    Nice to have the focus on CMNT going forward instead of the search for a head coach. It is too bad it has taken this long. Hope MLS throws in some $$ for a proper camp prior to the 2 upcoming friendlies, so he has a chance to put his stamp on this team. He can start by picking who will take any penalty-kicks in advance.

      Larin-David-Osorio-Davies-Eustaquio. those are your 5.
      He needs to focus on the terrible defense and a line that works together and can handle caliber teams...that is priority#1

      And who takes corners? I can't handle watching Davies butcher more corners. Please!

    As a fan, I'm looking forward to seeing if the team can compete with the Netherlands, France and Argentina. Big ask. Hit Chile and Peru on the break, and be clinical about it. That's a demand.

    This was supposed to be the main man for USMNT… Canada 🇨🇦 is about to play some good football with J. Marsh. I’m kind of jealous 😅

    • @andrew348
      @andrew348 21 день назад

      His system will never work at the national team level. It's too complex and he'll never convince all his players to press for 90 minutes. His system always has a short shelf life

      @@andrew348 maybe but that’s why managers have to learn from mistakes I assume, also premier league way more difficult than coaching Canada 🇨🇦. He will do a great job you’ll see.

    Probably the best case scenario in terms of potential coaching hires. Excellent choice!

    All the best! I was pulling for your US appointment but it was not in the cards so good luck as I aways pull for Canada as long as it's not against the US!

    I got very excited about this team in 2021 and then they started to self-destruct over matters that should not have been allowed to poison the team. I really hope Marsch and Blue can get everyone's heads on straight. Stop the CBA drama, CSB finger pointing, unrealistic equity objectives for the women, and all the other noise. Our boys needs to mature not only as a soccer team, but as individuals. The reality is that Canada is not a soccer nation and there is very limited revenue due to a lot of competition from other sports. Make the country proud and issues will fix themselves. I think Marsch is a great fit and if the players want it, they have the capability to see a SF berth at Copa America, a Final berth at the Gold Cup, and a R16 or even QF berth at the 2026 WC. Lofty goals yes, but achievable with the right focus and good management. Can't wait for June!!

      Who cares where the Manager is from? Performance on the field by players who qualify to play for Canada is what matters. I don't recall folks complaining that Herdman was English?
