You did awesome on that zero turn mower, Amy, especially for the first time! It takes some practice to get the feel of it. You can control the speed you are moving so easily, plus maneuvering around things. Maybe get one just a little smaller. We have a 60" deck, which works great. Dougo did pretty good, also. I'm sorry about your sister, Amy. Even after 4 years, the hurt remains. Our 15 year old grandson died in an auto accident almost 9 years ago, & it still hurts. Take care & keep practicing the mowing! Love from TX.❤
Hi Amy, I think you did just fine on the zero turn considering how large it is and not having much experience. I believe you and Dougo would really enjoy a zero turn and reduce your mowing time considerably once you get comfortable using one. Celebrating Sarah’s life with family is awesome, as sad as you are, remember, she is with Jesus in the most beautiful place. God bless you and your family.
You can do it Amy! My mother, who is now 70, loved mowing with her 72” zero-turn. Just takes a little practice. They can be fun to operate. I now have one myself.
Amy we are sorry about your loss. It’s so nice what you’re doing in her memory! We’ll be praying for you all. We had so many laughs with you and Dougo and you did do a good job mowing. You take care Amy! 👍❤️🙏
We just bought our first zero turn, and my husband got a Cub Cadet ZTS2 with a steering wheel. Best decision ever. Front tires steer instead of just flopping around, has pedals for forward and reverse, does great on our sloped yard. I drove it once and didn't mind it at all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. We lost my lovely mother-in-law in June, and someone said something to me that my heart will always remember. I now pass that on to you -- "May her memory be a blessing to your life."
Can't get enough of you two, thank you for the laughs and a little glimpse into your private life. Hope you had a wonderful day of celebrating your sister.
I'm so sorry that your sister passed. All three of my brothers have passed so I understand. It's beautiful that you celebrate her life together. Your lawn looks very nice but that big machine would scare me however saving an hour mowing time with your busy schedule would be very good. That sure is a gorgeous place you have there on the lake.
I am in the sixth season with a Toro zero turn mower 52”. I mow about 4.5 acres, and the zero turn cut my mowing time almost in half from the 48 inch traditional ridding mower I had before the Toro. The Toro mower has been great, but has been a little costly to maintain. Once you use a zero turn mower, you will never want to go back to a traditional ridding mower.
Dugo if you get a chamce try out a Ferris 3300 ,IFS with thr EFI 40 hp Briggs and the seat With air suspension.Mine has a 61 inche deck I mow 4.5 acers, around 74 trees and do it in 2.5 hours.
Thanks again for another great video. Toro plant is in Windom. Just 20 minutes from our farm. We have a 60-inch mower, and that is plenty big. Just wish our Country Clipper had rider suspension. The next mower will.
Amy and Dougo you should watch outdoor with Morgan’s Mike bought the Cub cadet with the steering wheel and I think you guy’s would love it my dad has one and he is 82 and very hard to sell him on anything and after our local dealership let him take one home for a two week test and after the second mowing my dad went right back to the Dealership and laid down the cash and told them it won’t be coming back. Unless it needs work.
Amy, after a loss in my family a very kind friend told me that when ever you lose a loved one or friend whenever you remembered them or their name they were with you and not gone.🙏🙏
Amy, I'm so sorry for the lose of your sister! It is so hard to lose a close member of your family or best friend! I hope you have a good turnout to celebrate the memories!
Have a wonderful celebrate Sarah day, Sept 2 is two years since my wife and my sons mom passed away. I hope we can soon have our own Celebrate Tracy Day. God bless you Doug and Amy
That is an excellent Zero-Turn Lawnmower. I love my Zero-Turn Lawnmower. Mine is a John Deere. It is balanced very well and if you ever ran a swather that had hand clutch and foot clutch these are sort of similar. Again, I love mine.
I have a 54in bad boy zero turn that a fair size . That guy he did a operator era !! If u get one get independent rear axle it makes for a smoother ride ! Yay stay safe
There can be no doubt that the loss of a loved one arrives with immeasurable pain. Amy rest assured the viewers all appreciate sharing your natural response to such pain. Our losses elicit synonymous voids which can only be filled with love and prayer. Cheers.
Dougo if you get the mower with the Mulching Deck attachment and “Gator Blades” you won’t even see any of the grass clippings. No bagger needed. 👍👍👍 Happy Mowing
