Wera Zyklop Pocket : First Impression
Which one would you get if money aint the issue? Festool one? Iv heard that Hilti and Mafell might be even better. Im not a new woodworker but iv been doing 20y stuff by basically hands. Making knife handles and so on. Currently moving to make tables and I need a drill system which can last atleast next 5-10years. Thx
It's a copper alloy bushing. That must be a high quality tool.
I like wera tools but I have noticed a common theme with everything I have purchased from them and that is there is always a simple thing that compromise every product, I get you can't always have everything but there is always something simple with every product I have bought from them that would make it that much better but its almost deliberate on there side to leave you with a thought of " I wish they put this" or "I wish they had done that" to the point you start looking at other brands.
How well do the 2.0 batteries do on runtime? I like the thought of this majors impact with the lightweight batteries.
I just got the Hazet 760-18 pliers. I do like the feel of them. I think the Knipex are still superior but they are the best quality I've had compared to my knipex. Avoid NWS. They rust easily and dont seem very great. For the money i would say to stay with knipex
To me Bosch is not the best bang for your back because I.ve had 2 of those and they both had problems after a shot usage while with the same thing. The mechanism that does the interchanging of various heads kept getting lose and there was nothing I could do to get it fixed !!!
Still only 180 nm Makita asleep again the Dewalt 887 is 205 and out for years their Dewalt newest model is 282 nm that’s over 10 nm stronger than the Makita so Makita having a very nice sleep just like there 40 v batteries not fitting any lxt tools
But biggest problem is it’s not much more power
still got the old mp3. I have the same scissors and placed them in the same place. I replaced my pb swiss ratched with the the non ratcheting wiha 26one because the bits lock so well. I don‘t care the bits are proprietary as I don‘t cary a drill when I carry this.
Sounds like a nice setup. That Wiha packs a lot of options which is really nice, definitely means you can get a lot done with less bags. 👍🏻
Hey any chance that mp1x fits inside the middle open area of the tp6 for ease of carrying both at the same time? Thanks
Good question. It may fit if there were no tools in it, or maybe the front panel was removed. I will have to check it out more throughly and get back to you. 👍🏻
So much better with no background music!
Glad you liked it. 👍🏻
Best demo of this tool of them all. I have EGO and people are knocking this latest multi-tool, but based on your video, it will do what I need it to do. I don't need it to be a snowblower. Just something I can use to quickly blow out my garage parking area and the mailbox.
I think it would work well for that as long as it isn’t too deep. 👍🏻 Sometimes people expect a little more than is reasonable, but this really does a good job for its intended purpose. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I like the PB Swiss ratcheting screwdrivers for the Swiss grip handles. In fact, I like the Swiss grip so much I don’t want any other grips. I will even sacrifice the convenience of having bits in the handle. I have a small nylon carrying case for 1/4” bits. I simply place the bits I use most commonly into the nylons case. I’m not spending cash money on PB Swiss demolition screwdrivers. The idea of smacking a PB Swiss screwdriver with a hammer or mallet is akin to abuse. I can purchase a $9.00 demolition screwdriver to whack without cringing.
🤣 I hear ya on the demolition drivers, it makes me cringe a little too. But they are built for it and I don’t ever question if they are going to hold up to the task. I really love the Swiss grip too, definitely my favorite grip that I have personally used. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Go over the modes
I will try to do a short of that soon. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching and commenting.
That’s why y’all say it’s heavy. Why ru picking it up just drag it back
😂 Good point. I would like to say I just wanted to arm workout but that would be lying. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching and commenting.
I would suggest you go for Koken tools. They are made in Japan and would last a lifetime.
Great suggestion and it is what I am going to do. I bought a couple items from KoKen to see what it was like and I was sold. Top notch quality. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching and commenting.
Yea, it does look like it is made for lighter.
It definitely is. It is a well thought out product, would definitely recommend. 👍🏻
What happened to the deck build videos?
Great question. Unfortunately part of the videos could not be used due to products being in prototype phases. If that changes I should have the green light to release them. Thanks for watching and hopefully I can get some build videos out soon. 👍🏻
Nice review, love the features on this thing. Such a handy idea!
