One thing I always did when I was a tech. Once I got a component installed I tested the new component before reinstalling all the brackets and trim pieces. You would be surprised how many “new” parts are faulty.
Great video! Thanks so much. I can’t stand these actuators as I had them break in all my GM cars and now have had one break in my wrangler. They’re just annoying to replace. At least this one is accessible somewhat.
I replaced mine with your help about a year ago and then I noticed that now the Ac is either Cold or very Hot. No in between… I ordered another actuator and have not installed yet. I'm hoping it is bad and will work with the new one.
I completed this and heat works but I got error codes u0101 p2122 and p2127 I thought maybe they were from unplugging everything but I unplugged negative on battery and cleared the check engine light and rescan and they come up again. Any Info on getting error codes after replacing. I am pretty sure I clicked everything back in to place
The suck factor was high on this project. I did the drivers side today. I also took apart the faulty actuator and found no feed back position sensor or potentiometer. It was just a motor and gears. Therefore it must not matter where the arm is as long as the pin is in the right slot. Position feedback must be coming from somewhere else.
Can anybody tell what size the 3 screws are that hold the actuator in? I’ve lost mine and I’m having a time trying to figure out what size screws I need for it!!
This is not what the steps are for a 2013 ultimate, the clearances are way different and you have to remove additional brackets and the vent cover to get access. There are better videos. Trying to change the actuator after watching this, it was incredibly frustrating. Go elsewhere.

I'm repairing my wife's 12 wrangler, this was perfect. You guided us with everything we needed to know. Thank you.
This is the right video!!! 2014 JKU, done in 30 minutes, $30, with one stop to rewatch one part. Thanks for posting.

After watching your video I replaced it in about 2 hours. Thank you for the video. You are the man!!
Phew! Harder than it looks! I hope it lasts because I don’t want to install that again! Thanks for the video. 😊
Great camera work and instruction. I’m allot more comfortable about this repair now. Thank you.

is that the side you replace if you hear from right side? great video
Thanks - took 40mins and 3 cramped fingers 👍
Great video but I might add it doesn’t appear to be 2007-2017 as I have a 2011 and it’s a little different.
What if the missing tooth doesn’t match up exactly with the old actuator?
Thank you for your time and video ,your are best 👍👍👍👍👍🍺😎

This is a beast of a job but great video . Thank you .
What's caused for this replacement beside its not working? Any symptoms?

Excellent video! Thanks for making it.
Did you remove the seat?
How do you do the one behind the glovebox
Very helpful thank you
This isn't the actuator that's directly to the left when you pull the glove box is it?
No
Does anyone know what the actuator is called that this actuator connects too?? The one with the track that the arm runs along
My 07 has old-style vent buttons. Will the other parts be different as well or is everything the same behind the dash?
i’ve noticed it’s all different
Is this the same for 08?
Very helpful just replaced after watching
my 07 jk, does not have the module on the other side of the metal cover. Is anyone else seeing this issue?
The component at 2:35 which you disconnected. What is that component called/for?
Just letting y’all know this does not look the same on a 2009 Jeep Wrangler
Mien is a 2013 jeep wrangler were would mien be at
2012 different as well

Yeah definitely not the same on a 2009 Jeep JK that is nowhere to be seen
How many time can you say "wanna go ahead" in one video?
My hands are too damned big to get back there. How do you remove that metal bracket that the plate was mounted on?
Just payed over $400 at doge dealer 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Why are you wearing latex gloves on a dry heater box? Lol.
Say module one more time MF!!! 5:27
This video is way too confusing, he thinks everyone knows it like he does, no! There’s easier videos on here.
Terrible instructions