Actually she is mowing 72" wide swath which is better than any lesser width. And it gets Amy out of the house for some easy exercise ! You could add a canopy to protect her from too much sun. Zero turns are challenging but she will only get better with practice. Go for it.Doug said dust etc. was blowing up on him; perhaps there is a small cab option you could add along with the bagger. So far I love it and am happy for you all. :). I am. so sorry for your loss of Sarah, but love the idea of celebrating her annually. That is so wonderful. I will try to plan a celebration of life for my late son who passed in 2018 and whom we miss still. I am praying for you and your family too.
Agreed on the cub steering wheel design! 54 to 60 inch deck would be more appropriate for your yard! I have been cutting grass for 42 years and just bought a new John Deere with a steering wheel! Amy you are in my thoughts and prayers! Be safe and God bless you and your family my friend!!
Thanks for another very nice video Amy and Dougo. Amy, how nice of you to have your sister’s family over for the day. I am sorry for the loss of your sister, memories of our loved ones is to warm our hearts and always remember them!!!! I applaud you for talking about it and there is nothing wrong with tears when we talk about our departed loved ones. Love you for the tears and remembering your sister. I am sure she is loving you for that. Once again, how nice you have your sisters family over for a nice family day❤!!!!! Now a few comments about the zero turn mowers. Just my opinion now not saying do this or do that. That red machine is too big for you. I love the zero turn mowers and I think you would to BUT you need a smaller zero turn mower. John Deere makes much smaller zero turns mowers and they work great and very easy to handle. You would soon get used to one. Anyway just my thoughts. That red machine is way too big for what you need. Really enjoyed this video and you talking about your sister. Our heartfelt thoughts about our loved ones that have passed is just a natural thing to do. So wonderful of you to have your sisters family over for the day. Your tears Amy is just who you are and that is Gods way of grace helping you talk through it. You did lovely with your thoughts!!!!!!!! Very down to earth video. Just is how life is!!!!!! Pleasure to watch this video. You and Dougo take care. Blessings to both of you!!!!!!!!! The Iowa farm boy. Steve 😊😊👋🙏🙏✅💕💕🇺🇸🇺🇸
We love watching you and Dougo share your adventures. Don't give up on the zero turn. You'll love it after you get used to it. 72 inch cut is pretty aggressive. Maybe you'll like one a bit smaller?
Fyi, Grasshopper has a great 60" snowblower attachment that throws snow 40 ' . Had a 60" mower for 17 years and a 72" for about 10 years. Great machines.
Amy, you got this. Some time in the seat, take it slow. Dougo, she's got this. Give her some time. edit - I commented before finishing the video. You have a great family that loves and supports each other. Enjoy the time with them.
I use to work for Toro selling and doing demos for the zero turns. Very good machines! Toro bought Ex Mark many years ago which was a leader in commercial Zero Turns and they are similar in design. But I would go a little smaller with your yard. 72 was more made for running fast in large areas.
Amy, you will be a pro on this in no time! Cut your grass in opposite directions and then go on the diagonal the third time and you’ll love the results!
Dougo, I run a 72 lnch diesel Kubota zero turn for the schools.I would say with a 72 inch deck, you need the hydraulic lift. John Deere have their lift button on one of their handle along with the quick shutoff on the orher handle.
Try the seat position adjuster for Amy forward and seat belt for safe operation. Yes you turn with a slow smooth transition of direction. Another tip is made one last lap to brush out the head land loops. That Toro is a professional level machine. Try a 60" .
Big mower for a little lady.😀 Hope your day celebrating your sister Sarah was filled with joy and laughter. Thanks for sharing your heart with us Amy. God bless you & Dougo.
I have a 2018 bobcat xrz pro 52 with 265 trouble free hours and I love it! Picked it up used with 45 hours in 2019 for $3750.00 and it booked for $8700 now still sells used for $3500 - $6500 depending on condition and hours!
Get a chute blocker to control the grass clippings. Keep grass off driveway, flowerbeds, etc. When turning, do a three point turn... Come to end and start the turn to about 60 degrees, stop and back up while continuing the turn, then stop and go forward and finish the turn and mow back the way you came. After a little practice you will be a pro. These are a commercial duty mowers meaning blade speed is around 18000. Exmark and Toro are owned by same company. Great mowers. Ferris brags about their suspension but be cautious on the side of hills as it could stairstep the mowed grass. Zero turns are fun and fast, some go 10 mph. Enjoy and Amy will love it too.
