If you want the truth behind this, I am the one who gave Jason Blum. The idea of doing this movie. The Blair witch is actually going to be a prequel more than anything else. I talked with Jason Blom on his Facebook and I give him the idea of go back to the origins of the Blair witch story and I thought I would give you this message and let you know it’s more of my idea and his he is also gonna give me the credit for giving him the idea of doing this movie. I wrote him in his Facebook and yes, I did give him the idea of going back to the origin story of the Blair witch. That is what he’s doing. I know that I don’t have any punctuations at this point because I prefer putting them in a paragraph more than anything else but getting back to saying about all this you should know by now that it was really my idea for this movie to happen and give me some credit if I was you I was called a liar about this about doing SAW 10 and I was also my idea as well. It’s true to do is ask James WAN the director writer of those movies and ask him about the idea of me giving him the idea of going back to the basics on saw franchise and get everything else out too for that but but you should read this on your next video about the new movie of the Blair witch. You should know it was my idea and my idea and I wrote to Jason Blum and his Facebook and give him the idea to the beginner story of the Blair witch story got out before the events of Ellie Kett words and get her story told and Ruston Park and his story being told to lead from those events to the movie itself, so it will give us some closure about the Blair witch of the woods in The small town of Maryland and outside of Burkettsville is the name of that place was really known as Jacksonville. It would be before that it was awesome known as the Blair town or something, but he hear stories from the sequel all the Blairwood project. No one has the book of shadows That one takes place before the third movie known as Blair witch 3 so it will give you some insight about that as well, but as I said to Jason Blum about to say I found his Facebook. I said I think it’ll be a good idea to do a story of the Blair witch knows. I said something about it to him. That we could use a prequel story about any other, so hyped up about it and he was more than happy to do that because didn’t know that he had a fan out there that wants to some answers of what really did it happen according to the story of how Ellie Kenwards became witch of the Blair town of Maryland the small town of Burkettsville so if you want, you can read this on RUclips if you like and do not leave my name out I want credit for giving the comment I want the credit because the first place was I want you to at least give me some credit for the idea of doing a prequel story of the black wedge that is combs not as a shock to you. I hope that you read this out loud on RUclips so I know that you seen it , I just might do a playlist i’m the Blair tube fans and that is it the Blair tube fans of people that is fans of RUclips so I would give you the time and the credit for making a video give me credit for them or just give my friend just bomb that opportunity of doing a horror film based on the Blair witch and pick up before the original movie the Blair Project. It makes sense of the timeline as for now is I’m good to say and I hope that you read this on RUclips and out loud so I know that you’re giving me the credit forgiven the idea of doing, the Blair which he could have a credit for making the movie, but I am going to get the credit for giving him the idea of doing this movie because it was my idea in the first place and I wanted to give you a idea and maybe a request to read this on RUclips so people will know that it was me that gave that idea to Jason Blum so how the opportunity to make this into a movie so feel free to use the comment and do not leave out my name you’re free to use it anyways it’s gonna show your comments anyways that’s all I wanna say for now. I hope you get a chance to read my comment out loud to hear about it

Friday part 5 would've been cool and more believable had they not telegraphed how Roy was obviously the killer. That and it being almost too over the top with the gratuitous nudity and skeeze factor. I don't hate that they took a chance.

Even though I know not the best movies I have always like the Friday movies. I grew up watching them and I have always loved the camp setting and Jason as a killer. Pretty much agree with your list for the most part. I always find myself rewatching 2, 3, and 4 the most because they are my favorite ones. The original is okay but what I mostly like i the series is Jason so.....I enjoyed the change of pace with X and just had a good time with it. Where we may differ a bit is the remake of 2009. I really enjoyed the movie and the fact that it made some changes to the lore of the series (holding a prisoner) made it different in a good way to me. And that opening was one of my favorites of all time. But all in all pretty good list in my opinion.

