Never mind the logistics and organization. Those are nothing compared to the excessive bureaucracy, special interest group interference, lobbying and politics that goes into such a project.

Thanks for giving the dubbing voice of English as it create the interest to see the documentary continuously rather than checking the subtitles for foreign languages they speak in between.

The problem with berlin is the many foreign companies that have not always worked properly, the airport should have been built only by german companies, but foreign companies were cheaper and now the construction is becoming more expensive.

Not sure if it is really Europe's largest construction project. There are a few huge rail projects. For example Crossrail in London and there is the tunnel below Fehrmann Belt.

The Grand Paris Project has that honor, with a price tag of 40 billion euro, scheduled for completion by 2030. 4 new metro lines will be built, and 2 existing ones extended. All told, a whopping 80 news station will be added to the system.

@mstrmren what about Stutgat 21? What's your excuse for that? It's also a decade late and 3 times over budget. And to add insult to injury, there is no light at the end of that German engineering tunnel. 🤣

@@tally1604 Stuttgart21 is a highly difficult engineering project. I don't know anything in recent Germany infrastructure-history that comes close to the complexity of Stuttgart21. BER was just pure stupidity as we know it from the Berlin and Brandenburg governments.

@@arjunraj823In India, they can build magnificient terminals but never learn to provide a quality experience. It has been last 3 years visiting India, sometimes even taking 5 hours in queue for immigration. Later wait in queue to get your baggage scanned to leave customs. In Frankfurt, never been stopped by any customs after a bag pick up, they actually already know who has what in it. Flat roof or not, I only care for 15 minute time from plane to hight speed train station and soon arriving my destination.

Why, why, why do so many of these documentaries have music playing underneath that compete with the narration. It’s so nice when it briefly stops. Everyone making documentaries should watch a few of Ken Burns’ films. Don’t imitate him but, for everyone’s sake, learn how you can make films where the sound doesn’t fight the images. And props to this one for employing translators instead of subtitles. Many people view such shows on their phones from time to time
