    Uriah Heep has a heap of great songs. "Gypsy" is a great one, with crazy organ work. And on the more heavy side is "Look At Yourself. For an epic song you could choose "July Morning". A very diversed band. Greatly regarded in the early seventies and much to underrated today.

    This is a great song! I loved this band growing up in Australia in the 70's. I tend to comment where Gillybean comments and I just end up feeling sad that bands like this weren't dominating the Aussie charts because Gilllybean and her Countdown mates were pushing daisies like Plastic Bertrand up .. the charts. Good song! Great song! Love this stuff!

    These guys put oot a guid seven or eight lps between '70 and '73. I got to see them a few years ago and really enjoyed it.
    Back in those days the video effects and transitions were pretty cheesy.

      @@hanierfamily I refer to stuff like that including the Bluscreen they had at the time as "Cheesy Wipes" and I had to use a few back in the day.

    Sadly Mick Box, the sitting guitar player is the last remaining original member still living. Its his band, and they're still recording and touring. Although not so much in this song, he's a killer guitar player. Listen to Tears In My Eyes or Look At Yourself. Bangers !

    This is great 👍.
    I wonder if John Bon-Jovi snd Ritchie Sanbora had been listening to this when they wrote, Wanted.

    David Byron had a killer voice. RIP. Guitarist Mick Box are still playing in Uriah Heep. Byron, Ken Hensley acoustic guitar/keyboards, Gary Thain bass and drummer Lee Kerslake are all gone

    Great Reaction to a really great song. If you haven't done Black Sabbath's "The Wizard", you should give it some thought.

    i think the best thing lemmy ever did was when he sung Silver machine with Hawkwind.Just a personal preference.I did see Motorhead live in 2006 and they were LOUD

    • @SPKdesign1
      @SPKdesign1 Год назад +3

      It wasn't their best track though, even with Leemy on vocals.

      @@SPKdesign1 Yes Hawkwind had some classics i just remember that Silver machine was a favourite of ours at school and never made number one(got to Number 2) kept out by Schools out Alice Cooper!

      @@GP-mw8ce "Motorhead" and "Urban Guerilla" are both great. "Urban Guerilla" had didn't get a lot of play at the time as the IRA had an active mainland campaign on at the time.
      Oddly enough, Primal Scream covered both of those tracks.
