I am so excited to share this video! This video is packed with cleaning motivation, closet decluttering, closet organizing, and so much more! In today’s video, I tackle our sitting room, which we call our coffee room, and our coffee closet! Our coffee closet is basically a coffee nook that we have made in a closet! The room and closet needed some SERIOUS cleaning and organizing! Thank you so much for being here today while I clean! Love Y’all!

Hi Friends! Thanks for joining me! This has been quite a week! We have had a lot of sickness going on in our family! Hopefully everybody is on the mend now! I am so glad I was able to get into our coffee room and coffee closet and get it back in order! I know not everybody puts a coffee nook in a closet, but I hope this video gives you motivation to tackle a closet that you might have that might need a little bit of TLC!
....You know, Miss Dede... I almost wrote you an Email yesterday... to inquire if you or Family members were feeling under the Weather.. my Intuition was nudging me that you - or someone- was not feeling well.
So I'm glad to see you are doing okay and I will say some extra Prayers for everyone.

Hi DeDe, I love that you guys have a coffee closet and coffee room. I think it’s such a smart and cool use of that space. I’m so guilty of over organizing stuff too, my friend! I put stuff into smaller containers and bins only to put them into another container.🙄 I have more coffee cups and tumblers than 2 people need even if we would need them for company. You are my people.😜😜😜😜😜 I love how simple and how much lighter the closet feels. I am an ice coffee drinker so I just make one large tumbler! I’m anxious to see where you plan to use those brown bins. I love those! Great job and you always make me happy, even if you aren’t Starbucks!🥰🥰🥰
Hey there, Jennifer! Oh, my goodness the more we share the more I feel like we are kindred spirits! You make my craziness feel normal!🤣🤣🤣🤣 You are my people as well! I might need a few details from you! I have been seeing so many people drink iced coffee! It looks so delicious and they even put a little froth on top! do you buy yours, or do you brew it yourself? Inquiring minds want to know! 🧐
@@MyBigTidyUp - I have done both! I have bought several brands of cold brew and added my own creamer and sweetener. Then I’ve bought brands like International Delight in a carton that are ready to drink. The problem is that they are too sweet. I’m currently brewing my own coffee and putting it in a mason jar and keeping in the fridge. This is so much more cost effective and I can change up the ice coffee as I want. Sometimes I mix the cold brew with a vanilla protein shake. Sometimes I just add almond milk and coffee creamer. Other times, I’ll really jazz it up by pretending I work at Starbucks and add cold foam - using my little hand held frother and caramel drizzle. Sometimes I like it super strong and others not so I really enjoy seeing all the new iced coffee drinks that are out and I just try to do that at home and make it lower carb and healthier! I’ve even brewed a K cup and made it from just that one cup. I enjoy customizing it to my liking. You should give it a try!😄
We do a big pot (12cups). Ours asked to be descaled sometimes. My bf is more a coffee drinker. I didnt drink til i met him. He does flavored whole bean to ground. Made me a little of a coffee snob. Lol. I cant drink regular no flavor.
It was cute and organized before but I much prefer the new simple, streamlined look! I think I’ll make an upstairs coffee station!

I'm the only one who drinks coffee so I make a pot. I would love a Keurig but to expensive.
I think they are pricey, too! we got ours as a gift, I would’ve had a hard time buying it if I had to pay for it myself!
Haha!! How do coffee grounds get into the refrigerator? It's like the question, how do bread crumbs always get in the silverware drawer, especially since the toaster is on the opposite side?!?! And I noticed even your coffee machine was telling you it was time to clean it!!' I'm glad my house doesn't tell me that all the time!! 😂😂Good job pairing down and decluttering!!

Good morning DeDe. I love the coffee room. It seems to be perfect for you guys. No matter how much we clean, dust us dust and we can’t seem to keep up with it. I’ve had people say to me, why do you clean a clean house? I always tell them, I’m not cleaning, I’m maintaining my clean home. And that’s the truth. As far as us for coffee, we love our morning coffee and we use only the keurig one cup. It works for us. I get up way earlier than my husband so I make my coffee and head to work and when he gets up he makes his. It works for us. Thank you for inviting us into your home every week. I look forward to Saturdays with you. Now I must go “maintain” 16:37 my clean home. We have a busy day today. The boys are back from vacation and Grayson has a t-ball game we want to get to. Also need to run some errands after that. Have a great weekend. See you next week. 😘
Yes, it is definitely about maintaining! I think sometimes people see my home, and I usually do keep it “picked up” but being picked up and always being clean are two different things. I try to establish cleaning routines so things don’t get way out of hand. Obviously, I need to work on my coffee closet “maintaining/cleaning routine”🤣🤣 I am glad that your little fellas are back! Sounds like you have a fun weekend in store! Our little fellas have battled sickness all week long, along with their parents. It’s just been terrible. Hopefully next week will be better for them and I hope my husband and I escape it! 🙏🏼🤞🏼

DeeDee, I love that coffee closet! So cute. I love me some coffee!!! However my husband doesn't drink coffee so I make coffee from my Keurig, single individualized cup of Joe!!!! Hmmmmmm! I love the smell of coffee brewing. Great job on cleaning and organizing the coffee closet!!! Here's to you 🍻
Thank you, Karen! I love the smell of coffee too! I have a dear friend of mine, who does not like coffee at all. She has tried it with cream, with sugar with all sorts of combinations, and she just doesn’t like it. However, she loves the smell of it! Love that you figure out what works and what doesn't work. Then take care of it based on that.💖 I live alone and I make a half pot in the morning. I actually don't really like K cups . I think for the most part, the coffee is bitter, there is sludge in the bottom of the coffee cup, and it is such a wasteful thing for our environment.
Hi Ann! It definitely is trial and error. If it doesn’t work one way, I usually try to figure out something else. You make a very good point about the K cups and the environment. I actually think that it tastes better made in a pot as well. Thank you for being here! 🤗
My husband is the coffee drinker and his mugs are huge, so pods don't usually make the right strength without doing two pods/cups. So he makes a 6 cup pot at a time.
Hi Lisa! I just think it tastes better out of a pot, so that’s what we almost always do! I have the same problem when I use my bigger tumblers, one cup out of the Keurig doesn’t get it done. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. I appreciate you being here.🤗

The coffee closet looks better now without all the extras! Do you actually use the paper cups since you have 6 other ones?
We do use them, but not as much as we used to. When I traveled for work and my husband traveled as well, we would take a disposable cup because it made it so much easier. Now that we are more home-based, we don’t use them as often, but we still do use them. The supply we have will last us, I’m sure for a year! Thanks for watching friend and my prayers continue. 🤍

I make and drink a full pot everyday.
I get in spurts where I will drink almost a whole pot by myself. Usually I drink 2 cups a day. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to let me know you’re here!

What a great job you've done! One of my goals is to have more "breathing room" in my home. Just because there is wall or floor or flat surface space doesn't mean I have to fill it with something. After the incredible decluttering job you've done, your coffee room sure has much more "breathing room"! Personally, I am glad you chose to remove the curtains. They were a cute touch and can make the space look more homey but it's nice to have a more open feel, too. Kudos on another job well done. Looking forward to next week's episode already!
