I've played plenty of Mortal Kombat over the years, and Sub Zero was definitely one of my go to choices to drive people crazy when I picked a fighter. Sub Zero is an iconic member of the lineup and if you want to pull off a FATALITY I think this Dungeons and Dragons build might be able to pull it off.

The Elemental Adept Feat has the "Prerequisite: The ability to cast at least one spell". You started as a Monk; so you could have not taken this Feat as a Variant Human.
Yeah, however DnD Beyond still allowed you to do it, so I just went with it
@@dndbuilds a valid reason, but you can always just swap the two feats to play it by the books if needed
I would only pick Resilience first, then pick Elemental Adept later when i would got more spells. But besides that, great Build! : )
You're the Chadest D&D Man I know
Still hoping for Alfred Pennyworth
Mastermind rogue, 3 level of lore bard. Cortier background.
You're welcome.
Great video. I'd love to see you make Archer Emiya from fate stay night.
Suggestion: Usato or Rose from _The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic._
I love the idea of being in PvP, having the opponent on death saves, and wildshaping into a polar bear to chew 'em up. Animality!
Still hoping for the Highlander and the Beastmaster from the 70s 80s movie
Just built this on dndbeyond, looks like fun to play. It’s in my que to use in AL. A bit niche in some areas, but sometimes those characters really shine.
I would wait until lvl 4 before doing elemental adept though, as it would do nothing for 2 levels.
Have to say, I was not expecting the ass dragon monk, but you made it work. Nice build!
MK Scorpion and Sub Zero builds ... Who wins? Who's Next?
A Wang Ling from Daily Life of the Immortal King build would be awesome
Very cool build. Not too similar to your Scorpion build.
I'd love to see Cocytus from Overlord, please.
I think there's variation where you could have gone with Sorcerer instead of Druid and maybe you could have worked in some Rogue...but that's small potatoes. I think it'd have been more true to the video game to be a little less min-max witha balance between STR and CON.
All that is nitpicky though. Great build.
Would love a Sans from undertale build
I think this is attempt #4 of asking for Escanor or any character from Chrono Trigger. I’ve lost count 🤷🏻♂️
Escanor is a Celestial Warlock with Rune Knight levels, maybe pick up Fireball or similar
Here is my take on this build:
POINT BUY:8 15 15 8 15 8
The race will be a Variant human for thematic purposes, but this is sub-optimal since we will be taking ASIs. Take Eladrin if you want a better pick, imo.
The feat we will take is fey touched(wisdom), giving us a teleport and another spell to add to our spell list. There isn’t anything that makes loads of thematic sense so I would take bless, bane, or silvery barbs.
Race: 8 16 16 8 16 8
Level 1:Fighter(1):
Starting here to get a con save. Use a finesse/ranged weapon and medium armor for level 1 if you play this.
Take the unarmed fighting fighting style.
Level 2-4: Way of the Ascendant Dragon monk(1-3):
At level 2, take off your armor and use unarmored defense. You can now begin attacking only with your fists.
We are behind on extra attack but we are dealing descent damage because of martial arts+unarmed fighter.
Ascendant dragon will let us overcome resistance/immunity to non-magic bludgeoning/piercing/slashing damage by letting us convert it all to cold damage. It also gives us the breath weapon, but we probably won’t use it very often.
Level 5-20: Swarmkeeper ranger(1-16)
Take favored foe for when you don’t want to use your spell slots on a concentration spell, and deft explorer and pirmal awareness for their numerous benefits. Also take nature’s Veil.
Take the Druidic warrior fighting style, simply because no others are helpful. Grab Thorn Whip and Frostbite for the odd occasion they might come in handy, which may be quite often.
You’ll want to keep both of your hands free, so use a components pouch rather than a druidic focus.
Flavor your swarm to look like a cloud of snow/ice (choosing the appearance of your swarm is RAW).
All of the spells this subclass will give us work as ice themes spells with little/no flavouring.
More teleports are also good.
