    Thank you for another great video. It's amazing that computers keep getting faster/more powerful and lower power. Go Moore's Law!

    I'm just getting into Proxmox and Linux and am loving your videos! They have helped me a lot so far. I am just getting started with home labing using a Dell 3080 mini PC myself. Loving it so far! Getting docker and portainer setup using your videos currently!

    I also just got hp elitedesk 800 g4 sff also i5 and 8gb ram, a second hand by the way. I inserted my 4 year old ssd and nvme and it works fine. I played different kind of games and it work with a little optimizations

      Which generation is the intel processor?
      And if its i5 8th, does it lags on multiple tabs at 8gb RAM?

    • @daryldaryll3153

      Maybe around 10 or a little bit more before it lags in chrome, im not sure since i am using edge as my browser. if i am playing LoL i could only open up to 4 tabs together with discord since LoL would freeze after a while.

      @@daryldaryll3153 Thanks for sharing.
      Do you have a 8GB or 16GB version of G4?

      For ram, i added two more sticks of 8gigs of ram and now i can open multiple tabs in edge. I also can now let steam, discord, and ld player run in background simultaneously. It might be better if i have a better cpu processor.

    1. Has anyone installed Ubuntu/Linux on it? If yes, which version is most stable on this PC?
    2. Is 8 GB RAM running lag-free? How many multi-tasks is it allowing? How many Tabs are you able to open on Chrome?

    Hey thanks for the video!
    Question: For my homelab, I could run proxmox off this and also run plex on this. Then use this transcoding and store everything on a nas?

    • @BarmineTech
      @BarmineTech  Месяц назад

      yes depending on the processor of course will depend on transcoding

    Hi. My PC has broken and I pretend to buy a cheap one while the other is repairing and I saw that HP EliteDesk for an accessible price but it is i5 and 8 GB Ram. I'm used to working with PCs no less than 16 GB and I'm afraid it is slow because I work with many applications at the same time. My question is if it is possible to upgrade memory?

    • @BarmineTech
      @BarmineTech  3 месяца назад

      yes the memory is upgradable

    Not sure the link to the rack mounting kit came though. Didn’t see it pop up in the video or in the description. Would you mind?

    What adapter did you use?

      @@BarmineTech The BIOS and OS (win10, linux) does not recognize the m.2 nvme on either of the slots on my mini. Also upgrade BIOS to 02.27.00. Not sure why...Any suggestion? Thanks
