I still get chills when they toss the swords down, the music is so perfect, and it's the same theme when the Heralds walked away.
I realized later the ultimate parallel when Dalinar gives up his blade to save the bridgemen, but for honorable reasons
Dalinar also can feel what's happening to the Spren, if kalidan was given this vision by the storm father i wonder if we'd actually see them all
I can't imagine they wouldn't tell the raidiants what would happen, just like Syl with him
They could not bare the shame when they learned the truth...
They might not have known it would kill their sprens, so they did what they thought was right.
Spoilers:
In RoW it says they understood that this would kill their Spren. The spren were willing to make the sacrifice, as Maya stated when defending Adolin during the trial in Lasting Integrity.
@@Rsoutlawzz Really? When I read I thought they meant it will just put them to sleep like Syl was after her Knight died. I gotta read it again I guess.
@@Rsoutlawzz You are wrong the death of the spren was a surprise. That is not what happened when people borke their oaths before this moment. Something changed before this that made breaking oaths worse. Not gona tell u what though it has to do with an unmade :D
@@robertm.8653 He is wrong breaking oaths did not kill spren before this event. SOmething changed that they did know about.

Haha well at least we know now they did it willingly, deciding together.. It gives the recreance a nobility it didn't have before..i think the only thing they didn't anticipate was becoming dead eyes, likely a side effect of binding ba-ado mishram
@@KaladinVegapunk Oatbringer brought a bit of nobility to it too, in that the radiants did it because of what they did to Ashyn.(though from my guess, honor's death was the main cause of it)

This is so more meaningful once you know the why.
They did what they thought was right. The only thing they didn't think through was how the world would be impacted afterwards.
What they should have done would be to try and broker peace.
Can't broker peace with people that they have robbed of their minds and souls. And they did not want to be the cause of apocalypse. They did the best they could with the knowledge they possessed.