Thanks bud. Pretty nice piece of kit.
They suck
Have you tried them? I never did purchase and try them. I don’t think I have ever seen them again at Lowe’s.
Hello, I'm writing from Santiago de Chile and yesterday I bought the Bosch GSA 18volt 180 LI reciprocating saw on sale at a store in Santiago de Chile. I haven't used it yet but I found it to be spectacular, very robust and powerful, with a lot of force, and I only tried it. I think it will help me a lot in electrical and plumbing work... the offer included the two 4 amp batteries and the charger, but I also have an 8 amp battery... best regards from Santiago de Chile 🇨🇱🛠️🛠️💪😎 best regards, Jaime...
Thanks for sharing that and for watching. I think you are going to like this saw, I still am impressed with mine when I use it. Should definitely be handy when doing plumbing and electrical. 👍🏻
SK USA or a hard pass for me . . .
Fair enough. It is always kind of strange when a brand that is well known for USA made tools begins making stuff overseas for cheap pricing.
Bad review. You need to be a painter to give a better impression on that backpack. Obviously you got all that for free for promotion. You gotta talk about what else you can fit in it. And all those scrapers you have packed in like that is funny!!! You can tell you don’t know what you’re doing. But ya. You can get a wireless charger and connect on the go plus you can load so much more in that pack it’s crazy. Do better man
Nice work, thank you
You’re welcome, thank you for watching and commenting. 👍🏻
Are the Wera screwdrivers magnetic?
I don’t believe they are. Wera likes to use there laser cut tips that add a gripping surface to help hold and bite into screws. But they definitely sell a magnetizer if you want to make their screwdrivers magnetic. 👍🏻
Does it run a framing nail gun? I have a small car and I can’t hual any more stuff around. The size of that thing is perfect for my limited space
Great question. No, this will not be sufficient for a framing nail gun. You may be able to find a similar sized option from Makita or Metabo HPT that would run a framing nailer. If size is a real concern and you don’t mind running a heavier framing gun, you could also look at the cordless options that are out there. 👍🏻
Is the Autoclean worth it for a home workshop in woodworking and maybe fibreglass and sanding paint?
Great question. The Autoclean feature is really nice, and helps with all sanding tasks. However I think this particular machine and its bigger brother are really geared towards drywall sanding. I am not sure how fine fiberglass dust is but my guess is that you would be equally well served with one of the other Festool options as well. One question for you, do you have Festool tools as well or are you using a different brand?
Thanks for the review, I agree with all you said, I believe not overloading them will prevent the bottom sagging and catching when opening. I wish they could come with more divider by default. On a side note I have been using the Frankling stud finder for a while and it’s the best so far in my opinion 😉
Agree with you on all of that. I am excited that Makita has entered the market with new boxes too, should help drive innovation from all companies. 👍🏻 The Franklin has been great for me as well.
Just got mine myself. Cant wait to try it out. 28" bar.
It has been a great saw for me, I haven’t been able to use it as often as I would like but it performs every time I fire it up. Thanks for watching and commenting and let me know what you think of it once you have ran it. 👍🏻
Listen, I love Festool. But have you heard of toe screwing
Where is the fun in that? 😂 Definitely could have toe screwed but I figured since I have the attachment, I might as well use it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I was given this set. Small and could be used in a bicycle tool kit, or in the glove box of your car. You can get a set for half the price. You're paying for German quality.
Spot on. Definitely paying for quality, but if you need something more affordable there are other options. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I never though anybody was going to be able to pronounce Hazet so wierdly!
😂 Glad I could crush your expectations. How should it be pronounced?
I just got mine today. I also have a soft impact. Which is nice but lacks power. Really nice for finish screes etc. The xdt 19 is really good as well. I have 1 of those also.
You have a nice collection of impacts! I would really like to add the hydraulic driver to my collection for finish work. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching and commenting.
How much sir in phillipines
Unfortunately I can’t say. Wish I could help but I would suggest looking at eBay for someone who is willing to ship to you.