I'm a "Jason die hard",lol. The Friday franchise is superior in every single way in terms of all the other franchises; A nightmare on elm street, Halloween, Child's play, Scream, etc. Friday didn't truly start to suck till part 8. PART 8! That is INSANE.....when did Child's play start to suck?! Part 3. Let alone Seed of Chucky. When did Halloween start to suck? I think most would say part 5. When did Elm street start to suck?! I like part 4, but that is technically when Freddy went down hill, but Elm street didn't truly start to suck till part 5. Scream. Never had a worthy sequel and i say that as a "Scream 1 and 4" fan, but a lot of people don't like 4, and again although it may be the best of the sequels in my opinion, it still isn't as good or equal to the original. Friday the 13th part 1 -7 are solid. Jason X is also solid. So that makes 9 movies out of 12....and to provide context - I can enjoy Friday the 13th part 8. I can enjoy Elm street part 5, but those are "guilty pleasure" movies. So when it comes to the franchise. Here are the movies I actually like and enjoy. Halloween 1, 3, and 4. Friday the 13th, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, X, and 8 is a guilty pleasure. A nightmare on elm street, 1, 2, 3, 4. Child's play, 1, 2, 3, Bride, and Cult. Scream 1 and 4. Jaws, 1 and 2. And for the last 5 years, I've liked Child's play 2 less and less and less every single time I watch it. No idea why. But the original film is clearly the best in the franchise. Part 2, it use to be my favorite of the franchise, but it isn't any more. Part 7 is AWESOME. It's top tier as a Friday film in my view. It's also a perfect example of "I need more then gory kills" The MPAA slashed the kills in part 7 to shreds, but everything else is solid,. so the censored kills don't bother me. I love the characters. I love Tina. I love the music. I love the entire concept and idea of "Carrie vs Jason" and i think it's done very very well. The special effects are awesome. Jason is awesome in the movie. In fact it's my favorite Jason. I love part 7. It's a top Friday movie for me. The only issue I have with the movie is the MPAA ruining the kills, that is always gonna be the downside, even if it personally doesn't bother me, and the ending with the father. I know that was the exec/producer's idea, but I would of fought hard on that and said "put the sweater on the skeleton then?" and have Tina say "Daddy?" or make some comment about that being her father. Maybe have the skeleton tell her "Forgive your self Tina. I love you" etc. Like he suddenly pops back up and tells her that before falling back into the lake. Anything to justify making him a skeleton and not "confusing the audience". On the remake. Sadly, the only Friday movie I've ever seen in theaters. Not a fan at all. In fact I've never ever bothered to give it a rewatch. It's just mediocre and is a good example of why I have not liked a lot of modern horror for decades now. As you put it "everybody else is detestable, degenerate douchebags that you just want to see die" and I HATE that in modern horror. Especially slasher movies. That or they are totally interchangeable. They have zero personality, or just boring, and I never ever feel connected to the main characters...and to me....WHAT IS THE POINT?! What is the point of watching a slasher movie, if every single character is unlikable or uninteresting/mediocre?! When I watch a Friday movie I am like "Man, i want to part with you people." I don't want this or that character to die. Freddy vs Jason would probably be the bottom of the barrel for me. I don't like Jason. I don't like the way he looks, moves, or is acted. So as a Jason fan I don't like it. As a Elm street fan, I also don't like it. Freddy only kills one single person in the entire movie. We get pretty much zero really good dream sequences. The dream sequences are boring and medicore. "oh you used a red filter for the boiler room....and?" "Oh you made water flow everywhere for Jason" i mean, that's cool and everything. At first glance it looks nice, but it isn't the cool Alcie and wonderland stuff in part 3 or 4 or anything. The only Freddy kill in the movie is Freddy's dead territory. Which ruins it for me. So from a Friday fan perspective and from a Elm street perspective it largely fails. It's only redeeming factor in terms of both Jason and Freddy is the fact that Freddy is still being played by Robert Englund. But the dagger to the heart of this movie are not just the characters who are annoying and "mainstream" carbon copies of "What's hip in 2003" but the cringe inducing ACTING. The acting is absolutely atrocious, making it PAINFUL to even watch. Seriously. I can't rewatch FvsJ based purely on the bad acting, it's that cringe. The entire time I'd be going "OW! OW! Damn, that's bad!!!! AH! No, STOP! STOP! STOP IT! STOP IT! We don't have any more time. YOU GOT TO STOP IT! STOP IT! STTTTTTOOOOOOOOOPPPPP ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!" Love part 5. Been a favorite since I was a kid back in the mid 90's when I first started watching the series. The fact that it's Roy and not Jason never really bothered me. I love it. Super quotable and memorable dialog. Some of the best characters in the entire series. Great everything. I agree Halloween is leaps and bounds better then the original Friday the 13th. Hands down, Halloween wins that battle. But I fundamentally disagree with you saying A nightmare on elm street is better then Friday the 13th. The original Friday movie has gone up and up and up with time with me. I like it more and more and more. It's always a great watch. I love the original movie......A nightmare on elm street, not so much and that is because it is a Wes Craven movie. For some reason Wes Craven has always made really good movies but for what ever reason, they fall just short of greatness. I think Scream is his best film. The original A nightmare on elm street is pretty low on my list of slasher movies. I think it totally falls short being a great movie. It definitely has it's moments but for what ever reason it never totally sticks to landing. This is why when I watch an Elm street movie, it's always part 2, 3, and 4. Part 3....use to be my favorite of the franchise. It was either 5, 3, or 6. But after a while 3 went down for me. But the last time I watched it, it was awesome. Really loved it. But I can't recapture my love for Shelly and Vera where I am like "Man, I wish they had the time to have gotten together. That damn Jason!" I don't really get that feeling when I watch it anymore. But in terms of the 3D, i think it kind of helps the movie but also hurts the movie at the same time. For me, I think Friday the 13th part 3 is kind of weird for the franchise. Because it feels like it's a step down from the first two movies, but at the same time a step up from the first 2 movies, lol. And I do agree that Chris makes for a great final girl, and in fact part 3 has one of the best moments out of the entire franchise...when Chris is in that closet and finds the body with the knife in it and she comes out of the close swinging the knife at him. Not just the fact that Chris is doing that, but also the way that scene is shot and Jason backing away from her, etc. It's easily one of the best scenes in the entire franchise. As for "one of your placements being utter trash" Part 8. Part 8 should of been lower. Even though, again, I can enjoy it and get into it and there are several reasons to like it. But above the original movie? Above part 7? As for my own ranking. Too hard to decide.

