I love the Maori culture, wish I could of been born as one. I have Maori friends in Australia and they are the best singers, guitar players and don't get me started on the hangi
Who else feels like they've been blessed just listening to this song sung with such glorious vocals? Sitting here with tears on my cheeks and hand on my heart.....wow! First time watching this video. What a gem! Thanks so much for all the work you do on finding these treasures for us. Love love love your channel my friend
Love that you’re reacting to a lot of our cultures things particularly to do with Stan-obviously because he’s amazing! But thank you for your insightful outlook! I’ve watched all of Stan’s I am reactions and I can say you’re definitely the one that is so intrigued by Stan’s music and voice and also our culture! Big love from down here in NZ❤️
Maori and all Polynesians are humble people by nature Our faith is intrinsically in our DNA Singing in our culture and particularly with our Whanau/family is an expression of that faith Thank you for your reactions 🙏🙏🙏
Kia ora e hoa (hello friend) love your videos ❤ alway have the bell on ready! Stan has some beautiful songs that touch on our culture please check out he kakano ahau, matemateāone (features his wedding), te arohanui, dont dream its over, whakamoemiti! Also Teeks & six60 are other great Māori artists 🎨 p.s. come to NZ!
Watching your reactions to our culture is why identity is important. Our past shouldn't have to be hidden because it's misunderstood. The irony is that our culture is willing to embrace others and can only be a prosperous relationship if that same regard is given. God bless you and thank you for your beautiful reactions, they're so heartfelt ❤❤🎉
Oh, my goodness! This performance is stunnnnning. I mean tear-jerking, nose-blowing stunning. The song means a lot to me, as I'm sure it does to many people. They definitely took it to church and back. Stan Walker is a fairly new discovery for me, and I am a HUGE fan now! They are becoming more well-known, and I am sooo grateful to have stumbled upon Stan and his array of amazing music. Thank you for your beautiful reaction, and bless you!!
Bro awesome reaction as always, bro if you loved this you should check out Draw Me Nearer, where its Stan a bunch of his whanau singing in the lounge room
Love all your reactions brother ❤ Yes mainstream is full of garbage. With Stan's music you can feel what he is singing which is a rare thing in today's mainstream music. Keep up the great reactions 💪
This is THE most beautiful rendition of Whakaaria Mai EVER. Even better than Sir Howard Morrison. Brings tears to my eyes. Having these guys sing me out when I have my ashes spread.
Yayy ❤❤❤ loved your reaction! This is one of my favourite songs and videos. Love all these peoples. Some have been on Idol and other music shows. Fabulous. Thanks again. ❤
This is part of growing up here in New Zealand, I've spent many an hour going to sing-a-longs with friends, so much fun, it's in the Maori DNA the musicality! I know how much you love all things NZ, seriously bro, why not take some out from the grind in USA and come to NZ and I will personally show you the real NZ and the odd rugby game too, depending on the time of the year, hey you might be lucky to meet Stan in person! I have been a part of your reactions long enough now to know that you would be welcome with open arms here in NZ. Think about it, the offer is real!!

Im Maori and I have to say that Singing and music is definitely a gift within my family aswell as within my tribes from whanganui and Turangi. (To name a few bands, Katchafire, Paua, House of shem, and even Stan Walker etc). You generally will find a few guitars at the very least in every house and no shortage of singers all singing around the barbecue or grill) Thanks again for the great video x
Polynesians are one of the most humble, you’ll find in our culture many people have so much soul the warmth & emotion you feel in this song alone comforts so many its effortless to have so much love in music !
These were family and friends of a beautiful wahine, Audrey Phillips who sadly passed from cancer. They did this amazing tribute to her and I'm sure she was smiling down at them from heaven with tears in her eyes. No one can watch this without crying because it is so moving. RIP my beautiful basketball friend, Audrey.
Loved your reaction and so glad you have seen/heard this clip. I adore it. There is another lovely vid of Stan and friends/fam singing 'Unchained Melody' (a 1am kitchen jam) you may enjoy - just casually awesome singing. 😄 ruclips.net/video/wa4boUdXPNQ/видео.html

I’ve watched this so many times but just realised Stan is wearing jandals. Speaking of which. Why are they all wearing shoes inside, 🤔 isn’t that the first rule for Māori and poly. First soloist girl is the only one bare feet 😂
@@cmt89497 your correct I’d say they make the rules. But I know no Maori that wear their shoes in their house or anyone else’s. That’s bad manners and not what we taught. All I meant.
Aaww Kia Ora kautau katoa nga mihi Aroha🥰 we are all Spiritual beings having a Human Experience 🙏🏻🙌 Being Maori is a Blessing having Jesus Christ in our lives is who we are he is Central 24/7 ❤️👋🏻🥰

I’ve watched this so many times but just realised Stan is wearing jandals. Speaking of which. Why are they all wearing shoes inside, 🤔 isn’t that the first rule for Māori and poly. First soloist girl is the only one bare feet 😂
No shoes allowed in marae buildings. This looks like it is someone's house, and whoever owns the house would make their own rules?
@@cmt89497 your correct I’d say they make the rules. But I know no Maori that wear their shoes in their house or anyone else’s. That’s bad manners and not what we taught. All I meant.
