I appreciate that you tried these recipes despite knowing your weakness for goodies. I use fat bombs to keep me honest. When we go out and my friends have dessert, I can decline knowing when I get home I'm going to the freezer and pop me one of these babies. I don't feel deprived nor do we feel like we have to have a full blown dessert every day. If life is getting real and I start needing to nibble, I can hold off, knowing after I have a good dinner...if I still need to, I can have one of these with little or no guilt. That has kept me Keto for two years along with great recipes from Highflalutin Low Carb and a hand full of other Keto channels I trust.
I use them at night after a rich dinner or when I'm really craving chocolate. I store them in the freezer. The ritual of going into the freezer, pulling one or two out and letting them rest a couple minutes.. makes it feel way more indulgent.
I've lost about 90 lbs since first starting watching you a year ago. You're as inspirational now as you were then when I really really needed someone like you to inspire me!! Wes, I had a 4-5 month stall on Keto too. But not gaining is WINNING!! Congratulate yourself when you don't gain! Don't get sad about it. I also gained 5-10 lbs as well at one point but then I hid the smart sweets from myself. LOL. I had to add intermittent fasting to get over the last plateau. That plateau messed with my head!! Big time. I had to stay in control of it bc as you know as a friend on Keto, I am sick of grappling with my weight and I just got fed up enough to say no, absolutely not, we are getting to the goal weight. 40 lbs to go and They seem more impossible than the first 90. Kudos on another gem. I’m not sure I want to try them. I don’t crave sweets much. My go-to is cream cheese, whipping cream, sour cream, cocoa powder, swerve, and vanilla. It’s like a cream cheese pudding that’s so good!!!
I regard those who do crave sweets among some of the luckiest people in the world, not far behind those who do not get headaches or, far worse, migraines.
When I'm on keto, my appetite is so low that I NEED to eat. sometimes I just won't eat because I don't have an appetite so fat bombs can be helpful as an easy quick food. one of my favorite snacks is smoked kippers (canned fish lol) also quick easy and healthy

So true, and I am a snacker, if I don’t keep snacks around I could not do this for the long haul. I make cookies and freeze them to bake later, and I make side dishes of veggies and I will take one of those out of the freezer and eat That, or there is a great avocado brownie recipe that freezes after being baked. I am losing weight but slowly, and I am okay with that.

I agree! I can't express how much I miss gummy bears. I know they aren't good for you but dang I miss them so badly. I've tried making homemade ones with a little keto sweetener, unflavored gelatin, and sugar free jello but it doesn't even come close. I'd rather not have it than have that as a "fix". I made some, and yeah, they were gone by the end of the day, lol. I also made a batch of little easy cheesecake fat bombs by mixing cream cheese with coconut oil and sweetener. I left enough room on top for ground almonds (mixed with melted butter) pressed lightly on top. Then when popped out, and turned upright, they looked like tiny cheese cakes. 😋
Just started incorporating fat bombs myself (doing keto for about 2 years) I also have portion control issues and for the most part I can control myself with them but I do struggle sometimes. I regularly melt Lily’s milk chocolate chips and mix with toasted almonds and unsweetened coconut and make haystacks. I always have these available and make them a couple of times a week. And I’ve lost 60 lbs in six months so it’s not keeping me from losing weight. I was so surprised.
When you are helping a loved one eat keto .. you can manage their food but sometimes they need a small reward to keep them motivated. Also I have a hard time eating enough fat somedays

Right now I'm not eating anything sweet, I'm doing carnivore right now. I'm trying to get rid of some more inflammation and kick start my weight loss again.
I count fat bombs as a cheat. I allow myself two "cheats" a month, sometimes one a week without berating myself and that keeps me from feeling deprived. I may have to add these to my rotation. I'm over 50 so dropping that weight is really slow. However, I've lost and not gained back. I count that a win.
Keto is a high-fat diet and not a low-calorie diet. This is not a cheat. I lost 40 pounds when eating a fat bomb almost every day. I gained a bit of weight when I quit. The fat fills you up and in the long run, you are better for eating it.

I did purchase the collagen from Perfect Keto after hearing recommendations, am anxious to try it in this recipe. My son started Keto last month and has been going through that first period of "needing something" so I can try these and get rid of them easily. I’m, unfortunately, in love with good chocolate. I never eat commercial chocolate but if I get ahold of real chocolate, I’m in trouble! I make fat bombs....mostly chocolate ones cuz they are fast and easy and don’t require the oven to heat up. Right before you mentioned combining the two recipes I already decided to make the first and add the macadamia nuts. I have a sandwich size bag of macadamia nut fat bombs in the freezer now but I can never have too many. Lol. I’m on maintenance now ....having lost 28lbs....my goal was 20. If I didn’t make fat bombs, I’d be shopping at Sees. I eat a small fat bomb any day I don’t have a small keto dessert if I’m hungry for a sweet. Usually three times a week. Most keto desserts don’t satisfy my sweet tooth like a nutty chocolate fat bomb does. Sometimes I just drop it into my coffee. It can be a bullet too!

