I've noticed Honda makes rev-happy engines (like the f20c and the K20), or at least they used to. I don't know how the new ones are.
I have never ever seen Faizy so much excited while driving any of the card he has reviewed so far. I can imagine what it feels to be there in an Type 2 Honda VTec. I have 1999 model Type 2 Honda 1.3 and it's still serving me well even after 197000 kms. Stock engine, original clutch and still every thing original about it. While I am typing this, tears of joy is running down my cheeks. My baby she even now redlines at 7500 rpm. 1st gear 60, 2nd gear 105. I just can't imagine how you felt on the VTec. Honda, why don't you make cars like that anymore. The car manufacturers are making performance machines but at huge price tag and definitely at the cost of reliability. Keep reviewing like this Faizy and God bless.

Faisal, if you go Malaysia or Japan or Vietnam, try putting your hands on the Honda 'CIVIC FD2 TYPE R' This particular model, if it's well taken care of, you'll forget all the Vtecs you've ever drove till date. That Civic FD2 TYPE R is limited to a few countries. It's insane and absolutely thrusts the car as if it has a rocket launcher to it. It's NATURALLY ASPIRATED VTEC with 'R DNA' ❤️

U shouldn't have blurred the speedometer , as not everyone can imitate it coz none has that VTEC power and it also gives us the perspective of what speed it does at different gear ratio so that we could also experience the joy which u do of driving such a awesome car .....

The D15 isn't the best VTEC from Honda especially compared to B16, B18, K20 etc but VTEC is VTEC and it's still better than non-Honda engines
Actually its nt an D15..Engine code for this one Starting from B15..its only available in asian market..its an variation of D15B

I have a garage just near where I live and he owns this V-tec Honda City (mint condition). He always brings it on Sunday evenings to the garage, gives it a good wash and then wheel spins all the way and leaves. Man can't believe this is what Honda gave us in 2000's 🤤

I had owned this car a few years back and in my ownership of 7-8 years i was approached 4-5 times by random unknown guys asking me if i wanted to sell my car… i just sold my HC was because of non availability of spare parts in aftermarket

This car has personally a lot of nostalgic value. 🥲 My dad had one, bought new back in 2002 and had for almost a decade. Also deserves a special mention because this particular model with the manual transmission is where I learnt the ABCs of driving too.

the car was ahead of its time... like seriously so many things like arm rest at back arm rest plus space to keep stuff in driver seat, an awesome engine, same goes with honda civic when it was launched
I have this car and thoroughly enjoy it on the highway or backroads but it's a pussy in the city traffic. No power under 4000 rpm. Mine is 2003 but I still love the design, its one of the best design/handling package for this price imo!
Isn't the 2003 model based on the first generation Honda Fit? It was a radical change at the time for the marque, if I remember correctly.

This car is one of my favourites what a car this was and this was a time when Honda cared about building drivers cars unlike today’s Honda cars that are sort of boring in my opinion.
