I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

Sienna Lalau was the one that did the choreography for this video. She’s worked alongside XG for some time now. Love their musicality and their synchronized movements.
I think most people realize now that no one is doing it like XG. Period. They are just on another level in a league of their own doing it their own way. If you or anyone missed out on when XG performed this as the introduction at their sold out concert in Japan last Sunday you seriously REALLY missed out. It was absolutely iconic 🔥🔥🔥it was just mind blowing. Rolling Stone Magazine put out their top 100 songs of 2023 & XG's "Left Right" was #77 & Spotify had it at #70. XG is on the cover of VOGUE Japan this month & was on the cover of U.S. Billboard Magazine in OCT. On 12/8 XG is dropping their new single "Winter Without You" MV.

I think the whole choreography for hesonoo focuses on the theme of birth. The heart beating, they being blind first like a baby, i dont know if im imagining things but as a bio major the formations remind me of the stages of cell division too.
That was the goal! HESONOO translates to connected womb/umbilical cord, their whole theme for this album was cells/genes/birth of a new group/alien dna. Their album was designed as cells!

Couldn't be a new era when this is the beginning of the album😭😭. XG is being born/awakened with the X-GENE then they travel the galaxy by way of GRL Gvng, evolve through TGIF, explore in New Dance and celebrate during Puppet show. I get what ur saying but the storyline they've established is pretty clear. This was the final puzzle piece of their tale.

In terms of meaning, I think this is continuing their alien theme. Hesono means umbilical chord in Japanese. It’s also XG’s group chant before they go on stage and it’s like a thing they use to describe their bond. Like 7 lives connected at the umbilical chord. For the song, We’re seeing these aliens live forms in the “womb” in a way, connected to each other during Hesono. (they also had a video for just Hesono thats super short with all of them basically connected in a circle like this nut inside a futuristic alien looking egg). Since they’re still “hatching”, they’re blind in the womb, hence the blindfold. As Xgene kicked in, they basically break through, taking off the blindfold, being “born w the X-gene”

from what ive heard, hesonoo and x-gene as a song is symbolism for birth. the word literally means 'umbilical cord' in japanese and one of the girls talked about how the beginning (when they are laying sown) represents the circle of life, then they are born as one, they create dna that interlink with each other and one that creates x-gene and furthermore xg. also why in this performance dance they are so often interlinked with each other, its to story tell dna and how they are quite literally interlinked, the end also represents a line of dna, they have their arms crossed with each others in a straight like. they also talked about how their mv's all have lore and story telling for example girl gvng, they are fully grown extraterrestrial beings who want to reek havoc, in tgif they show their mutation and superhuman appearances and in puppetshow, they settle on a planet and rule over its people. the album has hesonoo first, to represent their creation of dna and life and puppetshow last, the represent their end goal/ result as full grown beings. the whole album is basically their storytelling life cycle. and also what picked up from the lyric pov of x-gene is the whole song is foreshadowing their future actions like invading planets, becoming aliens etc. and it feels like they're saying their own dna since it was created was made for these very things. every lyric in x-gene foreshadows the next song and so on.
Hesonoo and X-Gene are at the beginning of the album. They’re the introduction. This isn’t a new era this is how they started out. Lore wise anyways. I think either Simon didn’t anticipate us wanting visuals for everything and when he did they worked hard to put it together for us or that it was planned to be the last bit of this era before the next release so we have something to talk about but hold us over until then.

They’re doing the intro tracks of their recent album, technically this goes before Girl Gang, this is the intro for the New DNA era of their recent album, it’s not a new one. I think they’re just doing it right now and not before because of their Tour.

Super excited for the world tour announcements My daughter said she wants to go if they are coming to Canada so I will be super on board to see these ladies in their first of hopefully many world tours. They are definitely starting a hype train that is reaching global levels so seeing such an early form of the monster group they're on their way to becoming it feels like something special.

So Hesonoo, translated from Japanese is Umbilical Cord. XG really is brilliant. The whole New DNA album is one long story about their evolution. The video's I think were done out of order of their story. But I think it was done on purpose so that people can try and figure it out. Each video is a concept of their lives from an "alien" perspective. So this would be about being born and the start of their journey. As to where Puppet Show would be about finally making it to the top of the world. idk, just my thought process on them.
