I am SO glad to See your video on my feed! You did an amazing job four years ago covering VendeeGlobe. I look forward to sharing a cup of coffee with you during this race. Best regards from Denver, Colorado USA.
Thank you so much for this video! My father gave me the book the "Godforsaken Sea" by Derek Lundy in 2005 literally a few days before he passed away. That book introduced me to the Vendee Globe. The race has come along way since the 1996-97 edition that unfolds on these pages. I donated to Pip's campaign to have my father's name painted inside her boat and I wanted to sail around the world with Pip as well. At about 37:15 our names appear next to Joff's right ear! Now I know where we are on Medallia!! Go Pip!! Go Team Medallia!!
Thanks for the video and thanks to the Medallia team for the access. I think the skipper comfort is going to be a major factor in the second half of the race 👏👏
Thanks for a fantastic “episode “. I especially loved that it revolved around Pips boat. I just bought a Seawolves mug so I am PUMPED to get this race on the “road”. GO PIP! Thank you Florian. I will be watching your show first thing every day.
That's great news about you getting the media access and you coverage over the last race 4 yrs ago was very good. I'm looking forward to this one and will be supporting Pip. Thank you wolf man 🐺
I really enjoyed but think you should not talk over the person you’re interviewing, it’s hard to hear what they are saying we know you understand but we are trying to 🙈🙈🙈🙈👍👍👍
It's so cool to see you. I was hoping that you would accompany the Vendee once again. You did an extremely cool job 4 years ago and I always enjoyed the videos. So, here we go again
Very glad to see You back ! And starting off with an extremely good and relevant video. In my opinion, for the last Vendee Globe, Your coverage was by far the best and most informative. Better than even the Vendee Globe organisations own coverage ! That says a lot ... I'll surely be following the race on Your channel. Thanks for being back 🙂
@@SeawolvesTV 🙂 Seeing this, Your first Vendee Globe 2024-'25 video, I've absolutely no doubt, that You'll more than manage that 🙂 Very much looking forward to enjoying Your channel as the 'go to'-channel for the next months 🙂
It will be fun to also watch you again. What a race and demand on the captain. What a mental and physical challenge. Out there you cannot make mistakes, especially at those speeds.
Thank you for this most excellent coverage. Congrats on your total access to the fleet which i am sure pleases you as well. Im looking forward to many coffee times with all the Sea Wolves! The last Vendee Globe got me thru my colon cancer treatment and I thank you all for that....I am well. We all were combating the Covid 19 at the same time. Now in the USA we must deal with the first months of our new "leadership" , I'd rather be sailing. Your coverage will get me through. I will now check out the Merchandise! Thanks again for your amazing coverage to come. Doug Lewis, Puget Sound, Washington State, USA
What a fantastic Start! Thank you so much for this warm up Episode. I lost track last two years but you make it pretty easy to restart. Can't wait for tomorrow. Without you I wondered, if I would follow the Vendee as intense I did it last time.
Has it really been 4 years ??? Let’s go Sea Wolves !!! Big Love for Pip Hare and Same Goodchild this year, good luck, fair winds and safe seas for all sailors
nice to see you again.... You did an amazing job four years ago covering VendeeGlobe. I look forward to sharing a cup of coffee with you during this race.
I'm really looking forward to the race and hope that everyone comes back healthy, of course Boris Herrmann will be the first 😉⛵️ Thanks for the great report 👍🏼
Great interview! From what I could see, _Medallia_ is basically a different boat for this VG. So many improvements have been made it would take an entire book to describe them all in detail. I saw some of the videos Pip uploaded when the team was doing the bow reshaping. That alone was a major undertaking and much needed with the new bigger foils. I hope Pip has much better luck this time around. She is such a warrior and inspiration to us all.
Wow Welcome back Florian. So happy to see you part of the Vendee Globe event. Hopefully you have more access and resources. I really enjoy the cup of coffee with the escape into a world of adventure and sailing.
Excited to follow the VG with the Sea Wolves this year. Agree with the other commentators that your coverage is top notch. Watching from Orange Beach, Alabama, USA.
We lagen 1,5 week geleden achter je in de Orangesluis, wilde al vragen of je de Vendee ging verslaan. Goed om te zien dat je er bovenop zit! ga het volgen.
Love this episode about the technical aspects of the boats. I would like so much to see the details of how the halyards, halyard locks, reefing lines, cunning hams/ down haul and running backs all lead from the mast through the deck and are led back to the piano. Thanks.
Great video. Many thanks for sharing! One hint though... I was very interested in what was saying in your interview but several times you were interrupting his speech with 4 or 5 yeah-yeah, and it was more difficult to hear what he was saying.
Hearing that many boats have had their bows cut off and rebuilt makes me wonder how close to the original strength of the connection between bow and the rest you can actually get. It makes me slightly anxious thinking back to PRB breaking in half last time after „only“ changing and fitting the new foils if I remember correctly.
Great interview , best technical discussion. Can we have a little detail on the weather for first few days getting out of Biscay both wind and seastate. Is there any prediction on the Azores high, is west = best
Can you keep in mind the different capabilities of the foilers v daggerbds they will have different optimal awa especially deep reaching and close reaching So the trajectories to get around Azores high and down to Doldrums will be different The first foilers past the doldrums are going to get a big lead
Welcome back to the Vendēe Globe. When you interview anyone, place your mic between yourself and the interviewee. When interviewing Pip’s technical director your volume was fine. His was, roughly, 50% of yours.
great to have you back! looking forward to your race updates! very much appreciated! ... but please get some french person to teach you how to pronounce »Vendée Globe« in some kind of french way :D
Everyone Want's coffee now! Diverting to Port`Antigua's coffee Pier. Maybe a'a Memo next time? the atmosphere ash'ent'm Kan handle ❤ beautiful interview of Jauc ☮️ Got'ta go back Sir, we need to sea where her extra rudder is 😊 Wow! Out of no ~ where! Stoked to wake up every morning for coffee and Vendee. Got me through Covid!

