If you're running hardware that's based on STM32 then future versions won't run. So you'll have to either don't upgrade or invest in other hardware. It's probably best to ask on the ExpressLRS discord channel for the latest thinking and options. There's loads of super helpful people on there.
Small gripe, but has ExpressLRS stated that its pronounced "Gemin-ee"? Like how NASA pronounced the 'Gemini 4'? At least that's the only place I heard the word pronounced this way I would have thought its just "Gemin-eye", like the star sign