It takes big swings that for me really land.

I am shocked that you don’t like Jason Goes to Hell. 😂 I would think if one movie was the mascot for “swing for the fences,” something you tend to favor, it would be that movie. 😂 So, you sharing your opinion on Jason Goes to Hell was a Roddy Piper moment for me: “just when you thought you had the answer, I change the questions!” 😂 I disagree that the original is overrated. It is a classic. A masterpiece. Friday the 13th has been my favorite franchise for over 30 years now, with Nightmare and Halloween very close seconds and thirds. I’m not easily surprised by opinions and rankings. I’ve seen them all over the place. Having 2-4 as your top three is great.

Jason is probably my least favorite horror icon, though bad ass he still is. Your list makes sense as far as I can tell. I think Jason in Space should have been ranked #1, though. It's so terrible it should just win. 🥸

Part V is the most pure slasher film in the entire Friday franchise. It understands it’s a trashy B movie, which they morphed into by 1985. It’s overhated, and out of the “new killer” movies like Wes Cravens New Nightmare and Halloween Ends, give me Roy Burns over The Demon and Corey Cunningham any day. It has all the bells and whistles like 4 and 6 have, just without Jason lol. The Tommy Jarvis trilogy are the ONLY Friday movies that matter to me. Even though I do adore Friday Part II and Freddy Vs. Jason as well. If I ever get my hands on that unrated Part 7, maybe that movie too. The rest can eff off, even though the final girl of part 3 is goated.

Well here's my ranking I do love my Friday the 13th movies. 12 Jason takes Manhattan or should really be called Jason takes a boat to Vancouver. 11 for me would have to be Jason goes to hell it just didn't feel like a Friday the 13th movie to me. 10 Freddy versus Jason only reason why I'm raking it like this is because it feels more like a nightmare on elm Street movie then a Friday the 13th. movie. 9 Friday the 13th 3D I mean I like the fact that Jason gets his hockey mask and there was a couple good kills in this movie but the special effects were horrible and the acting was terrible.8 Friday the 13th part 5 the beginning this had quite a few problems but there are more forgiving than the other movies. The one character I really do like in this movie was little Reggie. 7 Jason x Kane hodder did a really good job one of the best kills in the franchise was in this movie.6 Friday the 13th the new blood I think this was the best performance of Kane hodder as Jason but I think this would have moved up higher if the kills were not water down. 5 the og the original Friday the 13th it started it all it's a classic in some weird way I think Pamela Voorhees is more scary than Jason.4 Friday the 13th part 2 everything they did in the original they did a little better in this movie.3 the Friday the 13th remake I love the Jason I love everything in this movie. these to kind of go back and forth between 1 and 2 as of right now number 2 Friday the 13th part 4 the final chapter this movie was like perfect 5/5 for me and my number 1 for me is Friday the 13th part 6 Jason lives perfect another 5/5 for me.

