Thank you so much; I have been following your channel for a time; and this video was especially helpful; 79 years old and ready to carry on to a new life.
Dr Sehmi, I just love you. I wish you were in the US and I wish we had more dentists here like you. You just have a beautiful spirit and I can see that you have a geniune concern for people, it's really sad that the dentists here don't have that. I'm 12,000 dollars in and my inplants failed and I'm looking to start over but I don't know if I will. Thanks for your videos they have helped me more than you know.
I had bone graft built upwards and sideways followed by implants 6 lower a d 6 upper followed by sinus lift. I am now waiting for this to fuse before getting teeth. I had it done in October 2020 I am totally healed within a month.
Can u help me I'. M going to clear choice for implants. But they told me. I have to travel 200 miles to have screws put up into my cheekbones. I was watching your videos and I see how much you love your work and I was wondering if you can help me?
Hello Dr. Sehmi, I am ready. I've been wearing an upper denture for about 10years now and am ready for Zygomatic implants. Is there some way I can contact you and have you perform this procedure for me? I'm in Northern California, but for you, I can travel anywhere, anytime. Thank you so much!!
Wow you are *amazing!* I love how *enthusiastic you are* about your work! This is all so *super interesting* to me, if I was younger I definitely would want to be part of a dental team, there are *too many callous* dentists, hygienists, & even assistants in the industry.... I would balance skill w/plenty of *empathy* which is very much needed in dentistry! .... Anyway keep up the good work & wish me luck, I go in this Monday to Woodbury Dental Arts in Mn to get an entirely new smile😉😁 I'm nervous as one can be, but I trust I'm in good hands. Thanks for all of your helpful information.
You don’t you get dentures like I will have the beginning of November. I worked with budget I had. Not the budget I wished I had. You should do that too.
How can I get and afford a full set of dental implants in the UK when I am quoted in excess of £24,000? However, in Turkey, I am quoted £9,750 and that includes hotel accommodation during my stay.
Hi Dr i took my mum who is 70 and lost all but 4 her teeth for a implant consultation and after xray she has been told that only zygoma implant is possible due to severe upper jaw bone loss. We are now contemplating having these done but i have read so many horror stories about severe sinusitus being caused even years after these type of implants and the complexity involved. Also because my mother is diabetic i am very worried about bone integration and in the event bone does not form properly around the implant what happens then do we lose outr money since we have been quoted in the region of 40k. The dontist is an implant specialist and also has a oral surgeon for the complex cases i do have faith in her but still i am so worried and so is my mother in going ahead with this.
I heard diabetics aren't good candidates for implants because of the slow healing process but that may not be the case for zygomatic implants, I'd definitely ask around
Having dentures is annoying but Having a Failure with zigo is a nightmare ..... You dont know ifnit is going to work or not for u ... I wouldnt take This risk specially for a diabetes condition
Hi thanks for the reply this was also our conclusion for my mother after I did more research we came to the conclusion that it's not worth the risk. But she can't even have normal dentures because of the level of bone loss in upper and lower jaw so not a good situation.
@@coolbian513 she didn't go for it at all lots of money and large risk of failure and possible long term sinus issues. I guess she will try to eat rice from now on. We eat rice a lot anyway.
Can you verify and help reassuring me if a local dentist who proposed this combination of implants treatment is qualified enough to do so in a safe manner? I’m referring to Union implantoligy Dr Adam Carter in Austin Texas. Much Appreciative
I am desperate for help with my zygomatic failing implants. I feel like I’m going to die. I cannot believe I’m a pain. I’m in and how little help there is. I need help so bad.
@@drgurssehmi I am located in KS. I have an absolute nightmare. I am so scared. I’m going to lose my life over this. I have numbness and tingling on the right side of my face so bad. I can’t go to the hospital because they say to go to the dentist and I can’t just go to the dentist because it’s requires reconstructive plastic surgery. The automatic implant is broken. I can feel my sinuses falling on the right side of my face. I’m literally scared for my life .
I was born with a major cleft palate , no bone in top front and open roof of mouth. I can see one zygomatic on each side but how do I overcome the issue with the top front?
Alright Doctor, I definitely am a candidate for that procedure, due to long term denture use. And my bones are now not existent. How much does it cost to have a full top and bottom implant in your practice doing nasal lift?
Just wondering which of these options do you consider to be the best? & I worry about the pain(true of even the standard implant procedure!)... Are they all about equal in that regard, or is there one of the options that might be less painful than others? That's what I hope! I got an upper denture & partial on bottom (front 6 teeth remaining, but need extraction now) done at 26 yrs old, 34 now & researching options.
Go to the right Dentist and you won't have much pain, the Pain is from the cutting of the gums, More advanced dentists can punch a small incision now with the laser and drill the bone from there, the bone shouldn't hurt because there is no pain receptors there
I recently had all on 4 implants and currently have them temporary bridge screwed into the abundment. Sorry, if I don't have the correct terminolgy. The stitches are still in and I will get permenant implants in six wks. My questions are what is the name of temporary bridge and most importantly is it okay to floss while I still have the stitches. I am getting mixed messages and would really appreciate your help. Thank you sooo much, I appreciate you help
Hi Maureen, the bridge is called a temporary bridge (you are right!). If you can pass water between the bridge, then that may be the best thing for now. You want to try and be a little careful in the early days, you don't want to disturb the healing, after the stitches are out, you can be more thorough with the cleaning. If you can gently floss, then that should be fine.
Wouldn't it be better if the dental profession worked on ways of keeping all of our natural teeth? I find it astonishing that in the 21st century medical science cannot provide effective ways to treat gum disease and bone loss. A cynical person might think it's because there is no money to be made out of it.
All you need to do to keep your teeth is to avoid sugar and clean them effectively. These solutions have been around for a while and they are super cheap.
@@drgurssehmi Unfortunately it's not so easy to be sure you are cleaning them effectively. As you said in one of your videos, serious damage can be occurring below the surface you aren't aware of until you suddenly get told you have advanced gum disease and by then it's pretty much too late. Each tooth lost makes it more likely the next one along will go too due to the gaps. I honestly don't understand why they can't treat gum disease with antibiotics. All I ever got given was really painful scaling and polishing that left my mouth awash with blood.
There are easy solutions but doctor will never tell you. For example, apply antibiotics on gums. If you still have teeth, (I lost all because of greed of doctors) then apply baking soda or table salt for five minutes dailt. It will ro wonders.