Thank you for sharing how you celebrate your sister. P.S. If you decide to get a zero turn it just takes practice but you will do amazing! Agree with Dougo…72” is too large…especially if you have a lot of things to go around and I have been told that the drive belts wear faster on those. I have a 60” Hustler Super Z which I LOVE but would recommend you go with a brand that is well supported by your local dealer.
We have a 42" scag zero turn. We also had a 42" Kubota diesel zero turn. They both work great. Amy needs some tennis shoes or work boots on when she miss. I love my zero turn. It works well around trees. It really cute down on your hand trimming. The orders are easy to use after you ha e practiced a bit. We are saying a prayer for your sister and your family. God bless you and your family.
Doug I have one at work. I use a 60 inch 6000 series I’m on lake property all day mowing perfect size. once you get used to it you will really enjoy it. And get a bagger for it with a blower unit you won’t have to worry about rocks and sticks flying at your house.
Dougo, while a grass cutting height of 4" sounds like a lot, there are some benefits to not cutting grass very short. Taller grass allows the grass to develop a stronger turf. It also helps cut down on weeds coming in and taking hold. Cutting too short stresses the good grass and allows weeds to take hold. I love the comment about your Mother being able to run it, because it was like the swather which probably had the same kind of steering mechanism. The Case self propelled swather we had worked like the zero turn mower and it was a lot of fun to run. I mowed a lot of hay with it.
Get the JD Ztrak, 72", biggest gas motor, twill rear tires, & the good seat...you will not be disappointed. Works great even in small areas. The wider mower leaves less tire tracks. Just don't lock the rear wheel when turning...you will leave divots.
Amy I believe you will always miss and grieve the loss of your sister. I learned that the grieving is like a rock that is always in my pocket, but with time I got used to the rock that will always be in my pocket but I continue to live the way they always expect and it was easier but again I will always have the rock in my pocket. That’s how I am able to live!
My neighbor has a Snapper zero turn. It had a 72" deck & a 37 horse motor. I used it when my John Deere went down. Boy you could cut some grass with that. The only problem I had is that with that big of a deck if you don't have level land it has a tendency to scalp. My JD has a 54 inch deck & it is perfect for my yard. Once you get used to a zero turn you will love it.
I have a Titan with 54” deck. Added a mulching kit… No raking, No side discharge or bagger needed.. I can go around objects Left or right side. I can do almost 2 acres in less than 2 hours with sharp blades.
Get a rear discharge and you wont have to worry about rocks or other things flying out and causing injury or damage. We have a 72 inch Hustler. Works great!
Very nice for you to celebrate your sister Sarah every year. Those memories are special and important. On the zero turn, save your money and buy a John Deere! :)
I have a Grasshopper 61", front mount deck and love it. The front mount makes it easier to go around trees and other obstacles. Zero turns are the best! That 72" was too big for what you need.
Awesome video Amy. It's definitely in the top 10. It's kool how you do the gathering for your sister. Hugs to ya. Zero turn mowers are kool. I've used a couple different ones over the yrs. The main one i did use was a Grasshopper. It's been said that their the Cadillac of zero turn mowers. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
I think you did very well Amy, Take the mower to a bigger area to practice and learn about all the things the mower has to offer then you can go to a smaller area with obsticles to work around.
You could if you want look at Ventrac it is four wheel drive articuate and thirty some attachments for sprig, summer, fall, and winter and can handle steep slops and stay stable
Amy I hope your Celebration of your sister Sarahs life and memories, i hope the time together with everyone shareing things of Sarah was a cherished time of sharing and remembering for all
Dugo try the latest and greatest the reviews are awesome its a Cub Cadet its a o- turn with a steering wheel its super easy try one out you will never go back
Thank you for allowing us to celebrate Sarah along with you.God bless and keep you all💪🙏💞🐢🐝

