    "Its alright, Im here.. to help you feel brave-" God I've never had a series hit me so hard. I was in an incredibly dark place this year and hadn't seen just how gone from myself i'd become. This book, this moment, healed something in me. I've never cried so hard so unexpectedly. I come back to this moment when I start to forget myself, till I don't anymore. Stories can have so much power. Stormlight Archieves has changed my life in so many ways with each book. I hope more people find this series or just other great stories in general to help them the way this series has. 🌠

      @@sebastian114Kaladin has survivor's guilt more than anything, and a little ptsd, depression and seasonal affect disorder too. He started suffering from PTSD quite a bit in RoW when he kept freezing up when fighting, poor Elhokar. Fuck Moash.
      Dalinar deals with PTSD the most out of everyone, Shallan has split personalities, Kaladin has survivor's guilt, Renarin is on the spectrum, and Navani has imposter's syndrome.
      It's the only fantasy book or series that I've seen incorporate people's flaws like this. It brings the character development to a new level, it's kinda ruined other series for me.

    • @alassesinda
      @alassesinda Год назад +10

      I read on Reddit that it was because this was produced during the COVID-19 lockdowns and it was a nightmare to manage the production especially with multiple voice actors in different places.
      Also the I am guessing you meant the Stormfather's VA saying "These words are accepted!" like when Kal swore the third ideal (which was an EPIC moment and done amazingly by GraphicAudio!)

      I'm sure it won't be. Everything is supposed to be tied up, right? And Brando Sando said he's written his best fight scene for this book. The best scene he's ever written. And, yeah, we have the contest of champions. Szeth on a killing spree on Shinovar, and all that. I think it's going to be the most fast-paced because of all there is to explain. I'm imagining this is going to go like The Hero of Ages, but on a larger scale and more intense and emotional.

Oathbringer's first completed draft was over a half million words. I think Brandon will make book 5 shorter, at least by a little bit, than Oathbringer. That's because those moments are massive highs in the story
      This however is Kaladin facing his past and accepting something he has tried so much to deny, in Oathbringer he refused to say the oath cause of what it implied
      however this shows Kaladin not getting an epic moment however a moment allowing him to begin his process of healing

    • @brendondavid7349

      not every crowning moment of a book needs to be an epic moment. This was an emotional pull for a character that has been through so much. It hits the same level but in different way.
