I think Zeke is actually short for Ezekiel since he has the biblical beard but it might be a Muppet based nickname, who knows for sure haha.

Oh also I thought he went to Ana Lucia to start an army because she has experience killing them from the other side of the island, but they already have Sayid who is the best strategist!

Zeke was a member of the group "Lubbock Lou and His Jughuggers" on the Muppet Show. Sawyer must have watched that show when he was little. Zeke was a banjo player with a beard and shaggy hair. Like that Other.
Wait! You never kiss your wife on the mouth?😉

Sawyer : I give everyone I've ever met on the show a nickname
Sawyer : "you and me ain't done, Zeke"
Vox : "wait, how did he know his name?"
Spoiler alert - not his real name lol

I always think the same thing when Jack asks about training an army. Why ask a cop??? You ask her how to hide in the bushes and write the Others tickets. Asking Sayid and/or Jin would make more sense but like you said, they probably wouldn’t know either. I’m retired AF and I wouldn’t have the first clue about training an Air Force lol.
FWIW, I have no problem reading the backwards subtitles. You could probably save yourself the time putting those in.

@@astragalusson Jin is Korean. Mandatory military service…and the ROK Army is MUCH more professional than the Iraqi Army was back in the 90s.

Love this one. For me this is the start of a solid run of episodes to the finale with only (in my opinion) two stinkers mixed in. You could tell this was the moment they honed in on the season two endgame.
Oh and of those two stinkers, one still has important info in it despite me not liking the plot.
