As a car, don’t cut ur springs please. Save up for another month and get those MAXPEEDING rods, so u don’t go flying into a ditch cause u went 20 around a corner
My si is on cut springs and it’s literally fine if you take your time and measure things so that you cut them evenly, doesnt shake or ride that rough at all and i can throw it in corners all day long lmao
Please don't actually get those. Quality coilovers come in right around or just under 1k that won't snap in half (yes we've seen it) . Lowering springs and upgraded struts are the move if you're really on a budget or don't want as stiff of a ride as coils. If you guys want we can put some coilovers though their paces to show you that you get what you pay for more often than not
@@vic2982. if you get a quick release and you don’t have a proper seat and harness you’ll hit your head on the steering wheel if you crash which would easily kill you due to the lack of air bags.
7:20 as far as steering wheels.. a lot of people buy the $40-50 eBay wheels with the SWEET JDM wakaba leaf horn button that come with a quick release and then the $12 hub to fit their car.. however there are some cheap priced alternatives if you can't afford an NRG or Nardi, DnD is one of those companies that actually have some pretty reasonably priced wheels, hubs, quick releases, and other interior bits.. just do some research like Alex said. Be safe and be smart out there guys! And take pride in your ride and the parts you put in it
Wow I can agree with someone in the car community for once.. do it right and anything excessive is stupid.. bruh.. definitely keeping my interior intact now.
Worst car mod I've done is tint. For the first time building a car and taking care of my daily, tint was the the first thing I did. I think I did a decent job all things considered but with tint or wraps, it's best to leave it to pros.👍
worst mod: stancing to the point your car scrapes on a leaf. As cool as low cars look, make your wheels sit at a huge angle is ugly and destroys your car. I legitimately do not find people that do excessive camber (a reasonable amount is fine) to be actual car people, cause if you loved cars, you wouldn’t be literally destroying them, would you?
I look at cars the same way I do with tattoos. Its going to be with you for life and you will get what you pay for. If its cheap its low quality(more money to fix over time), if its expensive youre getting quality that lasts.
Dang I feel attacked about the harness part. Though, I agree things annoying for daily use and makes looking around harder. So I only run them at the track now.
I bought an ef sedan that was like that last year. It was so loud on the freeway, I actually got hearing damage. The only cool thing was hearing the backfire all the time
Key point here is> Do a huge amount of research BEFORE you do like anything. If you have done your research and have basic skills. You can do most work yourself. Instruction videos do go a really long way.
@@DaytonaRoadster online "where everything is true and everyone is an expert" people have been successful going FI on a stock block I took my chances knowing I planned to do a rebuild next year. 🤣🤣 friend : What kind of tires you have ? Owner : Oh I got Michelin's🤥 Friend : 👀those ain't Michelin's bro Owner: Yeah they Mucho macho's 🤫 but I keep them clean
Roll cages, quick releases, and harnesses are dangerous. You REALLY need to have all 3 to make any of them safe, and even then they aren't as safe as standard equipment for regular use, as they are designed for having a helmet
Okay sound system wiring is "easy" but it can be dangerous. Having a wire from your battery that's always on you need to make sure nothing rubs on it or you'll start a fire.. inline fuse good god inline fuse it. But I would suggest a actual circuit breaker. That can be flicked off and on
somewhere sandwiched deep in between all the endless rambling and shameless plugs of every Fitment Industries video there is about 3 minute video that's actually worth watching
I used to have Future shop install my audio system and then saw the crap work they did and went thru and shortened wires (so there was not 10 feet wrapped up behind the dash) and soldered instead of crimp connections. Basically make sure any modifications are done right and do it SOLELY for yourself and enjoy it. If you like it and others do not that is perfectly fine and is what makes modifying the car your way makes it enjoyable and really your car
I would not put solder over crimp, if you put a soldered wire in a terminal, if theres a lot of current through it it can melt the solder and slip the wire out. Cant happen with a proper crimp connection
Soldering is superior to a cheap crimp connector and it would take an insane amount of heat (which would blow the small fuse) to melt the solder like that. Also if you tie the wires together before adding the solder as well as heat shrink it will not come undone easily
I see so many losers and actual buffoons floor mount their harnesses and it just makes me laugh because I know they’re losing brain cells every time their car compresses or they go over a bump. Every time your spine just gets a little more crunched up😂
My worst mod was a performance "turbo" back exhaust for my Toyota. Absolutely no gain in power just a lot of noise. Oh people thought it was way faster though, including cops would pull me for going 20 miles an hour in the school zone because they thought I was doing 60. ... So loud.
An unpainted body kit. Terrible. Like just the front bumper? Or getting rid of interior because you want to loose weight, and the car isnt even that fast. Stickers, too many stickersssss. People still cut springs? And people still run stock shocks on a lowered car? I agree with Alex, a harness on regular seats is tacky as hell.
I have underglow on my summer ride. They are encased in silicon and the they have an aluminum casing. Very bright and looks amazing. I like the Bluetooth functionality also. I have interior led’s also and led in my grill and air intakes on lower bumper. I also swapped all of my OEM map lights door lights etc with dark blue leds.
The only kind of mods I want to do on my car are the mods that there is little information about. Absolutely nothing is out there for adjusting steering feedback.
Caster settings, steering wheel size, and rack pressure all contribute to steering feel; as does tire choice, camber settings, toe in/out, etc. There’s plenty of info out there; you just ain’t gonna get it here, or in some corny Facebook group
I’m trying to find someone to cage my truck so I can run 4 link long travel king shocks suspension on it I have the rear shocks I don’t know what to get for the front I want to stick with king but the main problem is I can’t find anyone to weld a solid safe roll cage I just don’t have the time to do it my self and I don’t know what I’m doing
I actually took some mental notes watching this video Alex because within a year when I buy my dream car and then try to actually build it, I want to make sure I buy the right parts from reliable brands. Better yet if I absolutely need to buy used, I will literally do my research first before I jump the gun.
