I'm an Aboriginal, married to a Maori wahine. Her father is Tuhoe, her Mother is Ngati-Kahanunu. We are part of ( as well as our 5 kids , 22yrs old down to 14yrs )
a Kapahaka roopu in the town where we live. My Mother was instrumental in naming our roopu/group, Tu Te Awaroa ( The Long Standing River) giving reference to the river which runs between our city , Rockhampton and flows out to NZ. My Mother loved our Culture, she loved watching our tamarikis/children perform. Our culture, Aboriginal & my wifes , Maori combined, our children are blessed.
We performed this himine & other waitas my Mother loved at her tangi /funeral. R,I.P Mum, forever in our hearts, thankyou for my life. Rest easy in the Dreamtime.
Ka nui taku aroha kia koe. My love for you will never end.

Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
    When Christ shall come
    With shout of acclamation
    To take me home
What joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim my God how great Thou art
Then sings my soul my savior God to Thee
    How great Thou art
