Hey guys, in this video, I'm sharing my thoughts on the Wurkkos TS11 (SFT40) after using it for a week. I'll be discussing its size, practicality, and some interesting features that I discovered during my usage.
Overall, the Wurkkos TS11 is a unique and powerful TIR thrower with some great features. I love the new orange coating and the AUX lights that come with it. You can use the AUX light for reading maps or doing other tasks that require a little bit of light. Plus, the option to swap out the battery tube for a 18650 one gives you extra runtime and brightness. I used the tube from my FC11!

Wurkkos TS11 (SFT40)
General thoughts after a week of usage/size comparison/practicality/interesting things:
• This is a unique TIR thrower that rivals the Sofirn IF22A. If you program it to step down at 60 degrees Celsius, it will stay within 80-100% output for about 6 minutes - that's seriously impressive for such a little light. I'd recommend getting the extension tube though as it gets too hot to hold after a while. Easily pocketable but looks a little awkward as the head is larger than the body.
Overall Construction, LED, lens, bezel, and reflector
• Shiny, smooth anodizing. Not much to grip on, apart from the basic knurling on the body. It feels very light, yet solid. The SFT40 is housed in a TIR lens with protective AR glass. Smooth bezel, nothing out of the ordinary.
• I managed to unscrew the head, though it appeared to be glued on. I don't recommend opening it up if you don't want to void the warranty. Could be room for a YIDING 5050 mod?
• Onboard USB-C charging. Also comes with a 18350 cell. Can use a 18650 extension tube from many other Sofirn/Wurkkos lights and it works with a 18650.
• Comparison with other lights
UI - mode
• Anduril 2! Brief demonstration.
• Aux colors and modes.
Performance - total output, beam profile, longevity, practicality
• Rated at 2000 lumens. Strong, broad hotspot, with plenty of spill on high/turbo.
Considerations
• Low aux mode is too low! Can barely see it in the dark.
• Anduril - may not be everyone's preference.
• Not much spill on lower modes
Verdict
A unique TIR thrower flashlight from Wurkkos - bright and powerful for its size. The new orange coating is a refreshing change, and I also like that it has AUX lights in the head as well as the switch. This means you can use the AUX light for reading maps, and general tasks that require a lumen or so of light. I also like that you can swap out the battery tube for a 18650 one and get extra run time/brightness. I've just used the tube from my FC11. - Наука

Hi Darren, i'd enjoy your Review even I already own the ts11. Note, for auxilary lights settings, just keep holding the button after the 7 clicks.. it will cycle endless through all colors. Just release the button on the color you like.
Hi Adriano, thank you for the tip, that saves a heap of time!
Imo this is the ultimate budget thrower, nothing competes with its price and feature set together. The tir optic is sort of the best and worst thing about it, it gives it amazing throw for the size but the compromised spill/flood is what made me stop carrying it daily. It does have some diffused spill at higher levels but I was still carrying a second flashlight when I would carry my ts11. Still can’t complain though, a ts11 and ts25 will cover most needs and together they are less than half the price of the light I got to replace these as my edc (emisar dt8k with w2 emitters) which I paid around $120 for.
Hi Thomas, it's a great little thrower and also produces more light than my Speras M4. Only issue is that minimal spill that you can see on the higher modes but it's still beats the spill from an LEP light :D
I bought this a couple of weeks ago, and it has become my new favourite flashlight! It throws VERY good and the UI (Andúril 2.0) is the best I've ever tried! 🙂 I'm very happy with this light!
Quite a good deal for a TIR thrower and has better sustained output than the IF22a. But of course IF22a has that higher capacity 21700! Thank you mate.
This was a wonderful and refreshing review!!
Thank you so much!
Dang it I already bought 2 flashlights this month. U made me buy another one. Great review.
Haha, I would apologise but I'm sure you'll love this light! I use it with an 18650 extension tube and Samsung 30Q for extra brightness.
Just got one in orange today. Cant wait to try it out when i get home tonight.
Great little thrower :D
@@DarrenYeoYT just got the 18650 tube today 💪😎
@@raymondborkowski4290nice it's brighter with a good 18650 like the Samsung 30q
Got my orange TS11 with the 18650 extension tube somewhat recently. Seems like everyone got it in orange! I can see why, because it's brilliant. Hopefully the ano doesn't scratch off very easily. Also love the aux RGB button for that extra bling. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Patrick, in my experience, the ano is similar to the Sofirn range - it does the job but when I have the lights rattling around in my bag, I do notice some scratches on the edges of areas like the bezel, tailcap... anywhere sharp. More of a cosmetic thing though and I don't baby my lights!
very good review and video. i have two one black and one orange. Its a fantastic light with all
the colours (Andúril 2.0) And its throws fantasic well. i am very pleased.
Thank you mate, yeah it's an excellent thrower for the price! I just swapped in the 18650 battery tube so I could get extra runtime/performance from a Samsung 30Q
The TS11 is an impressive little thrower. Darren, i'm glad the rain stopped long enough to enable you to finish up beam shot video without getting drenched.😊
Hey Gus, yep I ended up sitting at a nearby bus stop to let the rain pass as I was completely drenched already haha. Ah well, I'll bring a raincoat or something next time :D
Hi there, great content. Just a suggestion for later single review (not comparison) videos. Maybe for the review you could comment about the included factory battery (if any) and for the beamshot test, use high drain batteries to standardize all beamshot tests. I say this because most if not all factory batteries cannot provide the amps to fully max out the flashlight capabilities especially for high power and unregulated flashlights.
