Eko’s back story is so wild! He’s def one of the most multifaceted characters from the Tailies.
Even on my first watch, I remember still feeling empathy for Charlie in that situation; I can see why Claire is hesitant to have him around, but he doesn’t seem to have been using since he burned his first stash. I can imagine it would be hard to just ignore a new temptation completely when he is still recovering… I do believe that having the statues around would feel like comfort to him, though of course probably not a great idea for his healing process.

50/50 on figuring things out. Plotlines of episodes, or motivations of certain characters may be easy to figure out. However, the specifics of why what is happening is happening, or what will happen next? You have no chance. Love your reactions, if you enjoy this show "From" is also great, in which Michael from this show is a main character.

Either way, it sounds like you're enjoying the fun of editing.

Claire has every right to be upset in my opinion. She can't be sure if there's more or if he used behind her back. When she asked him about it, he lied.

Interesting observation about the GoT connection, who knows? Maybe they were inspired! Semi-related, the "Hold the Door" episode of GoT was directed by Jack Bender, one of Lost's best and frequent directors (Directs the season finales, some other big eps throughout the series, etc), and now that you've been watching Lost for a bit, you probably can even now admit that "Hold the Door" has some those Lost-like vibes, flashback storytelling, etc!

Hadn't thought about that - maybe that's why D&D asked Jack to direct that specific episode? I think he only directed two GOT episodes - 6.5 and 6.6

Claire's psychic told her that she would be the one to bring a good influence to Aaron. She must have thought that a liar and a drug addict was not a good influence. If the psychic knew about the crash, he must have known about her good influence on Aaron. So, bye Charlie.

Claire is a super overdramatic character.

Charlie told Claire he kept the 1 statue around because it helped him feel safe. Then we see at the end that he has way more than 1 stashed away. No thoughts or comments on that? lol

Sure he lied but from Claire's knowledge on the situation, she doesn't know that, and she could be more supportive of his battle with addiction

@@akkimessiah3219 Claire being a protective Mom - I don't think it's a stretch of a reaction for her to be upset about being lied to by an admitted druggie TBF.

@@Weinzierl1973 personally I hate lying more than anything so I'd react the same. But I can understand why some people think she's overreacting

The show is very difficult to figure out.
There is 0% chance you will figure out what is truly happening on this island by the end of the show.
