PART 1: Building Out a Multi-Brand Collection - Rolf Lang, IWC, and More! | Collector Conversations

- A couple months ago, Tim Mosso put out a call to collectors to join us for an interview about their collections. Well, Richard Teevan was one of those people who answered and he brought some serious heat to the table. Over 40 watches from multiple different brands, Richard joined to talk what attracts him to collecting and how he likes to build out his collection.
On the table are watches from brands like Rolex, IWC, Panerai, F.P. Journe and other well established and known brands. But it doesn't stop there, as the collection features a wide array of price ranges and size. From Casio to Alexander Shorokhoff, Richard also has a taste for independents.
You will find Part II of this interview here: • PART 2: Omega Speedmas...

Richard's collection is truly inspiring! He's the type of collector that I aim to be: one with a distinct appreciation for unique, eclectic, and off-the-radar pieces of all price ranges. Can't wait to see part 2!
This is the kind of collector conversation I want to see. Chapeau
when you see yellow G sitting alongside moser and kari, you know this is genuine collector. respect.
Like the studio! Many more shots of the watches while guest chats would be great.
P Rao yes! I could barely see them.
Way too few shots of those glorious watches, bit of a shame
TheVerbalRemedy True.
Such a pleasure to listen to a genuine collector. Enjoyed the delight of owning a yellow G Shock and the irritation of missing on a Gronefeld :) Thanks Tim. Take care and stay safe.
Wow...Tim! kudos for letting everyday watch collectors come and share their stories & for making it a reality! All the watch collectors out there, including myself, don’t aim to show off their collection(s) but WatchBox teams are constantly talking watches day in and day out. You guys are true watch fanatics. In that context, of course every collector would want to share a story. Who else can do it better than Tim, urself! Man, your passion, knowledge, commitment for everything watches is what gets me hooked on to every episode that you make including the other WatchBox team(s). Keep it going 🥰
Love the independents and unique pieces. A huge step up. Great taste. ✔️
Super excited to watch this. Richard is great and has inspired me in my collecting through our watch group. His collection is perfect.
thks Andy! see u in the groups!
Tim, Nice pick for the inaugural collector conversation! No pretentiousness all passion. If this is a preview of what you have in store for this series I’m all in👍
Tim, my mom was actually the one that introduced me to watches, she gave me a little tiny Tag Heuer dive watch when I was single digit age (37 now). Recently I was in NYC (before CV19) and went watch shopping with her, upon my recommendation, she picked up the new Patek 24 automatic rose gold. Still talking watches with her 😉
such a nice guy....enjoyed to hear him...
Ok, when Tim displays the watch, show the damn watch! We know whose talking
Great interview and collection. A real collector and a real collection! Looked like fun for you both!
Great guest guys! Love the variety on hos collection plus the independent pieces. Nicely done! 👍🥃👍
" You want what you see" So True!
Great video!! So nice to see someone from the groups with Tim!! Kudos!!
This was a unique video. I saw another spectrum to watch collecting that I didn't think existed. In my youth I collected Independent comic books because I thought the stories were a lot better and there was more liberty with new characters. I need to see more Independent watch makers pieces.
This was great! Looking forward to part 2.
GREAT video. Awesome collection Richard.
Not a pretentious celebrity 👍
Awesome content , we just need more shots of the watches
Very well done, excellent content. Please invite more collectors when things settle down.
Richards a great guy with an amazing collection. Great job on the interview!
Woah strong collection
thank you for the content, the quality of this content deserves 10-100x more views
Great video! love this series
Fantastic conversation. Really like his collecting philosophy, probably because I have a similar approach. 😄 Saw some watches I also want to add to my collection like the orange Sixties, the Reverso and a lot more. Really enjoyed it!
Really interesting collection, nice to see someone who is not partisan to one brand, just buys what he likes 👍🏻
I rather buy 10 to 15 watches that I am gonna wear than 40 watches that I don’t know when am I going to wear.
A realy outstanding collection. I also started watch collecting from luxury brands 16 years ago. My first wristwatch with automatic caliber was a chronograph from Baume & Mercier.
very nice youtube! thank you both for this one
Hey Tim, could you list the independents that are in his collection? This gives love to the independents and allows us to research them! Amazing collection and show. This is exactly why we watch! No talk of Rolex and Patek. So many watches, so little time! Thanks!

Nice collection Richard, and great conversation. I should do one of these sometime!
Great episode!!
really nice collection, I can totally relate to it, this is great content Timo 🕶
LOVE my G-shock directly from the factory, cant beat it for $80.00 because its purple, great for blasting around town and light as feather, super accurate and quartz already to wear
It’s quite funny my mom also brought me into watchcollecting.
Bushfriend27 Interesting
That is one epic collection.
Great video - hope to see more of these
We have a whole playlist of collector conversations!

Tim's analogies crack me up...
Almost jumped on a railmaster with box and papers on Joma for $2,500. Just a steal!
So many watches, so few close-ups! This episode was torture! lol but this guy knows his shit. Wow
Great Collection Brother👊!!!
For any that want to see close-ups of Richard’s time pieces, check him out in the FB group, “Horology Talk” or “The Daily Wrist Watch Check(TDWWC)”
Super groups with even better guys like Richard👌🏼
Great vid Tim👊
Continued Success🍻

You da man RJP!!!! Also in the Gronefeld and H. Moser, Sarpeneva & Suf owners and fan groups, I created on FB!
I'm sad that every watch wasn't a vintage Rolex of some flavor. Just kidding.
BJJMark Hahaha it was refreshing for sure.
The dealer which advertise the white gold oyster flex is selling a CUSTOM model
Great collection, but as mentioned by many others we need more close watch shots. Perhaps loose the music as well,
I love your contents but please show more shots of watches..
The FP Journe is amazing
Nice collection but confusing; I bet he may not remember how many watches he have and also he may not know if one is missing.
I keep a spreadsheet- 15 columns including model, name, movement, description when bought ($ paid) links, movement particulars, thickness, lug width (strap sizes as i change up straps a lot). downloaded paid few bucks for an App called Watchee i recommend it great for storing watch info, times worn is really good to track, etc.. with a newer version can import a csv fiile (will just reformat my spreadsheet to match his format in CSV). so I know EXACTLY what I have, where it is stored, and if i lose or misplace one i am aware ;-)
I see a Zelos watch in there.
two Zelos ;-)
Good have been best if you took time to show the watches more.
When will we be seeing the Mark Cho conversation?
Also, enjoyed seeing some unique watch brands and a different collection. Great video.
We’re going to air that interview after some time has passed and Mark is back near his regular schedule.

@@the1916company Thanks. Something to look forward to! Stay safe.
Few shots of the collection. C'mon, you guys can do better with close ups. Tim, unbutton your jacket when you sit. Thank you
This could have been so great. Why not put a few more cameras in there and make an effort when it comes to perspectives and editing? Also: sound (music) editing is crap. You have a good guest and a good presenter - why ruin it with all this laziness?
Sad, that was a terrible job in showing the watches.
Great episode!
