you decide to do it again.
Great watch! As an possible variation: Lambs lead by Lions versus Lions lead by lambs! One experienced highlander player coaches a new player against an experienced player who is playing a deck built by an inexperienced player
Great show! I'd be really interested in seeing either different pilots or just a shuffling of the coach / pilot pairs.
I really liked this. I love learning/casual play stuff.
I cannot beleive I missed this! I love all the mentoring/teaching that the N100 crew does to bring more people to the game. All the coaches and all the athletes in the ring were superb! Kudos and, please, more CanLander? Much love
This was really good content guys. More please!!!
Love you guys :)
Awesome
So good! 👍
I vote for Highlander. I would also LOVE to see an Emperor game. 3 v 3 magic.
🤔
Oh some more quality canlander content? I'm in
This was a really cool idea i have a crazy idea maybe try and get Jacob to play just for fun and maybe build a vampire themed deck around Dracula i think it's a cool idea at least
Man, loved to see the notes and coaching after the round
I noticed Adam played a card called "Force of Will" which I just call "blue contagion".
I think we absolutely need more of this content. I’m not saying we have to make “The Canadian Highlander B League”, but that would be pretty rad
Absurdly excited to watch this
It is great to be here.
Please keep doing this i really like having the talks after the game cause i feel like it helps literally everyone get better even the coaches
Loved this format
I really enjoy these "playing by proxy" games, the original one was such a blast, and I love this one even more.
Boy, Adam really nailed playing that Sultai Control deck! That's not a simple deck to pilot, and he just knocked it out of the park!
This was awesome!
I don't know if Adam plays Control normally, but he's got the steel for it.
Cool to see basically the whole crew today
I hope when we get more of this that Cam will join. He's the perfect middle ground between newbie and veteran
You know, Ben joked about finding a 0-drop in the red white equipment deck with Ranger-Captain, but now I’m wondering if Ornithopter or Rograkh is viable in the list. Both hold equipment quite well, although I suppose they’d need some sort of starting buff to put counters on Jitte.
Gosh I’d love to do this as Wheeler’s coachee
This was great
Serge said to say something nice.
Something nice.
In all seriousness, please do this again! Love this kind of content! Also, Highlander League back when? 🥺
Last time you did the commentary wich I preferred to this double table friend setup
I am engaged by this content
Great content, more!
Love more highlander content!
This was really fun! Though it's real rough that Kathleen was so land starved, I wanted to see what that Obliterator was gonna do to the board!
For those of you at home, Garza's Assassin does not trigger its own Recover ability.
