- Dr Bruno Silva talks about his experience with zygomatic implants. At Brighton Implant Clinic we have been placing zygomatic implants since 2013. These implants are quite different to conventional implants in that they are placed away from the usual bone positions of the mouth. The zygomatic implants are inserted into the cheekbone and they provide strong support for upper fixed teeth. These implants are only indicated in patients that have limited amounts of bone in the upper jaw. For more infomration see our website www.brightonim...
Thank you sir, for this.
Thank you so much for this video. I am having zygomatic implants put in in 2 days and you helped me to feel alot better about getting them.. So thank you.
I am happy that you found the video helpful. I hope your procedure went well and that you are feeling ok
Awesome video. I'm getting zygomatic implants in 2 weeks. 🙂
I have a lot of bone loss due to infection and gum disease. No way I would have them. Put implants in my cheek bones. If something went wrong. I would need reconstructive surgery. To my face. I will stick with removable dentures.
I need this. But I need to find a dentist in Vancouver bc that does this.
What if the bone loss is in the lower jaw, what is the solution in this case, still zygomatic?
zygomatic implants are only indicated for the upper jaw, if you have limited amounts of bone in the lower jaw there are specific solutions for the lower jaw
How much
that depends on the complexity of treatment. I would recommend that you seek to get a thorough dental implant assessment and then your dentist will be able to go through the costs in detail with you
Are zygomatiques implants last forever?…
We hope that they would last forever however nothing is guaranteed. In our clinic we have been placing implants since 2013 and since have had multiple patients benefit from this treatment. Some cases are more complex than others and hence the chances of success will vary from patient to patient.
