I bought one of these during the ice storm here in 1998 , it’s running in the garage as I type this . I’ve never used the electric starter it usually starts first pull even after all these years , great machine .
the newer versions of this generator use 20A CGFI plugs. Prone to sudden tripping. I had to change mine because reliability takes precedence over perceived safety.

No battery on that. However you can connect one to use electric start.
what are the starting and surge watts?
Auto throttle you keep off until the engine is warmed up according to the manual and it is used only in specific situations
