@@repairs101 I have tried it with different types of ropes while some work ok. Most doesn't and it's very easy to get the loop to fall through. There are so many other types off knots there are just as fast. And more secure

Didn't you mean to say you "can" untie your boat w/o being on the dock? Also seems like you can untie-proof this knot by just passing the tail back through the loop and then either half hitch it once or twice or pull the loop tite and put a stop knot on the end passed through it, or maybe just make the loop long enough to half hitch around the loaded line maybe.

Pull hard on the main line and that knot will quick release by pulling that bite right thru.
