The boiled egg in goblet gravey comes from killing an old hen chicken for stewing there was always 1 or 2 eggs left in her that wasn't laid yet. They were just like boiled eggs.

I was making an organic chicken from Wegmans. It had the giblets in it and the gravy just turned out amazing thank you, and thank you for not putting a bunch of garbage ingredients that you would have to go out and not have in your refrigerator again your recipe is awesome
Respectfully, Everyone has their family culinary traditions regarding giblet gravy. I'm sure if you search you can find a different giblet gravy recipe that you find is more what you would consider "accurate" or acceptable. Just no reason to make a snide comment regarding this family's version.
