  • Lake Simcoe Ice Report January 29, 2021
Today off Big Bay Point we got our first ice measurement of the year, unfortunately, the ice was thin and it will not be thick enough to fish on this weekend. At the spots tested close to shoar we had less than 4" of ice with o 3-inch layer of snow/slush insulating it. Be safe

Keep going with your videos. It is not easy to get subscribers, but this year so many people are going to be glued to the computer that let's hope it's going to be easier. We were not very active in the past few years, it is time to pick up the space. Tight lines.

Thanxsomuch for the report, and well said that it ain't safe to icefish in most areas of Simcoe. I've been reporting Kempenfelt bay Downtown area and it's not good yet. Gotta give it more time...🥶🎣🇨🇦

@@fivefishlimit1034 its nearly safe for dressed sportsman, but today January 30 people whom were barely dressed and with kids to boot were on the bay walking around like it was a paved parking lot. Without a care they endangered themselves and there kids walking without checking or even knowing if it was safe.
But luckily today, it might have been walkable, but only if your spuding your way. You know what? I gotta say it, those so called parents are not good Protectors of their children.
      TIGHT LINES AND B-SAFE 🥶🎣🇨🇦

    That looks a little scary.
Too thin for my liking. It’s the same way up at the north end in spots.

@@OutdoorsygalO If it's walking distance, Daisy and I are in. When it is far out and we need a sled, then she has to stay home.

@@meMiner ~ Hi again! The scary part is that walking all that way, and you sweat. Then you get out there and freeze.
The place I was talking about is so heavily pressured and there is lots of noise. Not our scene.
We are going to wait a bit yet, then drive out.
      Soon....... 😉
