- 15 years after it went out of production the Type 2 Honda City VTEC remains a firm favourite of road and race tuners in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged form. In Bangalore Joel Joseph and his Race Concepts outfit have been tuning City VTECs both in naturally aspirated and turbocharged form. The upgrades start from Stage 1 for the naturally aspirated City all the way to over 400bhp for the turbo VTEC.
On the wrong side of lunacy however are these, the fastest City VTECs in the world - including the ITC-spec race car driven by Sanjay Balu to multiple Indian Touring Car victories

Depends on the car. Easy to make power on a car that's already turbocharged. Completely different story on NA motors.

How does one get to learn all this stuff? is there a source or something? like suspension, its types, how it works and all, same for all parts...? I am a beginner please help.
Changing and putting on parts doesn't do much. You have to tune, change the ecu or remap it so that you utilize those parts totally. Start by changing the tyres suspension and exhaust, adding on cold air intake or performance air intake on the engine Order online the performance version of each parts for your car. Hopefully it will be available. But Putting on turbo charger and supercharger, changing the crankshaft, camshaft, pistons and all. You need to have a very thorough knowledge of tuning and you need to remap the stock ecu or just change with the one that corresponds to those parameters you have added on your engine or else you will blow up the engine. I recommend donut media channel. If you want to have some idea. Btw I'm no expert. I learned from those type of channels. I'm also looking ahead for my first project car.

Hondas only gave FF... except for nsx.. only nsx had rwd.. as it was mid engine.. all other Hondas r usually fwd
@@adyj7453 nope, the s2000 has rwd too. Many early Hondas were also rwd. Acuras and many Honda SUVs also come in AWD options abroad.

Aparently no one over here has ever got work done from joel here. No doubt he makes amazing cars but his builds are extremely unreliable, overpriced and the way he treats his customers after the pocket is filled is something to laugh about. Don't believe me? Check out Indian car community forms like teambhp,xbhp etc.

Very true.. I have had similar experience with when I went to him for upgrading my bike (R15) with big bore kit. What a waste of time, money and energy it was. His experiment with the bikes are failure.
I can attest that you are right. got a FFE from him, and glasswool burnt out in just 3 months and it became undrivably loud. when I returned to discuss other extensive works i had planned, he was not present despite repeated calls to schedule the time & one of the folks in his workshop took my car out for a testdrive, drive it overconfidently and ended up damaging the door on the gate simply because he was impatient to wait for the watchman to open it wider. he wiped off the paint from the gate stuck to my car, left the dent as it was and handed the fallen off trim piece in my hand. horrible experience. but i am thankful i had it. left immediately to spend the 2Lakh with the guys at Tvara to do up my car.
