    I've lived in Daegu for 20 years, for me Daegu dialect is "just Korean"...people from other areas have the dialect ㅋ ㅋ

    When I found out that there were five Korean dialect. I was like oh my goodness I’m going to have trouble if I travel around the country. That’s if I ever make it over there. 오빠요. Oppa yo. Is cute way of saying oppa. 오빠.

    As someone who lives in Daegu I can say we do have a lot of weird sounding birds here.

    I'm a teacher in Daegu and I've definitely heard my students say some of these! Especially '배고프다~!' haha

    I'm a foreigner living in Daegu and absolutely love speaking and learning 대구 사투리!! It's such a beautiful dialect full of features of Middle Korean that have been lost in 서울말. So not only cool, but it also maintains so much linguistic heritage 😆

    It's always really cool to learn more about the different Korean dialects! Daegu dialect is becoming my new favorite one the more i learn about it :D

    경산시 inhabitant here. 🙋🏻‍♂️ I love Daegu. It's a big city but still has that small town vibe.

    I had 'Ssinto' youtube channel show up on my feed. When she speaks, her vowels are very rounded and spoken more toward the back of the throat. She said 'kapjagi' once but pronounced it 'chapjagi' like the Yiddish 'chutzpa'. I am curious what dialect she is speaking.