I've found that eating fat bombs as a desert makes it easier to eat less throughout the day. And I thought I was crazy ... there are things I just have to completely avoid or I stall out ... so I've never made fat bombs and avoid mug bread anything that is even remotely dirty. I wondered if you are too many fat calories would the excess deposit as more fat or not ... I know it may sound stupid to wonder but I honestly wasn't sure.
Highfalutin' Low Carb : I just made some chocolat chips, peanut butter chips and butterscotch chips yesterday they taste so awesome and they are much much cheaper then Lily’s chocolat chips ... they can be added to cookies cakes pancakes etc.... the principal and commun ingredient in all three is cocoa butter... so so good... if you want my recipes I will write them down for you.... Combined the 2 recipes, didn't add sweetner since the almond butter i had had a touch of honey. The mixture was thick enough that i filled the mold half way, added the nuts and then topped it off. I melted a small amount of lilys stevia sweetened baking chips and drizzled on to hold onto the salt. Ended up with 24 fat bombs at 88 cal 2.4g carbs 8 2g fat 2.3g protein. Very good, very filling.
Fat bombs help me with...cravings and portion control! I find that since they're mostly fat I can really only eat a couple of them at a time at most and then I'm fine, not really interested in trying to binge them. They're good before a meal, too, which helps knock down the appetite some. Super helpful little things and so many flavors to make! I also am someone who never would have been able to eat just one of anything delicious but fat bombs are just the thing I can do that with.
This is one of the few recipes I can't do. Fat bombs aren't a good option for me (you're not alone my friend in staying away from them). But I'm so thankful you did this for your viewers. It will definitely be helpful just like all your videos are. Thanks for posting!! 💛💛💛
Fat bombs have helped me immensely. I eat higher protein foods and I need the fat. Strawberry or Cookies and Cream are my favorite. 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍪🥛🍪🥛🍪🥛 Quest and Isopure protein powder is what I use.✌😁
I appear to have a similar profile: I have portion control issues, especially when it comes to sweets. I think these recipes would be lovely to serve at a party though.
I make a similar version of these all the time. They are keto lifesavers because they satisfy the sweet tooth craving BUT it's hard to overeat them, in my opinion. They do the trick and I've found that keeping them in the freezer all the time is key to not allowing carb cravings to get to you. The one danger, for me at least, is having macademia nuts, (or any nuts for that matter) around the house, as they give me huge carb cravings.
I'm with you concerning the macadamia nuts. But for me, they don't create carb cravings, they just switch off my satiety response and I could easily eat two bags (aka 250 g) in a row. For the sweet craving I simply have a piece of 85% chocolate. That's 2 g net carbs in 12 g of chocolate and I nibble at it for quite a bit. Sometimes I dip it in natural peanut butter...

If you have problems with portion control and snacking, the trick that works absolutely perfectly for me is OMAD, One Meal a Day. This is on top of keto of course. When it is meal time, I can eat as much as I want, and long before I can eat "too" much, I am absolutely sated. I can eat my absolute favorite treats, and not over eat them. You DO have to have the will power to stick with a fasting regime for 23 hours of the day, but when you are keto, fasting is pretty easy.
Wes, I know you're testing an established recipe, however you can also sprinkle the salt into the mold and it will absorb during the set up. Just FYI for the other viewers.

These fat bombs look like a perfect size to just pop in your mouth for one bite. I think I'll make the Chocolate almond butter recipe, sprinkle a little Colima salt into the mold before filling it and add a half a macadamia nut in the middle of each one. Thank you for another great video.
I made the combo you suggested for Valentine's Day. I doubt they'll make it through the weekend. Went easy on the salt on mine cause my husband isn't a fan. This is also my go-to. I usually leave out the sour cream and cocoa powder and add in some fresh mashed up berries. Strawberries are my fave.

Coconut oil doesn't go rancid, but it will melt at room temps. I love your channel.

Just started incorporating fat bombs myself (doing keto for about 2 years) I also have portion control issues and for the most part I can control myself with them but I do struggle sometimes. To each their own I suppose. It is a nice treat sometimes and something to look forward to at the end of a hard day. Love you Wes hope to see a lot more from you!!! 💜💜💜

I regularly melt Lily’s milk chocolate chips and mix with toasted almonds and unsweetened coconut and make haystacks. I always have these available and make them a couple of times a week. And I’ve lost 60 lbs in six months so it’s not keeping me from losing weight. I was so surprised.

When you are helping a loved one eat keto .. you can manage their food but sometimes they need a small reward to keep them motivated. Also I have a hard time eating enough fat somedays

Right now I'm not eating anything sweet, I'm doing carnivore right now. I'm trying to get rid of some more inflammation and kick start my weight loss again.
Meat is inflammatory. Also gluten, dairy, omega 6 oils etc.
I count fat bombs as a cheat. I allow myself two "cheats" a month, sometimes one a week without berating myself and that keeps me from feeling deprived. I may have to add these to my rotation.
I'm over 50 so dropping that weight is really slow. However, I've lost and not gained back. I count that a win.
No cheat! They are a great way to get more fat, magnesium and great way to fix those cravings. Don't be so hard on yourself!

