Kunafa is an Arabic sweet. When did it become Turkish? Kunafa is one of the traditional Arabic sweets Kunafa was invented in the Arab Umayyad state, where it was presented as a suhoor to Muawiyah. The city that is famous for Kunafa is Nablus in Palestine. Where cheese was added to Kunafa. So It is not Turkish and never will be
