- Kassiopi is a charming village on the northeast coast of Corfu, about 30 km from the city and the airport. Located in a beautiful landscape created by Mount Pantokratoras, the endless olive groves cover the surrounding hills and the rocky coast, with countless small gravel and pebble bays. Historical and picturesque city at the northern entrance to the Strait of Epirus coast, conveys something of the eventful history.
In the small harbor found shelter ships that sailed from the West to the East. Once the ships arrived here the emperors of Rome. Here now Nero relax and sang his creations in front of the famous temple of Zeus Cassius.
Today little remains of those times. The Venetians, considering that it is difficult to defend their castle and the port, blew up parts of the castle and evacuated the village. Since the few glorious past portions of the ancient castle and about the ancient temple of Zeus is famous today the church of Holu Maria with an image that is considered miraculous.
Historically a small traditional fishing village, its surroundings have largely been developed with luxury villas. Kassiopi remains a summer social centre heavily visited by tourists, particularly popular with visitors from the United Kingdom and Italy.

the roads are mostly two-lane, but very narrow between small towns
Да. Улочки узкие. Машины с трудом проезжают. Набережная низкая. Приливы не затопляют?
это надо там пожить, чтобы узнать затопляют или нет. Но на данный момент не было заметно,все сухо
