Great review, thanks for this, need to go smell it. I tried royal tobacco, overture and black iris interlude yesterday and on first impression I really enjoyed all three.
Love Indian food, love curry 🍛 Just don’t really wanna smell like it 😊 Love Amouage but it ain’t what it used to be sadly. I’ll always be a fan and I hope to be charmed again in future. Christopher Chong era Amouage is my fave house 💯 I will say interlude black iris is stunning… but then I always loved the original. It never feels old, wows me every time. Cheers Marc
@@robes08 I hope you like it! I got Overture Man this past week. I enjoyed it, and it lasted a long time. For me, it was like a combination of Interlude Man, Epic Man, and a little bit of Journey Man. It ends up being similar to something like Issey Miyake Polaris: I don't remember exactly which Issey Miyake it's similar to. I hope to try Overture Woman eventually.
Cheers Marc, not sniffed this one , I really only have 1 from the Opus line, lV and I do enjoy it ,my latest purchase from Amouage is Overture and am very happy with it. I also ask myself why axe the older bottles and The discontinued selection? Most probably to appease the new order of Amouage purchasers ✌️🙏👍
Personally I really enjoy Opus VII, I love the classic sharp dark green and spiced opening and the refreshing lack of sweetness. I also prefer my spices unsweetened (I hate those sweet, powdery spice bombs). I get a freshly sliced bell pepper from this in the opening. From the Library collections I have I, V, VI, VII and IX and. I think VII for me was the star of the original library collection. When you say "most people will hate this" - I think I have to read that as "most Americans". The rest of the world? I think it's probably going to be far more accepted. To me the fenugreek is more or a herbal aromatic element (definitely not Indian to my nose), more almost like dried parsley. I don't find it exotic or overly foody. I think the leather if any comes from the nagarmotha, which is also in VI, but I also think that's where the oud maybe comes from. It's full of contrasts, soft and spiky.
I need to try more of the Opus Line. I have Rose Incense but it's the only one from the collection I've even smelled. This one sounds interesting, but I think I'd enjoy Silver Oud and King Blue a bit more. I'll certainly give it a shot, though.
First three seconds it smells like pizza on an ashtray, then it becomes very VERY incensy, as in the resin, with a veeery faint sweetness about it. About half an hour later, a very bright tobacco leaf comes in very prominently. I love it and it reminds me of the Chris Chong era, this is great, yet a bit challenging.
@@robes08 Thanks to you, now I live in the tropics and I know how weather makes a big impact on fragrances. Just by turning the a/c on, some may become a totally different fragrance on their own!
Mmmmmm Spices.... Cumin 🤤 I was curious about this one, I think it's a better option for me than Royal Licorice, er I mean Incense, I mean Tobacco 😆But right know I got my sight on Fate Man, does the spices are stronger than in Reckless Leather? Excellent detailed Samplin' as usual, Thank you Marc!!!
Fate is a lot more "mass appealing" in composition, Opus VII is quite challenging to my nose. Not one I'd be comfy wearing out and about. Very "green", VERY spicy

Thanks Mr. Bee! Appreciate your takes on my channel!
Hi Marc. I like Amouage Opus VII. I plan to get a bottle of it eventually. Have you reviewed Overture Man yet?
Overture is on her way to my channel

I'm sure the discontinuation has it's reasons. I will finally be unboxing my Overture shortly on the channel

I want to sniff more of the Opus line in 2024, hopefully I get a few more samples in the new year!
Top review from a top man.🙃
Big up!
My personal favorite from this line is Opus XIII Silver Oud. Opus VI was a great one that got discontinued. Really hope they bring that back.
It is back. Amouage silver oud.
I hear really good things on Silver. I'll sample that one in 2024
@@user-dj1dg3sp6o Yeah Silver Oud just had a change of bottle. It's Opus VI that I'd like to see come back.
Opus 6 is a sweet incense and most definitely the one to get if you still can
Bathroom cake 🎂 😂😂😂😂😂 I am not sure about this line. Royal Tabocco didn't do it for me at all unless I wanna go to church 😂
Hope you're doing well my friend! There's some interesting takes in this Opus line but it's for a certain demographic imo.
Full on review. Awesome. 👍
Thanks! 👍
Spot on review.
Appreciate it!
Marc, Opus vi is the one for you. Spicy Amber
noted!

very interesting take, seems like you got a totally different idea than me. Thanks for sharing!

I think the spices are on par to Fate to be honest, it hits hard up top (spices) and then they mellow but still are primary throughout.
Then Fate it is, before it is impossible to find, thanks Marc!!!
❤❤👏🏼👏🏼
I forgot about this one.i just ordered a sample
Enjoy!
When I first smelled it, it reminded me of a Chilis or an Applebees dining room..like exactly how a chain restarant smells...it was horrible..
lol
Wonder if it's similar to Fate Man, which utilizes heavy Cumin and for some reason I enjoy

The spice composition legit gives it a food appeal
I agree with Rome's answer to you.
Thanks for the feedback guys 👏🏽
1st
congrats!
I don’t like this one because of the costus.
The worst Amouage I’ve smelled to date.
I could see that!
Can you please review Unique'e luxury kutay??
noted, I'd have to get a sample of it as I don't have a bottle.
