Feel better soon! - To open a child-proof lid, you should set the bottle down on your desk, grip the lid firmly with your whole hand, push down quite forcefully and then slowly turn anti-clock-wise while still pressing down. It works for me. Good luck! Oh, the floral paintings are ever so lovely!
Hi Katie! I’ve been placing a small amount of Vaseline along the threads on the rim of all my mediums bottles and paint tubes and it has made a world of difference - lubricated and no more dried paint or medium to twist against! Thank you for all your videos! Been watching your channel for years :) Love from Portland Oregon!
I really like all of the pictures but I especially like the changes you made in the last one. Your decision was spot on. I hope you feel better very soon.
Love watching you paint 😍😍😍Please post a flower painting tutorial, also would love to know if you prefer water mixable oils to normal oil paint. Thanks for inspiring !!
Hi there, I would just like to share that water mixable oils are more blendable than acrylics because it does not dry as fast as acrylics, so you can take your time painting with them but also dries faster than traditional oils, which is good as well. You can mix it with both water, or oil like linseed oil too. And you don't need thinner to wash your brushes, you can wash them with water just like acrylics, so it's like having the best of both worlds. Hehe hope this helps 😊
Love your style! Do you use any gouache in sketch books,do you like it! Love yr eye make up what do you use? Have you ever painte d those sleepy horses,I think it would be a nice painting,so serene.
Loved this. Totally agree w you about the overworking vs "intense burst" - the intense burst feels more genuine. And I love how the last painting turned out. Just the right blend of greens and composition. I am inspired to try water mixable oils but if they smell I may have to wait until spring. My house is one big room and no place to shut things away. My grandmother painted in oils and thr smell reminds me of her but I can't be breathing it in 24/7. I have a very important art question : do you do your own nails or do you have them done 😁
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO LEARN YOUR METHOD BUT IT IS THE OIL I LOVE THE MOST - CAN YOU PUT OUT A SLOW VIDEO SHOWING HOW YOU DID THESE SMALL PAINTINGS WITH NARRATIVES?
I am not sure if she varnishes I have two or her works But then again I dont know anything about oils! This is just my assumption! :) Btw katie love your art!
I don't know for her personally, but its advised to varnish 3-6 months after all layers are completely dry in order to allow the painting to not crack over the years. The more and thicker layers, the longer you should wait to varnish
Katie Jobling s videos are so awesome to watch thank you for sharing your creative moments with us. I have made a channel about my art too maby u get some inspiration out of it too. happy sunday
You made me cringe when you started painting over the flower canvas because I thought it looked great. I was wrong; you made it better. I know that “magic” you mentioned about a work. If you lose it, forcing yourself to finish feels tedious. This explains the large stack of canvases in my office. 😄 I love your tunes. Where do you find them?
Its definitely not just you who struggles with child proof lids.. I had to break my liquin lid. Luckily I had a lid from an empty bottle to replace it.
so beautiful. I always want to paint flowers , and I enjoy all your floral paintings

Hello Katie. I am a big fan of you and your work. Any chance you will visit the U.S.? Perhaps a workshop?
You always cheer me up 😊 get well soon. We've both just had nasty colds 🤒🤧
Your work is simply amazing 💕
Have you ever painted orchids? I’d love to see a tutorial on orchids
Katie, what is the advantage of using water mixable oils over using acrylics or oils? What do you like about them better than the other two.

Child proof lids suck my will to live, lol great vlog, hope the sore throat was a false alarm! 💙
Would you make a video on varnishing your paintings? 💛💛💛
I am not sure if she varnishes I have two or her works But then again I dont know anything about oils! This is just my assumption! :) Btw katie love your art!
I was wondering if she coats her paintings with something ??
Beautiful, what can i say.🌺👍
Please have good ventilation to lessen any "harsh" paint aromas from getting to you. Your health is number one. Your paintings are all so beautiful.
Water mixable oils are ok, no spirits or thinners used.
I love water mixables as spirit gives me headaches and sickness.
keep smiling love your videos. i also paint 👍
Hope you feel better soon. How long do you wait to varnish these oil paintings.
I don't know for her personally, but its advised to varnish 3-6 months after all layers are completely dry in order to allow the painting to not crack over the years. The more and thicker layers, the longer you should wait to varnish
Yay I’m actually first! I love you and your art Katie
Wahoo 🙌🏻😊 thank you!
🍃♥️🍃
I agree that an overdone piece is not my favorite stage......something about reaching that just right stage like a baker making cookies
❤
Those liqiun bottles are rediculously hard to open. I actually avoid those products for that reason and go with Gamblin mediums instead.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
Katie Jobling s videos are so awesome to watch thank you for sharing your creative moments with us. I have made a channel about my art too maby u get some inspiration out of it too. happy sunday
Excuse my ignorance! What is your other favorite thing that you enjoy doing?
You made me cringe when you started painting over the flower canvas because I thought it looked great. I was wrong; you made it better. I know that “magic” you mentioned about a work. If you lose it, forcing yourself to finish feels tedious. This explains the large stack of canvases in my office. 😄 I love your tunes. Where do you find them?
Nice channal👍👍
Nice painting idol iwanna pants its me
i hate childproof lids...
Its definitely not just you who struggles with child proof lids.. I had to break my liquin lid. Luckily I had a lid from an empty bottle to replace it.
The amount of W&N products I have that are sat completely unopened 🤣 probably part of their marketing scheme!