For the most part I feel the Friday series is basically on the same level for me. With the exception of Jason takes a long boat ride to Vancouver the series has a fair to middling ranking for me. Part 4 is my favorite with 2, 3, 5 & 6 being what I look for in this series I actually do enjoy the remake with Hell and X being guilty pleasures. Part 7 is a shame, what could've been had the censors not had the heads up their behinds and of course 8 is dead last for me. The OG well unlike almost every other franchise this falls not as my favorite but in the 6th position, I respect the legacy but I have several issues with it to keep it in the middle of the pack.

Nice ranking Nick! I've always had a blindspot for Jason X and Jason goes to hell. Haven't watched them all the way through but here's my ranking of the rest of them: 10. Friday the 13th (2009) recently rewatched it and still don't feel strongly positive about it 9. Jason Takes Manhattan- one of my last pics to put on 8.The New Blood- love it! Just wish the mpaa didn't butcher it 7. OG- solid start with a solid ending 6. Freddy vs Jason- better Freddy movie than a Jason one. Still love it to death 5. The Final Chapter- memorable Jason 4. A New Beginning- admire how they pull a fast one on us, in a way I'm disappointed they retconned the killer ending 3. Jason Lives - Classic movie monster vibes for the win 2. Part III- the 3d gimmick is everything and this is the one I think of when it comes to F13 1. Part II- fuckin bring back sackhead Jason Shit we make me wanna watch Jason X now. Get prioritize it

I have always had a fondness for the Friday series. I saw many in the theaters when I was a teen. I knew then they were enjoyable garbage. I mean that in the best way. They were dumb fun. The further they went, the more ridiculous they got. But I do have to say that in my opinion, while Kane Hodder dominates as Jason, Derek Mears portrayed him as something different. He was a hunter and menacing. So in regards to the remake, I liked it for many reasons. The kills as you mentioned are brutal, especially the opening 20 minutes. They also took some of the better parts of the original first 4 movies and combined them into one. Most of the main characters were garbage, but the 2 leads, Mears, and some of the townspeople were pretty good. So the remake is higher on my list, but located more in the middle.

I loved Jason goes To Hell. It's batshit crazy. And I love Rusty Schwimmer. She's a fantastic actor & her in that movie really cracks me up. I met her at my first Horror Con (HorrorHound) in 2012 & she said, "Are you having fun? Is everyone you're meeting being nice to you?" And then she dropped her smile & said, "You let me know if anyone is rude to you. Because I will go over to their table & fuck them up." And I could tell, she was dead serious.

    12. Jason X - It just feels cheap & has the feel of a Syfy made movie. Some of the kills & characters are decent though. 5/10 11. Friday the 13th (1980) - I've just never been a big fan of this one. It's okay but I just prefer Jason as the killer. 6/10 10. Jason Goes To Hell - I think it's decent & it tried something different at least. 7/10 9. Friday the 13th Part 2 - I like it but I've always been a bigger fan of Jason from the later films with the hockey mask on. 8/10 8. Friday the 13th (2009) - Fun remake but I agree with you some of the characters in this are annoying. 8/10 7. Freddy vs. Jason - Fun movie. I just wish it focused a little more on Freddy & Jason actually fighting. Too much focus was on the other characters. I agree Freddy should've had more kills in it too. 8/10 6. A New Beginning - Very underrated. Just because it's not actually Jason doesn't make it bad. 8/10 5. The New Blood - Jason's best look by far, I just wish the MPAA didn't censor the kills so much. 8.5/10 4. Part 3 - I love this movie outside of thinking the first 20 minutes dragged on a little too much. 9/10 3. The Final Chapter - Great movie but the last time I watched it I felt like some parts dragged on a little. 9/10 2. Jason Lives - I could easily put this at #1. This & the one ahead of it have always been my favorites since I was a kid. 10/10 1. Jason Takes Manhattan - I know I'm in the minority on this but it's always been one of my favorites since I was a kid. I know 2/3rds of the movie takes place on a boat but I actually don't mind. I like the boat setting & then the last half hour in "New York" was fun too. I think this movie has some of the most underrated characters in the franchise. I don't understand why so many think the characters in this film sucked. Objectively I get it that it's not a "good" movie but on a horror movie Friday the 13th scale I love it. 10/10