I've read a post in r/flashlight about how bad the included TS11 18350 was compared to a Vapcell / Keeppower 18350 10A and how much difference it made for the light produced. The sofirn/wurkkos 18650/21700 is still ok but the 18350 was abysmal.
From the post :
IF22A
8A - P42A
7.3A - Included Sofirn 5000mah 21700
TS11
9.74A - P26A
7.7A - Keeppower 10A 18350
4.98A - included Wurkkos 18350
and he said the TS11 is "stronger" than IF22A. I guess that he meant that it has a brighter hotspot. If so, it matches another vid review about TS11 having a bit smaller but brighter hotspot (possibly higher throw distance) compared IF22A.
It seems that a TS11 even with a small 18350 high performance battery can match or almost match an IF22A with a much bigger high performance 21700, plus the TS11 runs brighter for longer.
It is just some info and a few suggestion for improvement. I really do appreciate and admire the hard work you put in your content. Thanks bro!
Hi there mate, thank you for sharing and yes I'll mention more about the battery used next time. I only had the included 18350 Wurkkos provided and it was still powerful enough to keep up with the IF22A. Those are big differences between all the 18350 cells! Appreciate your feedback man.
Thanks for the video, you think this would be worthwhile if I already have the FC13? Or does it throw significantly farther?
The TS11 throws way further than the FC13, beam is different too - more focussed in the centre, not much spill. It's worth buying if you want a budget thrower.
@@DarrenYeoYT I’ll have to grab one then aha thanks again for the videos 👌
@@ytr4 all good my friend :)
How do you turn aux bright? Mine are dim and press 7 only changes color
Press 7 times but hold on the 7th press.
@@DarrenYeoYT Thanks!!
Does the "Wurkkos ts11" flashlight also work with the 16340 battery ?
No, it's too short unfortunately
hey mate appreciate the extended beamshot test. Can i ask where you buy the high power samsung batts from, idk any stores near me or in the cbd
All good buddy! Ok I order mine from here: www.tinkertechau.com.au/
@@DarrenYeoYT thankyou
Favorite light for throw?
There's so many man. For EDC I prefer ones with a same diameter bezel as the body. Something like the MH12SE/Pro, Convoy S8.
@@DarrenYeoYT I can see you like that MH12SE by how often you mention it! I just got the warrior 3s, recommended by my brother but I haven’t opened it yet. I like my Wurkkos F11 but I want more throw!! 😂
@@DarrenYeoYT If the S8 is that good for $20 I’ll send the warrior back! We got a Warrior 3s for my father in law and there seems to be a little bit of a learning curve. I like throw and I like simple.
S8 is good but there's no on board charging :D the warrior 3s is a different beast but it also imposes a few restrictions that I don't like - proprietary charging, battery @@ROOSTER-ql5fs
I love it ...i bought it...and install tube 18650.....it is perfect and orange color is top !
Bye 👍
Hey there, yes that 18650 tube + good high draw battery is probably the best configuration for performance :D thank you
@@DarrenYeoYT i put battery 18650 klarus 2600mah in ts11
nice one brotha
Thank you my friend
i love this light looks so cool
Better with the 18650 tube, as I can't seem to get full brightness with the 18350 cells I own
@@DarrenYeoYT yeah thats why i had to buy the 18650 tube for this light lol
yo darren how much of an issue do you think the cheap driver would make in real life use?
I'm not in a hurry for a thrower, could wait a few years for better quality brands to adopt anduril
Hey mate, nope it's great for everyday use even with the cheaper driver. Budget lights have improved drastically since the only 'trustfire' etc models. This one probably has a FET driver. Wurkkos also have a warranty too on their lights, unsure what it is, maybe a year or two. One guy had an issue with his TS11 not being able to access higher modes since he dropped it. But other than that, I haven't heard of anyone with similar issues.
Mine arrived about a week ago and functioned correctly until about 2 days ago, then it started having problems.
I uploaded a video describing the issues:
ruclips.net/video/7uH09g5DH8Q/видео.html
Hey John thank you for sharing, I wonder if there's an issue with the driver? Maybe not enough current to the emitter. Did you contact Wurkkos? There's a warranty so be interested to see if they follow through.
@@DarrenYeoYT I have.
I forgot to mention that my 2-yr-old dropped the TS11 on a hardwood floor.
Obviously, being 2, he’s not very tall, so it only got dropped from 1-2 feet. I didn’t think it hit very hard, but after inspecting the light, the TIR lens is chipped.
So that could have knocked something loose.
@@DarrenYeoYT After a comment from another member on r/Flashlight, what I thought was a chip in the TIR lens from being dropped is, in fact, an artifact from manufacturing.
Confirmed by someone else checking their lens. If you look at yours, you should see it also - near the edge.
So, back to the drawing board. I find it hard to believe that a small drop like that could cause this.
U rage bait a lot….
Yeah?
