A few weeks back, I did a video on my favorite editions of each Halloween movie, and you guys seemed to really dig it.
So now, I want to do a video on the BEST edition of each film in the series. Whether it be due to presentation, special features, etc.
This is the best version of each Halloween film.

The Via Vision Blu-ray of RZ’s 1&2 has both cuts in Blu-ray & it is the definitive release of those IMO. Also has a nice thick case & superior imo.

I have all these but still on the rz dvds. It all began with the blockbuster presents Halloween vhs
I finally caved and bought the Halloween set signed by a few people, and the next day, they announced Halloween 1-5 on 4k. My wallet was crying for mercy those 2 days 😂

Halloween 3 does have dolby atmos!

I just ordered Halloween 3 from Scream Factory and it arrived utterly smashed to pieces :( I hope I get a replacement.

It's funny I never watch my Halloween movies until falls but lately I put on the trilogy and I gotta say , kills is the GEM of the series.

I own everything you showed plus many more.
For the sake of cost and availability, if someone asked me how to best collect the franchise, these are the editions I would suggest:
1. Scream Factory 4K editions of 1-8
2. ViaVision Blu-ray edition of Rob Zombie’s Halloween I-II
3. David Gordon Green Halloween Trilogy 4K collection
35th Anniversary of Halloween for me. Could be wrong, but the 35th was supervised by Dean Cundey, but not the 4K.

I think the original Halloween 4K is ok. I don’t like the new color grade the 4K has but I’m glad that extra blu-ray has the original color grade & the tv cut. Sadly the extended cut has a new mix which is nice but sadly the anchor bay dvd of the tv cut is the only way to get the extended cut with the original mix.
Halloween 2’s 4K is good but I wish the tv cut would get a widescreen remaster like they did for the original film so we could se that proper ratio and the new blu-ray just upscaling it poorly which really shows that the money should be invested in elsewhere
Halloween 3 is great buy that now in 4K!
Halloween 4 has a great transfer on 4K but the audio isn’t the best; the original mix is more accurate on the dvd audio mix included but it’s not the original stereo which is a shame. So if you can get the laserdisc or vhs I would for the open matte image & original mix
Halloween 5 in 4K has the deleted opening that makes the storyline make sense so it worth it for that alone.
Halloween 6 4K has producer cut in 4K
H20 has a 4K but I’d honestly recommend the blu-ray that’s open matte. You see a bit more image and it has the original audio mix.
Halloween resurrection slaps and the 4K has the version of the film that’s less than an hour long and the best cut for the haters so watch that on the blu-ray in the best quality.
For both of Rob’s films you can get the via vision bd that has 4 discs with all the cuts; but if you want the fullscreen dvd for Rob’s original Halloween its alt frammed like a James Cameron film so I’d get that if you enjoy the theatrical cut.
The recent ones in 4k is fine and looks fine
Also the Titans of Cult 4K release of Halloween 2018 is the one I own/ my favorite release of that year
I haven't upgraded yet for the Halloween films. I just feel like the Blu-Ray's are pretty solid. The only ones I might upgrade are 1, 3 & 5 for the new features. But now Via Vision has released 2 & 3 on Blu-ray with new commentary tracks.
I don't think Scream Factory will be doing Rob Zombie's Halloween films. There was an interview with Planet Chhh where he was told the Rob Zombie films were added in there just because the rights holders had extra discs laying around. This is also why F13th Remake & Freddy vs Jason were just the same old discs too. They weren't even going to add Rob Zombie's films to the set.
I missed out on the Best Buy set, I'm going to have to get the trilogy set that's cheaper.
The Blu-ray’s are solid for sure. You can’t go wrong with those
i been watching the first halloween movie alot from 1978 its really good i have the dvds and blurays and the look and sound really great i never really noticed the difference . i dont have a 4K tv yet so im pretty much happy for right now with my HD tv . i was born in 85 and i didnt get into halloween till i heard ther was H2O if im 38 curently right now i probably would of been about 12 or 13
I watched a interview with Danielle Harris and she said that she would be interested in doing another movie that takes place after Halloween 4 it was a 25 anniversary panel . In all honesty I think they should let the Halloween series rest Jamie Lee Curtis killed him off in ends they should just leave him alone. There are rumors floating around about another Halloween movie in the works
Are you sure about SF’s Season of the Witch lacking Dolby Atmos? On my 4k disc, Dolby Atmos is an option

Yessss I’ll never get tired of the Halloween videos! The scream factory 4K of the original is incredible. I also love my Via Vision release of Rob Zombies Halloween 1 and 2.

There is a handful of special features missing here and there, but the SF versions are still the best. The only thing I would have mentioned is the Alliance double feature blu-ray for Rob's movies. That's the only way to physically own the theatrical cuts of both movies in HD.