Sorry for your loss
So nice of you to honor your sister’s memory by hosting the family each year.

Thanks so much. ☺️
Amy, God Bless you and your family this weekend. It’s nice that you do that for your family. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day.
Kinda cute to watch you learn to operate the mower. Dougo is very patient. Have a blessed day.
Great family personal video Amy and Dougo as usual, cheers from Australia, , love ALL the Larson's videos, so natural keep it up !!! cheers Fred :)
Thank you, Fred.
Your yard looks great.
Dougo looks a little nervous when Amy's on the zero turn. Hope you had a wonderful weekend👍
That is a beautiful way for everyone to remember your sister.

I’m just impressed that someone is willing to learn while being filmed. I could never do that. 😂
Thank you for allowing us to celebrate Sarah. It is hard to lose a sibling. God bless you.
why does your "god" give so many unborn babies conditions like brain cancer and leukeamia?
Can't get enough of you two, thank you for the laughs and a little glimpse into your private life. Hope you had a wonderful day of celebrating your sister.

Deere X739 tractor with 4WD and 4-wheel steering master race checking in. Awesome snowblowing machine as well.
Thanks for another very nice video Amy and Dougo.
Amy, how nice of you to have your sister’s family over for the day. I am sorry for the loss of your sister, memories of our loved ones is to warm our hearts and always remember them!!!! What a beautiful day for Sarah’s celebration. Sending my love and comforting prayers your way as you continue to remember her! 🤍

Country Clipper just uses one pogo stick, works awesome in my yard with lots of trees, 72” deck
Big mower for a little lady.😀 Hope your day celebrating your sister Sarah was filled with joy and laughter. Thanks for sharing your heart with us Amy. God bless you & Dougo.
Also Kubota 72 inch has the deck offset more to side to help get closer wirhout having to have tire closer. I like that.
You are hired. What a nice mow job with the Z Master!

Amy you should try a Cub Cadet zero turn. The mower has a steering wheel. The RUclips channel Outdoor with Morgan’s has one and they seem to love it.
We had 3 ferris machines at one time, mowing cemeteries. Still have 1 of them its been about 20 years since we got our first one.
My condolences to you and your family. I lost my daughter 3 years ago in August. So, this is a hard month for me too.
Doug I have one at work. I use a 60 inch 6000 series I’m on lake property all day mowing perfect size. once you get used to it you will really enjoy it. And get a bagger for it with a blower unit you won’t have to worry about rocks and sticks flying at your house.
Amy, it’s worth the money that push button to lift up the deck of the mower and down. We have one and we fight over it me and my dad.
You done great Amy and have a blessed day with your family!
Amy, God bless your family this weekend
Get the JD Ztrak, 72", biggest gas motor, twill rear tires, & the good seat...you will not be disappointed. Works great even in small areas. The wider mower leaves less tire tracks. Just don't lock the rear wheel when turning...you will leave divots.
Hugs and prayers! Your special Angel looking down on you all from heaven!
We have 2 JD zero turns with 60” decks and a utility tractor with the same size!! Love the zero turn!
Thanks for letting us celebrate too! 🙏❤
Good ms.Amy celebrate that life
Amy so sorry to hear about your sister thoghts and prayers for all the family
Blessings and Peace to all the family. You are a very strong lady Ms. Amy and you carry your sister’s spirit with you always. ❤❤
I have a Grasshopper 61", front mount deck and love it. The front mount makes it easier to go around trees and other obstacles. Zero turns are the best!
That 72" was too big for what you need.
SCAG is a great mower should demo one, thoughts and prayers for this difficult time Amy 🙏
You guys are a hoot to watch. Thank you😂
More power, never to big
That is so neat to do those celebrations. Can be hard but refreshing.
Awesome video Amy. It's definitely in the top 10. It's kool how you do the gathering for your sister. Hugs to ya.

We at one time had 3 of them to mow cemeteries. Still have the one, and I can't say anything bad about it. Had ours about 20 years.
You 2 are always a hoot to watch. 😄
You could if you want look at Ventrac it is four wheel drive articuate and thirty some attachments for sprig, summer, fall, and winter and can handle steep slops and stay stable
Sending you Hugs❤

Y’all are awesome people
Have a wonderful Celebration for your Sister. I lost my only Sister in 2005. I miss her.😢
We have two of the zero turn cub cadet’s with steering wheels and we love them. They will stay on a hillside better than any other mower
You could do the wild thing on that mower seat. SMOOTH!
