He complains that they're too powerful. He runs them because they're too powerful. The fastest way to get a powerful card hit is by getting more people to run it. Having less people run it reduces its odds of being hit, due to lack of turnover rate. If you think about causality, it makes sense. In fact, it makes more sense than the contrary.
Some people are calling for its ban, and I find that ridiculous. It's a modern day Swords of Revealing Light. It's at 1 in the OCG and that's where it should be. I like to point out occasionally that, if Mystic Mine was released during MR2/MR1, it likely wouldn't have seen as much play as it does today. Not that it sees a lot of play now as it is. It's naught but an occasional side option more often than not.
@@jones.8004 the problem is if you don’t draw into your hard s/t removal it’s usually an auto lose. Even if you do draw into one of your cosmic cyclones (etc), it can easily be outted by a dark bribe.Mystic Mine is an EXTREMELY strong card that can generate insane hand advantage while not allowing most decks to do anything about it. The burn version is degenerate as well. The opponent should be awarded if the they out mystic mine. They shouldn’t have to deal with a second one
@@infinitekeys1603 why would you play your 1 cosmic cyclone straight away though? Why would you not wait until you had 2 or 3 in hand plus maybe something else like a twin twisters etc. Also I never understand why people don't spiritualism more, that cards underrated. Mine players generally only have 1 or 2 negates (solemns or dark bribes) on board at a time because they have only 5 s/t zones (field barrier and prohibitions also take up space). Also you could main 3x solemn judgements and/or a red reboot. I just dont see the issue tbh. The decks that play at a slower pace (Eldlich/Guru/Sky Striker/even Invoked/Salad etc) that have more recursive ability/have a slightly more balanced deck in terms of having some monsters/handtraps/spells/spell trap removal and counter traps are all able to generally shit on Mystic mine. It's only the decks that over rely on monster effects/special summoning/combo that suffer, and I feel that the card adequelty punishes those decks because they have sped up Yugioh to an almost unenjoyable speed. Turn 1 wombo combo 3-4 negates or 3 handloops. If your deck doesn't really run a back row (solemns/cosmic cyclones etc) and some hand traps, your build deserves to lose to Mystic Mine imo. And I think that's probably the reason why it hasn't been banned yet not even limited. It's a side deck card at best for most decks, that also keeps wombo combo decks in check a bit. Might seem paradoxical but it keeps the game healthy, in some respects, as it forces players to have more balanced decks in some ways, not just focus on combo.
@@jones.8004 yeah, I’m aware that’s it’s optimal to wait until you have 2 or 3 in hand. By then it’s usually too late. Fucking lmao. Why is Skill Drain at 1? When used correctly
Should Konami continue to support remote duels? I mean people that don’t have “local” locals can still participate, and like farfa mentioned it gives us a chance to play against other players has been fun.
@T.J. Johnson Incorrect Fact. It's first and third effects are a soft once per turn effect, but its second effect is not restricted by the 'once per turn' clause. Here is the effect of Zeus which I pulled up to memorize: 'Once per turn, if an Xyz Monster battled this turn, you can also summon "Divine Arsenal AA-Zeus - Sky Thunder" by using 1 Xyz monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) (Quick Effect): You can detach 2 materials from this card; send all other cards from the field to the GY. Once per turn, if another card(s) is you control is destroyed by battle or opponent's card effect: You can attach 1 card from your hand, Deck, or Extra Deck as material.'
Anyone explain to me how banishing the first Driver with Called By The Grave causes the already activated Gamma from resolving it's effect. I understand it's one effect of "Summon both this card and Driver and if you do negate the activation" and therefore stopping the Driver causes the effect of Gamma to not resolve fully. But how does Called By target Driver affect Gamma? I'm genuinely asking. I do not understand. Seeing everyone in his chat agree on that is enough for me to trust it's correct I just cannot see how it is correct.
Because Called by the Grave banishes Driver, Gamma has no targets to summon (since it can only summon a Driver from hand, Deck, and GY) and itself, therefor making the Gamma unable to resolve and negate Dragoon's effect.
