The explanation of Loudness Penalty here at 12:00 was helpful. I personally got disenchanted with the idea when listening to your explanation that we should not specifically target the penalty loudness of 0 and discouraged also by listening to current popular music out today on the services and hearing how loud they still are but still feel somewhat dynamic (perhaps not as much as it could be).

Thanks for watching Michael! On my side, if my master ends up at an average of - 1LP to -2LP according to this tool, if it sound's good, that doesn't bother me at all. You'll see by using this tool you won't be able to reach 0 on all platforms anyway. But like Ian said, if you end up at around -6LP, maybe you should reconsider a few things. Have you tried the LPA yet? Thanks for your input brother!

That could actually be a good topic for a Live Stream

Salut Chris! VIDEO REQUEST!!! :) Can you please make a walkthrough of how you would set up a vocal channel in Cubase when the purpose is specifically to stream a "live vocal performance" (with monitoring enabled) to OBS? What would that channel look like in terms of inserts, sends, channel strip...what do I need to put on that track, and, in what order so that the vocals sound great? Also, what needs to go on the Master bus for it to sound as good as possible when it leaves Cubase for OBS? (I'm guessing a limiter?) So in simpler terms: if I came to your studio to stream myself singing one song, how would you setup my vox channel and the master out?
For newbies like me, I feel such a video would be very informative given how many singers now want to live stream their "living room concerts"...

Salut Alain, this is actually a good idea... I just have to learn more about OBS though but I like the idea!

Chris Selim - Mixdown Online haha, good.i can tell u I spent days trying to send a live vocal with effects to OBS from cubase 9.5 and finally got it to work thanks to Voxengo Recorder plugin on a master out (w jBridge)...but i want to make my vocals sound sweet so I'm not sure about what plugins should be included and in what order... I guess in a way it's like setting up a console for a live performance! I don't even know if a compressor should be used lol! I look forward to learning more from you!
