I have the same thing with the love triangle trope. Like I do hate but I think if it's done right it can be soooooo fun. A great example is a tv-show called: Jane the virgin. I think that in order for a triangle to work both guys (I say guys because it's mostly 1 girl, 2 guys of where I've read/seen it) needs to be good choices. Both needs to have chemistry and actually be someone good for the mc.
The “Teacher-Student” book I like is Loving Mr. Daniels because it’s not all about the forbidden attraction and there’s only a three year difference. She’s 19, he’s 22. She is in high school but she was held back due to a heart condition. The step-sibling romance I honestly loved was June First by Jennifer Hartmann. It is a SUPER slow burn which I honestly loved but could be too much even for people who do like slow burn. But I think it worked due to the subject matter. Technically it’s adopted siblings, Brant was adopted when he was six. Anyway the reason I think it really worked and I loved it was because you see both his and June’s struggles with their feelings and it doesn’t shy away from how the family is affected when it comes to light. It is a six year age gap so I know for some people it might be uncomfortable when say she’s 12 and he’s 18 knowing that they’re eventually going to get together but I didn’t mind it. Nothing happens before she’s 18 (though he does start to realize he has feelings for her when she’s 17 if that matters, and so does she but neither of them are willing to acknowledge it) it’s beautiful and I thought it handled it’s subject matter really well Edit: Loving Mr. Daniels is very insta-lovey though, they meet before the find out that they’re the teacher and student so I can see a lot of people not liking that but I was honestly fine with it because I bought their love.
Mentally prepare for Fourth Wing with the tiny thing, it was so annoying EVEN though I absolutely loved it. But she’s a strong character, after awhile I just forgot about it.
I literally finally talked myself into getting a Kindle Unlimited subscription pretty much solely so I could read For The Fans. Read it a couple weeks ago and cannot stop thinking about them. So thanks for that. My brain is now entirely consumed by either Keeran and Avi or Oakley and Quinton from Iced Out. So thanks for that ❤. Excited to be able to actually read half of what you recommend now that i have that subscription lol 😂

Ok but wait one I think could have been included in the death trope is If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin omg I didn’t know I hated that trope till I read this book like I literally wanted to throw the book after reading it but the writing was just so good that I loved it and plan to read the second book in the series called If Only I Told Her coming out Feb 6th. Also yes to the person that said you look like you have devil horns when you sit in front of those painting but what you would look like with devil horns in a fantasy setting, it’s giving fantasy I’m not sure why.