Festool tpc is a good drill and a very quite one.
I really like it, currently the drill I use the most. It does seem quiet in normal use. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Probably one of my favorite tools ever, makes me happy everytime I use it
Totally with you! Such a great tool. 👍🏻
That’s legit, like a mini mill
Yes indeed! Pretty awesome tool and attachments. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching
You should check out the Linus tech tips precision driver, they’ve copied the pb Swiss design for bit holding and it seems like a quality tool
Thanks for sharing that. I will check it out when I get the chance. 👍🏻
Impressive how expensive are those batteries? Do you have to use metabo brand batteries?
Yes, you will need to use Metabo HPT Multi Volt batteries. They are inline with most other brands in turn of cost. Definitely keep an eye for sales on them.
Thanks, love to learn about new made in Japan products
Your welcome! 👍🏻
Not even going to go over rhe grip or fearures?
Sorry, tried to show the ratcheting feature as well as a couple of others. If you would like to see more about this screwdriver check out this video : ruclips.net/video/VaJ7wDC1XOU/видео.html Thanks for watching and commenting.
It would be much more useful if it were 11 instead of 12. 12 is not used very much, but 11 is used very often. My choices would be 5.5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13 and 15 if there is room (M3, M4, M5, M6, M7, M8 and 15 for some machines).
It would be easy to swap the 12 for an 11, although the holder would still be marked with 12. Would be neat if Wera sold the case without the markings and let people build their own kits. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@garnerreviews I bought the 11. Waiting for the 15.
@@Emrullah_BASERNice! Let me know how you like it once you get it customized. 👍🏻
@@garnerreviewsI'm not sure since the 15 hasn't arrived yet, but it probably won't fit. But if it did, as I mentioned in my first message, I would want to take out the 6 and 12 and put in the 11 and 15. I keep them in a small bag in the car, I'll keep the ones that don't fit next to them.
I wish it was a blade left saw
I prefer blade left as well, but this saw has a decent sight line for me at least so it is very usable. 👍🏻
@@garnerreviewsThanks for replying
I don’t like the freak I personally have both the bosh power button settings I’m not working after 2 months and has no power compare to the Milwaukee
Sorry to hear about the button not working, I would hope that you sent it back to Bosch to have it fixed. The Freak isn't for everyone as everyone has their own personal preferences. Thanks for sharing and watching.
You need to learn about the Japanese Engineer extractor pliers. Those are really designed for extracting broken things
Fun fact, these are Engineer pliers. Engineer makes them and they are sold in the US under Vampire Tools. Not everything that Engineer makes can be found under the Vampire Tools brand but there is a decent selection. Engineer makes some really nice tools, especially for the price you can find them at. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Vamprires*
These pliers are called Vampliers and are made by Engineer in Japan and sold under Vampire Tools in the US. Kind of catchy isn't it? 😁
Thanks for sharing that, I did not know that. 👍🏻
Look like pliers to me.
That's because they are. 👍🏻 😂 Techincally according to Vampire Tools they are screw extraction and lineman's pliers. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Appreciate this video, man.
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching and commenting.
@@garnerreviews of course. Was well done
@@kentturner595 Thanks, my hope is that each video is a little better than the last. 👍🏻
Albion makes good guns. Better than newborn. I don’t babe experience with tajima. Going to purchase one soon.
I have heard good things about the Albion guns but I don't think I have ever used one. Let me know what you think of the Tajima when you get one and how it compares in your mind to the Albion.
The weight makes a big difference in actual use. The heavier tool might feel nice and give an impression of quality, but in reality the Hazet weighs almost as much as the 300mm Knipex. The Icon ripoff is also much heavier then the Knipex, but confusingly seems to also have more handle flex
Yes, weight definitely plays a factor in actual use of the tool and may be considered more depending on the individual. I think for some the extra weight won't be a consideration but I appreciate the strength and weight savings that Knipex achieves in their tools. As far as the Icon is concerned, I would imagine that it is the perfect example of cheaper materials not being able to compete when weight and strength are factored in. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍🏻
