Just purchased one of these last Thursday, have about 300km on it now and loving it so far. Immediately bought 32" tires for it going on this week. Maybe I'm just used to older SxS's, but this thing is night and day vs stuff i've ridden before.
Sorry to say but those hp figures are at the CRANKSHAFT. I race CFMotos and on the dyno shave 16 of those hp on a stock unit. That’s the facts. Shocks are not Elkas but a elka stage 3 similar. The TFT is the instrument cluster and it’s very nice at least on the pre production unit I had a chance to sample.
I hear you! I didn't want to say anything in the video because it is a rumor and did not come from some "reliable expert source", but I heard that it will come in under $13,000. That would be a pretty low price tag for a "sporty side by side".
@@NavigateOffroad The zforce 1000 was 13999 and that was the same body as my zforce 800. Looks like they quit making the 1000 zforce and slapped the motor on this new body and called it a 950. Weird but bnb i think its very futuristic looking...im gonna say 15000 us
For their sake I hope its under $15,000. I am not sure they will be able to get the sales they probably want on a new style of CFMOTO with a price tag in that range....then again who knows, maybe i'm completely wrong!
Unfortunately, it has recently been discovered by dyno tests that the rear wheel HP is not the way they do it. We’ve all been dooped. A Zforce 800 only pumped out 38 HP at the rear wheels on the dyno. They claim it has 62-63 HP. Sorry for the mix up.
Thanks for the information Kevin, I just left a longer message in response to this topic under the conversation you and Krieger were having. Can I ask where you got the dyno test information? Is that a rumor or "something you have heard about", or have you actually seen the test results? I am trying to get a clear and accurate answer on this issue to help put it to bed, because I have been told for quite some time from many sources that CFMOTO measure hp at the wheels.
Navigate Offroad Look up Zforce/Uforce/Cforce Owners of Pennsylvania on FB. Bill Hazelett Walker shared info on that page about the dyno results. He is the page admin
I agree with the others. Stop with the wheel horsepower propaganda. If that was true the company would be proudly stating that. Go drive the vehicle and compare it to it’s competition, I see it as direct competition to the rzr 900, I think you’ll find the performance to be on par regardless of the HP number.
You know what's funny, Bryce? Within the same few hours of you leaving this comment, I have received other comments on a different video where I did not address the hp at the wheels and riders are up in arms that I did not mention it...ironic. My point is, no matter what everyone seems to be split on this issue. Many different sources have told me for quite a while that hp is measured at the wheels. Only in the last couple days have I learned this may or may not be true....the verdict is still out. What I can say, is that I am trying to get a solid answer from CFMOTO and hopefully get to the bottom of this officially...either way is fine with me, I just want the real answer so that we can all get on the same page (and so the real info is getting out there).
Hey Chris, I got an email today from CFMoto Usa regarding their HP claims. When asked weather it's wheel HP or crankshaft HP they said "Thank you for contacting CFMoto, The horsepower is measured directly at the crankshaft. Best Regards." Just thought I'd share that with you.
Krieger, Thanks for that feedback man! Ironically I just got a similiar response from CFMOTO Canada yesterday myself, haha! On a side note, I had an individual from CFMOTO Canada reach out too me who I have been talking with....waaaay more helpful than anyone from CFMOTO USA. I have had a lot of issues getting in contact with a real human from CFMOTO to assist me, which has been very irritating. CFMOTO Canada on the other hand, different story! So to anyone who works for CFMOTO Canada, thank you.
lol, well if it's not hating and meant to help can you please give me a little more detail in what you are referring too? Are you talking about how CFMOTO measures hp?
Yeah... you need to stop spreading that wheel HP crap. It is an outright lie. CFMoto does not claim their engines are rated at the wheel in any official literature. Their numbers are pretty much in line with what the other manufacturers list as crank HP. Can-Am's rotax 1000 has 75 HP and the 1000r has 100HP, you have to be kidding yourself that CFMoto could surpass a BRP motor. Plus its a SOHC engine so it is inherently less efficient than a prostar or rotax DOHC engine.
KriegerKrieg I don’t know when the false ratings began, but it’s been being tossed around for a few years. The CFMOTO 1000 is a SOHC? I didn’t know that. . The 800 is a DOHC.
@@kevmcd1752 According to their website they both are SOHC. Which is even more reason to doubt the WHP claim. I think more than anything it is a falsified post-purchase rationalization as to why they bought a lesser known and less reputable machine.
@@kevmcd1752 How do you like your Zforce, I joined a FB page for CFMoto, and it seems a lot have heat issues. But overall are good units, is this true?
KriegerKrieg The 800 is definitely a twin cam. I’ve adjusted my valves. 4 valves per cylinder. I like my machine. I mean, it’s no XP 1K or Can-Am X.3 but I’m surprised at just how rugged it is. As for overheating, that’s either caused by mud in the radiator or a faulty Thermo switch but is completely fixable
@@kevmcd1752 A single cam can run 4 valves though. If you look at the cylinder head for an 800 it clearly is a single cam. Part number is MICF0800-026100 online.mortch.com/image/cache/catalog/data/cf800/cfmoto-0800-026100-cylinder-head-2-rear-500x500.jpg Sorry I'm really bored.
Thanks, Adam. Yea I can understand that. Like I said, I keep going back and forth. I think it is really starting to grow on me though....then again, I think I might only like it because it's so different then everything else.
lol, I try to be brand unbiased brother. Plus I definitely think there is a place in the market for the CFMOTO. Why do you have such a distaste for them? Have you had a bad experience in the past?
@@NavigateOffroad I'm a mechanic at a dealership who sells them. The only reason to buy then is because you are cheap... and after you get them home 90% of everyone doesn't like them anymore. Mechanical problems and performance to comfort. They are years behind the competition.

It’s like any other machine it’s how you take care of it if ya don’t do your maintenance it’s not gonna last I don’t care what ya buy, yes by all means put it threw the mud over rocks the sand in water all that’s great but if you don’t inspect your machine or maintain your machine after every ride know matter who built it it won’t last period

Love it or hate it, at least they did go with a pretty unique design this time. I assume it's an intake also.
Agreed, you got to give it to them for that design!
I'm torn on the design too. Maybe it'll look better in person.
Agreed!
I've got one it's Awesome
Think for a 950 underpower and it's travel is not what it should compares to other models
Thanks for the input, Matt!
The front of the roll cage looks like it came straight from the Arctic cat line up
Now the bashers can't say it looks like everything else out there
Xp1000 makes 110hp. Clutching is very important in using that horsepower though.
Hey Timothious, agreed. The XP 1000 does have 110 hp. In this video though, I was talking about the RZR S 1000, which is not apart of the XP lineup.
Nice graphics 👍🏼
Thanks brother!
I think it looks kick ass and thousands less than the competition
please do a cfmoto atv update. looking at the 600 or a can am 570
It's look cool
Hey dude can you a review on Honda trx250x plz if you can or want
