Hi freind, your very compassionate, bro, I am Maori, currently living in Auz, will be returning, to my beautiful Country, and Culture. I love six60, God is watching over our Country, to keep our Culture going.❤❤❤
Fun fact: this concert was from 2020 - while the rest of the world was dealing with COVID, we in little old NZ had all but eliminated it which is why we were able to go to concerts. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Thank you for choosing to jump into our culture and music. Your love and warmth are a beacon of hope. You're welcome to come here anytime and I'm absolutely sure your NZ followers will show you around.
I really appreciate your videos and how much love you express towards our culture. Whanau (family) is everything to us. And our people are naturally very strong, determined and warrior spirits even through the struggles. But enough said. Thank you so much. Much love brother x
Please keep us posted in any ways we can help support our Maori brothers & sisters from Us❤😢 I have fallen in Love with their beauty, passion, pride, humility and language. I could go on but I think you get the idea
As Tangata Maaori myself, watching you react to this made me cry.. again 😅🫶🏾 What you felt is what we feel when our culture is acknowledged like this. Its called 'Mauri', which is essentially the spiritual life force that you experience when you really feel and connect with the emotion of the culture. Mauri ora ki a koe, e hoa ❤
Just know that we (maori) appreciate the support of many others such as yourself. Kia kaha, kia maia, kia manawanui e hoa, noreira Ma te Atua koe me to whanau, hei manaaki hei tiaki i nga wa katoa, mauriora...
OMG I say again thank you so much for your love and respect for our culture! Us as Maori do, do what it takes to keep our culture thriving and it made me cry as well that you understand how deep our connection is with our culture! You definitely have to come to NZ to experience it yourself and many of your followers and no doubt new followers like myself would be more than happy to show you our piece of paradise and our beautiful culture❤️❤️
I really think things like this resonate with you and others like you who see how disconnected the world is around them, and when they see such a bond with a body of people you feel it deep and yearn for it. I just love your reactions so much.
Chur my bro! I'm not Maori but have lived in NZ all my life. The way you love the Maori culture, I get it bro! I feel that always! I'm sure I speak for all of us here in NZ when I say you're a Kiwi at heart my guy!!!
brother you have to come to new zealand ....and when you do you have to record your whole experience, mums got a big pot of boilup ready for when you get up north my bro , love
Kia Ora Whanau, Hey, I'll pick the Bro up from the airport and can I come for boil up too please?? Like for reals, I bring the real butter and make some fry bread with honey. 🥰
I just love watching you connect with our culture through the videos you watch. I subscribed to your first reaction to Stan Walker and have loved every reaction since then. BTW, I was there at the concert at the front and the atmosphere was the best (maybe because we were the only country in the world able to have a concert while the rest of the world were in lockdown). Like I said before, I would be one of many who would be happy to host you. Much love ❤
Thank you for reacting to this waiata from Six60 🥰 I thoroughly enjoy watching your content. Not many folks can feel the music and meaning of the lyrics being sung, even if it's being sung in a different language, But being here I enjoy watching your reactions. My favorite reactions were those of Iam Tongi 💜 Sending lots of love to you and your family. Mauri Ora!
Thank you Sir for your reaction. I wish the folk we live amongst would share your opinion of us (Maori people). I've spent most of my life around people that made me feel ashamed and embarrassed to be Maori but to hear someone from the other side of the world understand what a beautiful people we are, it's bitter sweet because why is it a constant battle to be accepted 😢. Thank you Sir because you've helped to instill how important my culture and our people are ❤❤❤ God bless you 🙏
Yes same, even tho my parents were both fluent and we grew up surrounded by our culture there were times where we were felt to be ashamed of who we were... now as an adult in my 40s I stand strong in my maoritanga and also my children and Moko do too.
Oh, man. I totally see why this one hit you so hard. It resonated with your spirit, your soul. Dude, I’m so excited for when you go to New Zealand. The culture is strong there, you’ll see, and they will welcome you as one of their own. I hope you can stay for weeks.😊
I really hope you get to come to NZ and see some of our culture up close, you're reactions are just beautiful. It's like you completely understand us without ever having met. Keep doing your work, its awesome!
Kiwis' will never forget our roots.... Thanks for reviewing this song... I know the song well but have never seen this performance. It was invigorating to watch.🥰
I love love love this reaction. 🤍❤🖤 Your true joy and honest appreciation hits deep. Fun fact - I was in this audience, in the back. Being there in person was another level. Six60 are incredible and do Aotearoa proud. I thought you would like this one. For further indulgence - here is an awesome compilation of their 2021 Tour around Aotearoa. The locations where they are in concert are shown along the bottom: ruclips.net/video/JszQBYhdHEE/видео.html Thanks for sharing with us, your authenticity. When are you visiting Aotearoa?! Kia kaha. Arohatinonui.
The Māori language and culture is extremely special. Sadly we are at the cusp the of a battle right now with our new coalition government which has a key objective to take Māori Pakeha relations back decades. The rest of the world must send their heartfelt protestations to the NZ government today, to prevent a civil crisis happening in our country. The main culprits of this disaster in the making is the Act Party ( leader: David Seymour who is part Māori himself) and the New Zealand First Party ( leader: Winston Peters, who ironically, is also part Māori).
I’m a teacher. I was born and have lived my whole life in Aotearoa NZ. I absolutely believe te tiriti should be recognised in NZ law, and implemented fully, as it should have been in 1840. Your people were duped back then, by the duplicitous colonists. There should be no renegotiation of the original document. It must remain as stipulated in the Māori version of te tiriti.
My friend I'm with you on this journey it's deep and powerful it messes you up but in a order in the midst of chaos it's a pulling back but pushing forward it's the cry been crying alot these days 😭 but it's a good cry live it ❤ I'm from South Africa 🇿🇦🙏
The amazing thing about this concert is that it was held when the rest of the world was in Covid lockdown and NZ was free of Covid at that time - it felt like a healing message and vibration going out to the whole world.
Thank you so much for choosing one of the best concert videos ever to highlight our Aotearoa New Zealand music and culture. Thank you so much for your heartfelt and powerful reaction 🙏💚🖤 Your reaction is exactly what this kind of performance is intended to do... To give you "wiriwiri"... to make you shake in awe 🥰
Beautiful reaction bro, you feel the Wairua, it's strong!!!! You should check out the videos of famous people like Billie Illish and Lewis Capaldi being welcomed into NZ it's really beautiful they sing their songs in Maori!!!!!
Isn’t it beautiful ! ❤ saw this song live in concert and even more powerful seeing live! I cried watching you cry. I am so very blessed to be a New Zealander, to be born in the country we call “Gods own” to grow up in a bicultural society, with the influence of the Māori culture around me and which was embraced by my family, many friends who are Māori, being raised by a Pacific Island step father, married to a Pacific Island man and having Pacific island/Pakeha children, who I put into bilingual te reo māori school in order to embrace the culture and language. The influence of these cultures, most profoundly the Māori culture has enriched me as a person, invaluable lessons that have helped me be the person I am today. A Haka will bring me chills and tears will stream down my face ever time, you feel the power, the spirt of these people by just sitting listening to an elder, watching performances or through the expression of song and language, you feel it. So proud of how the Māori have held onto their culture and how they have slowly been gaining their power and mana back. ❤
We love Stan's voice and the way he expresses his christian faith, together with his so gifted friends and whanau who are all examples of what love is.
Very honored to see your reactions. You just GET it! This is all about ones connection to ones soul and you my friend have a deeper understanding of your connection to not only yourself but to the world as a whole. Great video brother 👍