Keto is a high-fat diet and not a low-calorie diet. This is not a cheat. I lost 40 pounds when eating a fat bomb almost every day. I gained a bit of weight when I quit. The fat fills you up and in the long run, you are better for eating it.

Also ppl don't seen to understand keto is not a "high protein" diet it's all about the fat.

I did purchase the collagen from Perfect Keto after hearing recommendations, am anxious to try it in this recipe. My son started Keto last month and has been going through that first period of "needing something" so I can try these and get rid of them easily. I’m, unfortunately, in love with good chocolate. I never eat commercial chocolate but if I get ahold of real chocolate, I’m in trouble! I make fat bombs....mostly chocolate ones cuz they are fast and easy and don’t require the oven to heat up. Right before you mentioned combining the two recipes I already decided to make the first and add the macadamia nuts. I have a sandwich size bag of macadamia nut fat bombs in the freezer now but I can never have too many. Lol. I’m on maintenance now ....having lost 28lbs....my goal was 20. If I didn’t make fat bombs, I’d be shopping at Sees. I eat a small fat bomb any day I don’t have a small keto dessert if I’m hungry for a sweet. Usually three times a week. Most keto desserts don’t satisfy my sweet tooth like a nutty chocolate fat bomb does. Sometimes I just drop it into my coffee. It can be a bullet too!

I've found that eating fat bombs as a desert makes it easier to eat less throughout the day. I just feel really full after eating one and I don't get the same cravings for them as I do for a carb loaded treat. Also, I feel happier and more energetic for several hours after eating a fat bomb, so I have started to eat them at the end of my lunch and dinner.

And I thought I was crazy ... there are things I just have to completely avoid or I stall out ... so I've never made fat bombs and avoid mug bread anything that is even remotely dirty. I wondered if you are too many fat calories would the excess deposit as more fat or not ... I know it may sound stupid to wonder but I honestly wasn't sure.

Highfalutin' Low Carb : I just made some chocolat chips, peanut butter chips and butterscotch chips yesterday they taste so awesome and they are much much cheaper then Lily’s chocolat chips ... they can be added to cookies cakes pancakes etc.... the principal and commun ingredient in all three is cocoa butter... so so good... if you want my recipes I will write them down for you.... I love your channel, thank you for all your hard work.

I can see how these would be helpful, I have only been doing keto a short time and I keep coming up short on calories and “my fitness pal” chastises me on the regular. Combined the 2 recipes, didn't add sweetner since the almond butter i had had a touch of honey. The mixture was thick enough that i filled the mold half way, added the nuts and then topped it off. I melted a small amount of lilys stevia sweetened baking chips and drizzled on to hold onto the salt. Ended up with 24 fat bombs at 88 cal 2.4g carbs 8 2g fat 2.3g protein. Very good, very filling.

Fat bombs help me with...cravings and portion control! I find that since they're mostly fat I can really only eat a couple of them at a time at most and then I'm fine, not really interested in trying to binge them. They're good before a meal, too, which helps knock down the appetite some. Super helpful little things and so many flavors to make! I also am someone who never would have been able to eat just one of anything delicious but fat bombs are just the thing I can do that with.
This is one of the few recipes I can't do. Fat bombs aren't a good option for me (you're not alone my friend in staying away from them). But I'm so thankful you did this for your viewers. It will definitely be helpful just like all your videos are. Thanks for posting!! 💛💛💛
Fat bombs have helped me immensely. I eat higher protein foods and I need the fat. Strawberry or Cookies and Cream are my favorite.

I make a similar version of these all the time. They are keto lifesavers because they satisfy the sweet tooth craving BUT it's hard to overeat them, in my opinion. They do the trick and I've found that keeping them in the freezer all the time is key to not allowing carb cravings to get to you. The one danger, for me at least, is having macademia nuts, (or any nuts for that matter) around the house, as they give me huge carb cravings.
I'm with you concerning the macadamia nuts. But for me, they don't create carb cravings, they just switch off my satiety response and I could easily eat two bags (aka 250 g) in a row.
For the sweet craving I simply have a piece of 85% chocolate. That's 2 g net carbs in 12 g of chocolate and I nibble at it for quite a bit. Sometimes I dip it in natural peanut butter...

If you have problems with portion control and snacking, the trick that works absolutely perfectly for me is OMAD, One Meal a Day. This is on top of keto of course. When it is meal time, I can eat as much as I want, and long before I can eat "too" much, I am absolutely sated. I can eat my absolute favorite treats, and not over eat them. You DO have to have the will power to stick with a fasting regime for 23 hours of the day, but when you are keto, fasting is pretty easy.
Wes, I know you're testing an established recipe, however you can also sprinkle the salt into the mold and it will absorb during the set up. Just FYI for the other viewers.

These fat bombs look like a perfect size to just pop in your mouth for one bite. I think I'll make the Chocolate almond butter recipe, sprinkle a little Colima salt into the mold before filling it and add a half a macadamia nut in the middle of each one. Thank you for another great video.

I made the combo you suggested for Valentine's Day. I doubt they'll make it through the weekend. Went easy on the salt on mine cause my husband isn't a fan.