Take whatever spells you like (hunter’s mark is bad don’t take it), I recommend picking up some of:
. Absorb elements
. Zephyr strike
. Spike growth
. pass without trace
. water walk
. wind wall
. summon elemental (it can look like one of your ice clones)
For your ASIs:
At level 4, take a +2 dex. More AC and more damage is better for this build than any feat at this point. Metalevel adept’s re-rolling is worse than a +1 to hit and damage and enemies that resist cold are rare. If someone does resist cold, and non-magical bludgeoning/piercing/slashing, just bite the bullet and use a different element.
Level 8: +2 wis. Better save DCs and more AC.
Level 12: +2 dex. Better damage and more AC.
Level 16:
RESOURCES:
1st level spell slots: 4
2nd level spell slots: 3
3rd level spell slots: 3
4th level spell slots: 2
Fey touched: 1 free spell
Favoured foe: 6
Primal Awareness: 1 free spell
Nature’s Veil: 6
Breath of the Dragon: 6
Ki points: 3
Hit die: 17d10, 3d8
You have plenty of resources to expend over an adventuring day, + some unlimited stuff (like the main swarmkeeper feature) so you will never find yourself out of options. The great ranger spell list and favoured foe together will make sure you always have something to concentrate on (not hunter’s mark). Your spells and features both give you a choice between dealing more damage or providing battlefield control.
This build is more focused on enhancing your martial abilities with subclass features and some spells that are all/ can all be flavored as cold, rather than focusing on ice spells.
I didn’t bother specifying skill proficiencies or expertise but pick whichever you want. Stealth and perception are good and work well with this build.
Still gonna push Raikou from Fate/Grand Order cause it feels like a crazy fun build
If you've ever read Barb and JC Hendee's "Noble Dead" Saga, building the anmaglahk would be cool
Can you do clive from ff16 please ive always wanted to build a character like clive who can transform into infrite
Druid? I always find Sub Zero to be better represented as a sorcerer
I'd probably dip out of monk at lvl 5 or 6 to get the casting online sooner, and pump wisdom to max first as it would raise AC, spell save dc, boosts the shillelagh damage you'll be using after you use shape water to make a beat stick out of ice, and increase the number of spells available. Ice powers are the name of the game, and while I do love punching things, casting basic ice knife when your other party members just unlocked their 5th level spells feels bad in the play testing I did with my group. I also found War Caster to be more useful than Resilient, as it allowed me to lock down a provoking target with ice-based CC in addition to offering advantage on concentration
Could u do q video for Rain too? Or even better just all the ninjas! I also would like to see someone like Goro, Motaro or Shujinko
Video 1 of asking for you to do Uncle Iroh
Bro, the feat elemental adept just affect spells. Thus, any frozen hand to hand attack as a Monk won't be buffed by this feat. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also part 3 of asking for halo spartan build
Do alastor(hazbin hotel)
can you make suzaku form fairy tail
Day 9 of asking for Johnny Joestar build, from Jojo Part 7
Can you do a gildarts from fairytale
Have u try kamen rider in D&D
1 minut gang
I would murder loved ones to see a James Stark/Sandman Slim build ... 😈
Please do a build for Korpi from the film SISU
This video sparked a Reddit thread regarding how bad the build is, and after watching the video I can see why.
It's okay to make a build for pure thematics. But if you end up sacrificing so much mechanically (as with this build) that you fall behind the rest of the table, you're not going to have an enjoyable playing experience.
I don't feel like you give up a lot with this build, and I didn't know it warranted sparking a reddit thread about how bad it is lol (is kind of love to see it). You get a solid amount of spellcasting, plenty of control, your martial arts di doesn't go up but that's not the end of the world, plus a lot of the pictures that you would get at higher levels of monk has already covered by the spell casting. All while not worrying about too many ability scores, since all of your abilities can rely on wisdom.
@@dndbuilds Personally, I wouldn't make a thread about it either because it's not *that* bad. But it is bad. You gain nothing of import from taking levels in druid, you just end up making yourself a mediocre monk and an even worse druid.
