Colin is so geniunely interetsed in James as a person, and he's really gone to the effort to make him feel comfortable. There are so many stories about Colin being such a wholesome person and this interview continues to confirm that.

Every Colin I've ever known has been the loveliest person. Mr Greenwood seems no different.

It is refreshing and exciting, to hear a musician talk about his own work with such enthusiasm and humility, and also be so genuinely gentle

"Stop me if I'm rambling." How humble can a guy get?!

So so interesting…..its lovely to hear it almost as an imagined record. I didn’t know they had approached this from the ideas of stems. Colin truly has one of the best feels of groove and space.
They occupy a completely unique place in my musical tapestry. I grew up hanging out in a record store, then working in the same record store in the 80’s. You don’t know what you don’t know and discovery was explosive with the next needle drop. It feels so different now and I feel lost in a way I never felt when I was young. I found my way and did a 180 degree turn the day I started. I miss it.

Pretty disturbing how much James sounds like Ed in this one. It's as if Ed got a concussion and Colin's trying to explain the album that they made.

The part around 18min, the other side of this is where people are just singing explicitly about their personal life and telling you exactly what to think about the situation and who the villain in the story (the other person 😆) is.
I love that he said start with the b sides
    Because I really like them
    😆😆😆
Follow Me Around is my favorite b side

the whole "best music year ever" project falls down from the fact that 2016 was neither in the 60's nor the 80's.
