- This is my current layout and one year review of the Milwaukee Packout drawers (two drawer and three drawer) after purchasing them. Milwaukee's Packout system is a rugged job site system of organizers in a wide variety of styles and shapes designed with contractors in mind. Check out how I have been using them for this past year.

What do you all think of the Milwaukee Packout Drawers? Have they lived up to your expectations?
Awesome in depth, informative review. Not only on the topic at hand but for alot of the tools you carry in it. Not often do I watch a video start to finish but I did with this one.... followed!
Thank you, I really appreciate that. Hopefully my future videos prove to be equally informative and useful. 👍🏻
Thanks. Helpful to see what the real life capacities are for each drawer size.
Glad it was helpful. 👍🏻
I have the new 3 drawer that has one big drawer on the bottom and 2 small drawers on top. The bottom drawer drags when empty. I noticed reinforcing the bottoms was one of your gripes and I'm also concerned about a bow at some point. I'm glad you said you have bowing issues. I checked out all 4 packout drawers tonight and I noticed the two new ones both have the bottom drawer drag when empty. The two older ones, the ones you have do not so now that I know they still will drag, which has me thinking I might look at the flex drawer system. I'd like to be able to attached to my pack out if needed, but the next one I get will be more of a stationary one and I'm sure I could rig it to the packout worktop somehow.
I am sure there are ways of modifying them to accept packout boxes, there seems to be a whole independent market built around packout accessories. Mine have indeed started dragging, could be from overloading but I tried not to do that. I like the packout drawers but I think this is one area where they could use some redesign/improvement. 👍🏻 Another good option for drawers may be the Dewalt solution. Also Klein and Toughbuilt are getting into that space but I am not sure if they have drawers yet or what their quality is like. Sorry to hear that yours are dragging already. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@garnerreviews I looked at the Dewalt drawers and I have to say, I think they are built better then the Packout and I don't believe the drawers will drag. The type of plastics they use seems to be more solid even though I know their boxes themselves are not as strong as Packout boxes lol
Your welcome.
@@tgltoday2717The Dewalt drawers do seem to be well designed. Too bad Milwaukee missed the mark on the drawers a bit. Not horrible but they could be better.
So far so good. Only a few months in tho so time will tell.
Glad to hear that they have been good for you so far. Do you have other Packout boxes as well?
Klein drawers seems to have more reinforcement. Just bought into the pack out system a lot of versatility, however did not purchase the drawers , I’m going to wait hoping Milwaukee designs a reinforced drawer system. It’s a lot of money spent on something that seems a considerable amount of pack-out users complain about.. until then Ridgid especially for the price seems more acceptable drawer system to live with. Especially Home Depot having a big Ridgid Modular sale. So a combination of Packout boxes and Ridgid drawers seems like a good compromise.
I wish Milwaukee would address the draw sag, I completely agree that it is a lot of money for a common issue experienced by many people. Interesting that you think the Klein drawers have more reinforcement. I don't have experience with them or the Rigid but maybe I will have to check them out. 👍🏻
Bosch!👍👍👍
They are great tools. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching and commenting
Milwaukee should make a drawer set with different height drawers in the same set
I know they just announced some new drawer Packouts but I haven’t seen them yet to know what their newest offering is like. That would be really handy though. 👍🏻
@@garnerreviews I just searched it and they have come out with a 4 x skinny drawer set and a 2 x skinny plus 1 large in the same set, which would be awesome.

They do now. It has two of the 3 drawer depth drawers, and one of the 2 drawer depth drawers.
@@johnd9357 Thanks for sharing. I was wondering what their new offerings were like. Sounds like it could be a decent match. 👍🏻
1 year review of a Milwaukee packout that has never left the garage with a bunch of brand new free tools never used. 😂
😂 What can I say, it is hard being a RUclips baller. 😂 Thanks for watching.
@@garnerreviews I would do it too if I could. I think your videos would be much better with a little more editing.
I completely agree and thanks for the honest critique. It is an area that I am trying to learn about and improve on. 👍🏻
The drawer's bottom sagging and rubbing keep me from buying them. :( They do that with little pressure even if they are new. I tested that at home depot, I slided the drawer in and out while pressing the bottom with my fingers and it was rubbing against the drawer underneath it. It's a shame.
It really is a shame that the drawers aren’t a little better. Hopefully they have improvements planned or being worked on. I am actually excited to check out the new ToughBuilt StackTech system. Looks like it could be a strong contender with lots of great products coming in 2024. 👍🏻
Greas the rails myfriend 😊
Not a bad idea at all. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻 Maybe I will throw a little SuperLube on them and see what happens. I still think the bottoms are dragging a bit but some grease couldn’t hurt.
@@garnerreviews superlube is nlgi2 afaik so it should do the job👍
I'd use a dry lube like graphite or something. Around here is super dusty, maybe not where youre from...but either way you don't want dirt to stick in a greasy grease
Thought this was a Milwaukee packout 1 year review.
That's what the intention was along with showing the current layout of tools after a year of use and discovering what worked best for me. Did I miss some details you would like to know?
I purchased Milwaukee PACKOUT systems. But I switched back to dewalt toughsystem. Dewalt is made in USA. Milwaukee PACKOUT made in Israel, says so on the label. I won’t be part of genocide! I returned all of it!
If you don’t want to buy it, that’s fine but this isn’t the place to start a discussion on your political opinion.
Us punch hole 😁 for ur sand paper
Love the idea. Thanks for sharing that. 👍🏻
7 minutes in and you've hardly talked about the drawers. If I'd wanted to learn about Makita batteries or Bosch sanders, I'd have looked for videos on those subjects.
Yeah, I probably did some rambling while showing the drawers and the contents within. My goal was to show what I was using the drawers for, the type and amounts of things you may want to store in these drawers and the things I noticed while using them. Sorry if I lost ya on the ramblings of the contents within.
