That shit was funny- I was backstage at the Saratoga show and imho that was an amazing Lollapalooza. The Beastie Boy family were pissed that SP were the Headliners. Nick is a cool guy and so is Billy… why can't we all get along. That is a very fucked up interview and Billy seemed pretty nervous : ) They are musicians/artists not Barbara Walters or Bill Moyer interviews. L7 was the rawest band in the line-up in my opinion. That show had so many great bands and I got a shitload of pictures with a real camera- Film! The L7 mosh pit was an awesome Blur of energy. I loved the entire experience it was a lot of Fun with great music!

I don't think Billy was doing anything wrong really. Nick Cave was being grumpy and defensive. He made a mistake not because he's dumb just because people make mistakes. Billy isn't a "dumb American", he's actually really intelligent if you listen to his lyrics and watch other interviews with him. I don't know much about Nick Cave but I'm sure he's also a really intelligent guy, he was just a bit grumpy. But my point is that Billy wasn't being stupid during this interview. The block off Broadway, by the MTV Building, was oddly desolate and he looked at me from the distance, as if he knew that I knew who he was. I wasn't a fan at the time, so I said nothing. He peered into my eyes as he approached and even clipped my shoulder with his, as we crossed, while keeping the odd stare. You're right, he's not a pussy. A tad stern with an offbeat sense of humor, if anything.
