Have you noticed the quintessential sunken cheeks in some denture-wearing seniors? That can be attributed to bone loss caused by wearing conventional dentures.
According to the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), the reverse is true for implants. They actually prevent loss on jawbone.
Check out this video and know what makes the former better. Know the pros and cons of the two and also compare them on the basis of cost.

I ended up going with dentures to start with for now and also had bone implants in my bottom gum to be able to support the snap on bars in the future, but I'm really happy with the dentures. The first few months I wasn't happy, but it's surprising how just one day you learn how to talk clearly and forget they're even there. It definitely took some practice, but now it just feels like normal daily routine. I can only have bottom implants if I decide in the future anyway because my sinus is too low. But, I think I'm overall thrilled with the outcome of the dentures. I don't even have to use glue. I had mine done at Aspen Dental. Very expensive, but they are excellent at what they do. And you have temporary dentures on the same day so you never go without anything during the whole 6 month recovery process for the permanent pair. The temporary ones were also high quality. The one thing that scares me about getting the implants for the bottom is sometimes for a lot of people, including myself, your bottom lip will get pinched and hurt and I can always give my mouth a break with the dentures. Maybe that wouldn't be a problem with the snap ons though@@heyitssumit6823

My decision was really easy......... all I had to do was say...... How much is that $$$$$$×$$$$$$$=$$$$$$. I think I'll be going with my dentures thankyou...... I think it's about 5 grand a tooth..... that's a little too much out of my budget unfortunately. For those who can afford it, I would go for I would go for that in a heartbeat. If anybody who's had multiple implants and reads this, please let me know how they are working out for you? My hope is that they'll be more affordable sooner than later... have a great day....... nor cal

@ Chris Schenk I’m about two weeks away from the final phase of my implant journey. As of now I’m just waiting on two crowns for my right bottom back 29 and 30 teeth.
The entire process has been a pain in the ass. Total cost has been $3,600 out of pocket for 1 extraction, two implants, and two crowns.
My dentist (Dr Ducoff) didn’t do oral surgeries, so he sent me to one of his friends. I asked how much the total cost was, and what his cost was, and I was told around $3,500 out of pocket total… With around $875 per crown going to him. Ouch, but… I’m young and didn’t want dentures.
I got through the extraction and implants, and then called his office to schedule the final crowns; however, for some reason the price went up to $1,750 per tooth… this would have put me at around $5,000 for the end-to-end process.
I was furious, so I went to another dentist - $1,800 per crown. Last attempt, I went to another and was quoted at $865 per crown. I gladly agreed, and now this nightmare is almost over.
My advice - Make sure everything is in writing, and try to find a dentist that’s a “one stop shop.”
My experience leads me to believe that dentists are, sadly, only out there to make money and don’t care much about their patients.
      Good Luck,
