I quit my terrible Tech Support job I had every minute was giving me gray hair. I'm making the same as well and girl I'm so happy I don't stress anymore, mental health matters. I dealt with many issues and upset customers every day, and after a year and a half I needed to stop this and look for my freedom. Happy to find someone else who did the same. 🌺

Your mental health is way important than working for a stressful company that do not value your hard work. For those of you who's scared to leave your job and you're not happy, just do it. Please remember this, we do not get sick when we're happy. We get sick because we are unhappy. Find peace within and find something that makes you happy. We didn't come to this earth to be miserable. Sending you all love!!

I would like to use this comment to vent. I work security for a cultivation site who also owns a dispensary as well as every license under the sun in cannabis. I accepted willingly but I needed a job coming from the military, from which I was security forces. My current sup was also mil but did not do anything weapons or security related in his career. I make $15 an hour. I am a doorman, security guard, custodian and at times a "dish washer" for plant pots. Knowing my experience and capabilities and not to flaunt a vet status but how is it okay for the CEO who makes probably 10x my salary to not only put an unqualified person in a supervisory role but to pay vets 15 dollars considering the amount of work I put in and assets I protect. Not only have I seen bits of malpractice but everyone who has raised a concern was "let go".

yes but in the mean time, you will put more miles on your car and the maintain cost is going to rise. Also, if you don't have Asian cars, Gas is pretty expensive also. Also, there is tax so half the money is going for taxes at the end of the year. you are self-employed so you have to pay taxes (1099 form). if oneday, your car give up on you while you are driving, this might get you deactivated and now you don't have a job anymore. I think if you are doing Doordash fulltime, at least you are making youtube or any passive income that generates money in case your vehicle brakes or do this in your free time :3 Best luck to you my fellow dasher :3

@@boogeymanw9643 Household of 5, traditionally I've always gotten back everything I've paid in taxes and then some due to being exempt from taxes because the pat puts me right at or just below the poverty line. Hopefully taxes will stay that same way. I'm not too worried about the car, I have money saved up for repairs and I always buy used anyways. I've never owned a new car before and don't plan on wasting money on one. Currently trying to get into this one company for a w2 job though. IDK if I can do youtube, not really a people pleasing person. Very smart decision. Peace of mind is everything and so under looked in our society . Happiness has to be the North Star at the end of the day . 3yrs strong now being an independent contractor driver and have not looked back yet . Support my wife and kid off of it and I love it . Best decision I've ever made . Left a job where I was a department manager and almost everyone tried to convince me of the position I had but the money I was making wasn't worth the back breaking work and responsibilities I had with it where the company wouldn't back me up on anything when employees didn't hold their weight . Don't ever let anyone try to convince you that anything other than your personal happiness matters .

If you think about it, you have tons of inactive time at a 7-5 job where you talk to colleagues or go for a coffee, etc. If you compare that to your active time with DoorDash it's actually pretty relative, but with more freedom. Downtime during DoorDash means spending time with your dogs, watching videos without guilt, basically anything you want. And if you want to go home early, there is no judgement.

I was laid off from my job due to Covid after working there for almost 20 years. I did start flipping (5 unit)long term rentals but that’s not a get rich process at all. And I’m just going to wait until this crazy housing market settles down. All my units are being rented and now started doing door dash 4-5 hours a night Mon-Saturday and it’s pretty crazy how much I make. It’s only been about a month. Any input on taxes? I’ve been taking out some from the paycheck weekly just in case. And tracking my miles, but would like to hear someone’s experience filing taxes while working for door dash.

The worst part about trying to decide to quit my job to do DoorDash is fear of leaving something behind that I’ve been doing for 20 years. I’ve have worked so many factories in my life that it’s all I know. But it’s starting to wear me down and I have no energy anymore. I want freedom with the option to make money any time I want. In my situation, my small city of 20k people isn’t as busy as major cities but at the same time, my wife works part time so it’s not like I need to make full time paychecks for us to be financially stable. I just need to match her weekly pay and we’ll be ok. But the fear of taking that leap and changing everything I’ve been use to for so many years is the worst part. I have an outdoor channel I do on RUclips and it just got monetized but haven’t had the energy to do anything with it lately. Quitting my job for DoorDash would give me more time and energy to get back on that as well.

Hi, thanks for the video. I’m a few decades older, just quit my 20+ year job, considering car sales, but also thinking of door dash. I’m concerned about cost of gas, and making enough for bills,,,and INSURANCE,,, I NEED insurance. But, I’m older and need income security, but don’t want to kill myself and not enjoy life .. not sure what will happen yet,, I’m going to second phase of hiring at a car dealership tomorrow.

I also do Doordash though not full time, one thing to remember though by doing it full time is you are totally responsible for the taxes on that income, so take that into account when you figure out your finances.

Although doordash pays the bills, I've been doing it about three years and yes you can make up to about average 600 weekly, push it and you can make 1000 in a week plus weekends of course. I fill my tank twice a week, my first car made it to 72,000 miles before serious electrical start, ignition problems. My second car made it to 52,000 miles before it needed spark plugs and an ignition coil and started running badly, spent 700. 00 to repair. My third car I bought with 5,000 miles on it, practically new so hoping for the best but I've went 12,000 miles doordashing within 8 months. So with repairs and fuel costs and taxes it's almost a profit, can be, it's all what you can deal with. Easier than a full time have to clock in be there all day type job.. Very flexible.
