Obviously Tua has no love for Flores and his feelings seem to be genuine. I agree with Dan. I don't think Tua was actually calling Flores a terrible person but using a hypothetical to explain his feelings. Remember Tua said other players on the team during that time with Flores who are on the team now feel the same way. Why are we listening to David Samson anyway?
Dude, all, but called the man a terrible person!! Lol it made it seem like Brian Florez had a personal issue with him and Brian Florez didn’t even apologize to the man. All he said was is that he should’ve done some things differently. OK what exactly did you do that you’ve changed?
Then Tua and Le Batard are just as bad as they claim Flores to be. You don't go around... loosely throwing "hypotheticals" around, claiming somebody is evil personified. And now Tua is sticking his sorry ass in the news again today, not letting this BS die. Just sorry.

We are not talking about a 'hard' coach, we are talking about a person that abused someone mentally. Telling someone, this needs to be fixed, you need to do this better is one thing. To tell a person you suck on a regular basis and you should not be here is something else entirely. Even if the coach did not like Tua, it was not Tua that put him on the team, it was the owner. So as a coach you work with what you have. Educate the qb on what needs to be fixed and win games. Tua was thrown into a situation where he physically still needed to get back into football playing shape after a devastating injury. His O-line was garbage and his WRs were not the best. His most reliable WR was a TE. What I think should have happened was that Fitzpatrick be allowed to finish the season, let Tua learn and if the Phins were not going to make the playoffs, give him some game time at the end of the season. It was boneheaded allowing him to play so early after an injury.
I mean...He was coached by Nick Saban. I don't think he's that soft.

David Samson had me until he said what Tua said was a distraction!! lol listen Brian Florez didn’t apologize to the man all he said was is that he could’ve done some things differently that’s all that’s not taking ownership. Taking ownership with me he would have to admit to what he did was wrong and say that he’s sorry, but he’s not gonna say that because that is completely guilt and that would ruin his lawsuit that people seem to have forgotten about.
This was not breaking news. It was a big part of why he was fired. It was known around the league by players, coaxhes and execs. Fitzpatrick talked about it to the media back in Sept of 2022:
"Several times on a Zoom call with Miami media members, Fitzpatrick cited what he believes to be the positive impact of new coach Mike McDaniel's approach with Tagovailoa in contrast to former coach Brian Flores.
"(McDaniel's) all about preaching confidence to a guy and building him up, rather than trying to break him down," Fitzpatrick said. "And I think that's translated well, so far to the field."
I'm no fan of Flores but he was just doing what Belicek did with Brady. The Belicek tree is rancid why no heat for Belicek and Josh McDaniels
McDaniels gets plenty of heat although it feels more like people just see him as a clown and bill won super bowls and winning cures all

Flores looked like a fool that hasn’t learned his lessons from his failures in Miami, mainly his pride and ego.

Then he started to apologize but never actually apologized. Instead he talked about himself and some bs about creating a better world.
Flores could start by being a man and taking responsibility for his actions. Then apologize for them.
Samson is all business....and you should all be paying attention. He has told an unknown truth in life. When layoffs occur, no matter at what level, there is a level of stoicism that is presented that is at minimum distasteful and at some level angering. The business owes you nothing. As for Flores, he never wanted Tua and chose to show him. See how that worked out for Jeff Fisher with Vince, Bradford and Goff.
Tua is the young person in the workplace who sets a tone on by notifying HR for being bullied over a minor incident. Then management won't touch them with a 10 foot pole. Interesting that the older people in the panel reacted differently than the younger ones. It was a lame, passive aggressive move. How do we know Tua is a decent person? He could be the bigger a*shole, just not a hot head. The new NFL.

People don’t understand that Flores tried to make Tua fail. He didn’t do anything to help out the offense.
Stop with the win a playoff game crap. He's played in one. With a ton of starters injured, on the road, against the reigning and eventual repeat SB champs in weather so called 12 fans ended up having to have parts of their bodies amputated. He led the team to the playoffs for rhe first time since 2016 and to back to back playoffs since for the first time since 2000/01. Look, Dan Marino was 0-1 after his first playoff game. 8-10 for his career in playoffs. He was 7-8 for his career in cold weather games. 0-4 in cold weather playoff games.

Flores ain't perfect and he might not even be HC material, but let's not act like he's the first one to butt heads with QBs they didn't want. Also, Tua still has a lot to prove before we can say Flores was 100% wrong. Miami was hesitant to even pay the kid.