I loved that you got Joff’s insights into Pips boat. I am still wearing your SeaWolves Hoodie proudly in Australia!!
:) Thank you
Great to have you back and as standard goto channel for Vendée updates!
Wow 4 years have gone by like a flash. Happy to be able to follow the Vendee again with you. Thanks
yes so fast :)
Has it really been 4 years ??? Let’s go Sea Wolves !!! Big Love for Pip Hare and Same Goodchild this year, good luck, fair winds and safe seas for all sailors
Please, keep up the technical videos like sail plan, standing and running rigging, i.e. trimming, auto pilot, collision prevention etc.
will get into all of that during the race :)
Boom! Welcome back to the virtual Family. I missed you
As far as Jean LeCam is concerned, I only have to say, “Clack, clack, clack.”
Heyyyy good to see you back! Now my Vendee race coverage is set :) thx for the overview of Pip’s boat! 1500 lbs of foils 😅

Cameras and hydro generators were used widely in the previous editions as well. I’m glad somebody told you they are not hydro janitors. 😊
:)
Thank You Thank You Thank You...your efforts make this event so much better.
Thank you thank you thank you 2 :)
@SeawolvesTV you're efforts bring it all together...greetings from the Chesapeake Bay

The best way to describe how it feels to sail a boat like that, is just imagine being in a Klingon wardbird :)
Welcome back!
Looking forward to this journey!
Pitstop em Itajaí .... Feliz jornada !!!
no stops :)
Excellent intro video into race. Thank you!
So good to see the Sea Wolves for another vendee globe!
Great to be back again for the Vendée. We were totally hooked last time round!
Great first video back for the race! Looking forward to your coverage

Hello. Ahoi! So looking forward to joining in again. All the best from Bali.
Great video.
Many thanks for sharing!
One hint though...
I was very interested in what was saying in your interview but several times you were interrupting his speech with 4 or 5 yeah-yeah, and it was more difficult to hear what he was saying.
Cool good video 😊
Great video, thanks, really enjoyed it, and excellent questions and answers.
Stoked! Glad you are back!
Great stuff! let your guests talk more and finish their points please
Amazing! Thks!
Great interview, thanks
The advancement of technology makes these yatches fly. But also increases the dangers of speed. These skippers are the best and fearless.
Fear does not exist, it only does when life is not lived as it should be with Gusto.
The Vendee Globe has always been a little crazy. Now its violent and crazy. Hope Pip doesn't get thrown around too much.
Awesome video - Thanks from UK - Go PIP!

It makes me slightly anxious thinking back to PRB breaking in half last time after „only“ changing and fitting the new foils if I remember correctly.
Bernard Moitessier would say that today's Vendee Globe race misses the point entirely.
Great interview , best technical discussion. Can we have a little detail on the weather for first few days getting out of Biscay both wind and seastate. Is there any prediction on the Azores high, is west = best

the man hehe
4 years later here we are!!!!!!!!
inded :) good to have you back
Clack clack!
I bet you he will do well!
Very informative. Thank you. Subscribed.
Aaaand, we’re back!

Let's Gooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
This was Awesome!
te gekke uitleg, ik ben fan van jullie
Goed om er ook wat Dutchies bij te hebben :)
...BUT DO YOU STILL FEEL HAPPY AND THE CALM SOUL WHEN THE BOAT MOVES THROUGH THE WATER - LIKE WWHEN WE ALL STARTED OUT SAILING
Oh yeah
